Trying For New Beginnings

My life changed forever four years ago. I lost the love of my life, the only person who truly loved me. The only person I had in this world. Now here I am, trying to make a new start in Scotland, but I refuse to let my husband go. It is hard to let him go when I still see and feel him around me every day. It was not part of the plan to meet a new man, one who knows what I am feeling because he lost someone too. We clash from the second I move in, but soon, we find ourselves bonding over our trauma, something no one else can understand. I am looking for a friend, nothing more. I hate that I can't feel his touch as strongly as when he was still alive. "No, that won't happen. You promised you wouldn't leave." I whimper. Losing him a second time would kill me.
