Crazy!
Chapter Eighty-Seven – Crazy!
What did Neon want with him? Dominic kept his eyes on him. Neon still had a plastered smile on his face.
Seeing he was bent on being a guest, Dominic sighed and gestured for him to seat down. His plans to continue reading comments were over.
Dominic sat down too, placing Dorian on his laps. "You wanted to see me? I hope nothing happened in the family." Not that he'd care but he just wanted to ask.
Neon exhaled. "We are family members, you know?"
Dominic nodded. Dorian turned to him questioningly. "He's really my uncle? Another one?"
Did Neon introduce himself as his uncle? The father nodded. "Yes, another one. Be happy that you have tons."
Dorian smiled widely. "I'm happy."
Neon smiled. "I didn't think you'd have kids."
Why did he sound so familiar? Dominic hummed. "Yeah, I do, after all, kids are a blessing." He went straight to the point. "You came here because…?"
"Right." Neon took a picture out of his pocket.
Was it Selene? Dominic narrowed his eyes on the picture till it came closer. It was his Aunt Pamela. "Did you give her the company?" Neon made emphasis on the company.
"Why do you ask-"
"In the showbiz, there are few companies who can rival Sudan. Few people who can work to rival Sudan." Neon's brows raised. "Why did you give it to her-"
"It's my choice. I wasn't interested in showbiz." Dominic sat up straight. "Sudan belongs to?"
He had heard of the company. They were like his mom's multi-billionaire movie production. Except not as old. Since his mother's went on hiatus, Sudan had gotten bigger.
Dominic never felt interested in it. Until he gave the company to aunt Pamela to continue. She was the one most interested in showbiz.
"Sudan belongs to my mother. She was an actress before marrying my father." Neon rested back. "Of course, she's worried about this but nothing can be done-"
"Oh, did she stop being an actress after marrying your father?" Dominic interrupted.
Neon tilted his head. "Well, yes, for some reasons."
"Ah, then why was your father so pissed that my mother stopped her business after marrying my father? Could it be because my mother's was more promising?"
Neon had a blank expression before smiling. "I guess so."
Dominic expected him to be offended but he just smiled it off. He sank into his chair. "Well then, you know nothing can be done about it. Anything else?"
Neon hummed, looking at Dorian who was almost asleep. "He's the youngest twin, right?"
Was that an important topic of discussion? And wasn't his father's grandchild his own child too? Why was he even chasing after Selene while having his own family?
Dominic rubbed his temples. "I never asked. They argue about it a lot. It's probably him though."
Neon chuckled. "They argue a lot?" he stood up to rub Dorian's hair and the little boy smiled on being ticklish.
Why was he stalling? Dominic held Neon's hand. "Do you need anything else?"
"You want me to leave?" Neon sat back.
"Not really." Dominic released him. "Why do you stay?"
Neon smiled. "I'm less busy too so visited. You don't seem busy today. I mean your receptionists are two cute boys."
"Well, I can still do personal stuff. You know I have a case in court-" there was a knock on the door. "Come in."
Suzy walked in with a pile of papers. She turned to Neon and made a small bow. She continued to Dominic.
"Good morning sir. My mom said that since the case is almost over, these are just a few of the expenses. You can check…"
She trailed off when it seemed Dominic's heart short-circuited. "Well, check them out." Suzy concluded and hurried out of the room.
Neon looked into the paper. "Your worker? He sounds sort of petty? How could be charge 550/hr. when he was employed less than a year ago?"
Dominic sniffed. Thales Empire would definitely become bankrupt by the time Selene was done with him. "I should address this immediately or it'd stick."
He took his phone and dialed her line, the moment she picked up, he yelled. "Are you mad, huh? 550/hr.?"
Selene clicked her tongue. "Start paying or you'd lose this case, Dominic." She smirked. "I should make it more."
"Huh?" Dominic heard the line cut.
His began beating faster. She'd make it more? He'd lose his case? It was hard to know when she was joking. He exhaled, looking at Neon with drooped eyes. "Women."
Women? Neon wouldn't have guessed the petty employer was a woman. The door to the office opened an Selene walked in, a pen in her hand. "Let's make it 600/hr. then!"
Dominic sprang up from his seat, holding Dorian. "That's not a funny joke, Selene! That's too preposterous!!"
"Do you know how popular you got because of me?" she rested on the door. "You should even pay much more-"
She met the gaze of the surprised man in the room. "Ah, the pervert? He came to see you, Dominic?"
"P-Pervert? W-Why?" Neon jumped from his seat too.
Dominic sighed. This woman was really ready to rile everyone up. "You must be in a good mood, Selene. We'd talk when your mood is shitty again."
She smirked. "It might go higher by then but we'd talked later." she glanced at Neon then smiled before leaving.
She was in a good mood. After all, the decade long case will finally be over.
Neon's ears reddened on being smiled at.
Dominic sat down back on his chair, breathing heavily. "I'd have to talk to her younger brother. And Suzy if I can. She's crazy. Really crazy."
Neon sat down calmly. "You know her family?"
"Well, her father was really close to my family. Sort of a father figure to me." Dominic replied, looking through the expenses. "Huh? I should pay for her fuel too? Crazy!"
Neon stared at him then looked at Dorian who gazed at him. His father sudden screaming had woken him up.
