Love Disappears Before Blindness

Amelia was born with a visual impairment and abandoned by her mother at a young age. Upon returning home, the fragile Amelia bravely fell in love with Chris, a love that lasted for over a decade. She married Chris as she had hoped, but on their wedding day, her mother also married her off to a seventy-year-old man. Angered, Chris said, "If you dare to deceive me, you will pay the price." He heartlessly left, leaving her alone to complete the wedding amidst mockery, spending the night in an empty room. Over the next three years, she deeply understood the price Chris wanted her to pay. She endured solitude, watching her husband be intimate with other women, even having to relinquish her identity as a wife. Chris coldly said, "My real wife has returned, let's get a divorce." She was angry and unwilling, but with only a few short months left, she was about to lose her sight. Chris would never want a blind wife. She left in despair, lost her sight, and died pregnant in a murder.  The usually proud and noble Chris went mad, holding her corpse for a whole day, not allowing anyone to come near. "Amelia, you said you wanted to see the lavender fields in summer, and the Northern Lights in winter. I will take you, as long as you open your eyes and look at me. Please..."
