Celebration
Chapter Eighty-Nine – Celebration
It felt like a huge burden had been lifted off his shoulders yesterday, coupled with the good news that the Trial was successful.
The burden of the bratty lady who he finally realized was named Kate. She had attacked him in her usual way and Neon confronted her.
Sweat beads filled her forehead and words couldn't leave her mouth. She stammered out a sorry but got ignored. It had been a priceless moment for Dominic.
Neon could break up with her from there, after all, his interest were on Selene, not her copycat.
The case in court hadn't been over yet. All that's left was the court's sentence over Mr. Allen and Mrs. Jones. Allen Company had been completely given to Brielle to save it.
Dominic hadn't heard from her since she ran out after her argument with Pamela's argument, but it didn't bother him.
What they shared those few months before his accident faded the moment they began doubting each other.
And he wanted focus on his company and kids. He made a promise to revive the Thales Empire back to it's former glory so he already had filled hands.
When he would be done, he'd look for that coward grandfather of his, probably sunbathing in a native island away from media or else why hadn't he returned?
"Well, that's still a long time from now!" Dominic rose from his seat. "And I really need to hire a secretary."
Jamie could no longer fill that role professionally. After all, his role had been a butler and at Dominic's home buzzling with four active boys, a butler was needed.
"Yeah, so you'd be living with a man now."
Dominic frowned at Bethany. "I thought you said you didn't mind whatever decision your sister and I made."
Bethany rolled his eyes, holding the sleeping Bobo tightly on him. "Let's go and celebrate. It's not my business."
Those would be his words yet he still acted like it were his business. Dominic adjusted his tie. The celebration would be to thank all for the help he had so far.
His eyes went to his phone as it buzzed, his lips widened. "Casimir and…Jean? That one agreed to come? Great."
Things might not have turned fancily as he'd put their mother in prison, yet they were still family and Casimir, even Jean, had helped him so far.
The young master hurried out his office, keeping the grin on his face. After the case will be over, he'd be habitually careful of the Society's influence.
As Bethany advised, the Society usually offered some kind of help first before making a move. So Dominic aimed to always worked alone or with trusted ones.
Tracking and breaking down a Society as vicious as the one that could tear down Thales Empire will be a hassle. He didn't want Thales Empire to fall for the second time.
Driving himself to Pommel, Dominic bounced out proudly. In as much as the Young CEOs Meeting happened at that floor, the company till gave it out for such events.
The people Dominic invited were few but he wanted to make it a loud celebration hence he hired the hall.
As he walked in, he saw the decorations and interior designs were only finished. That morning, they were still busy, those people must have inhuman speed.
"Daddy!" he heard the twins call him, they were seated at a round table. One look from Jamie and they tempered down, it made Dominic chuckle.
Soon the place filled with guests, the guests were less than hundred so he hired big classy chairs and tables that'd fill the hall up.
This will mark the first party Young Master Dominic Thales will be throwing after awaking coma and surviving all that followed.
A party that started the reborn of Thales Empire!
The celebration started and they were slightly more people than Dominic invited.
Like, why would be invite Anderson of Scion motors? They were never friends but the man came with gifts for his sons so he'd excuse him.
It got to his giving of thanks. Dominic walked to the stage, clinking his glass with a spoon to get everyone's attention. He handed the glass to Jamie when all looked at him.
"I'd like to thank everyone here, sorry I won't be specially calling names," there was a low chuckle from the crowd, "for being a support to me since all these started."
A waiter brought a wine glass to him and he held it up. "To cheer to all of us! May justice always prevail!" The last part was a subtle toast to Selene.
She clapped, oblivious, though Jamie noticed and smiled.
The party went on as usual, with the twins habitually looking outside, searching for their mother. "Daddy?"
Dominic had been dreading the question. He had no idea where Brielle went to. Thankfully, model Alvarez asked to take pictures and they forgot their mother for a while.
The young master didn't plan to send a search party for Brielle, a grown adult, but if something related to Mr. Allen had happened to her, it'd be really bad.
The celebration ended and Dominic rushed towards Casimir and Jean before they'd disappear. He didn't notice the two soldiers running after him.
"Casimir, Jean!" he stopped before them, panting slightly. Jean snapped her head to the other side while Casmir smiled. "Long time no see. And Thales Empire is really holding up."
Dominic nodded. "Yeah," he wanted to speak of the case but since Casimir didn't bring it up, he let it slide. "I want a contracted collaboration between us now. I plan to restart Thales Tech but so much still needs to be done."
Jean got interested in the conversation. "Y-You'd still work with us after everything that had happened?"
Even her brother seemed confused by her question.
"Well, we are family after all. Family shouldn't hurt each either and work together, right?" Dominic smiled.
Jean sniffed then fell on Dominic in a hug, wailing. "Thank you. Sorry…"
Dominic got confused. "Wait..." His words were enough to make her cry? "I didn't think you could cry so easily…"
"I told you she's a kid." Casimir said, picking up Dorian and Lucian that'd been staring at him. "Like these ones."
Dominic didn't really get it but at least, his family was close to complete and that's all that mattered.
