Loved

My sister drowned when we were children. It was my fault, and my father made sure I never forgot. Not one day passes without him reminding me what a failure I am and how much he despises me. An accident from a few years ago left me with scars on my face. When men look at me, they do it with disgust. To get rid of me, so he won’t have to look at my scared face, my father sells me to the Bravta, forcing me to marry a man that I have never met. The man I am supposed to get married to can’t make it to the wedding. Instead of him, the men who once held my heart appear at my father’s house, claiming they are there to escort me to where my future husband is waiting for me. Dominick, Ivan, and Uri—the ones I once thought were my knights in shining armor are actually my worst enemies. They want to break me, to shatter what’s left of me. What they don’t realize is that I’ve been living in a nightmare ever since that cursed day, broken into pieces scattered by the wind. After hours of flying, we land in Siberia, where I finally meet the man who bought me, the one who is supposed to be my husband—Dimitri. He seems to hate me just as much as Dominick, Ivan, and Uri. It doesn’t take long to realize that Dimitri doesn’t want to marry. He wants to prepare me for a lifetime in the Blood Lodge, where I would serve the Russian Lords.
