Crazy Lady
Chapter Eighty-Two – Crazy Lady
Could this be it what started their attack in the first place? Could it be his Grandfather rejected the Society?
Dominic couldn't be so sure. It was only an example by Lucas anyway. Yet, this gave him lots of insights to what could be going on within the Society.
He rubbed Lucas head and took out a hundred dollar bill. "This really helped so I'd pay for your services, Teacher Lucas."
His nephew's eyes widened on seeing the bill, but he comported himself and replied. "Thank you and I hope you learnt a thing or two from my short lecture."
Dominic laughed as he returned to his study room. He should visit his hospital and make enquires. The more of these Society members he finds, the better evidence.
Leaving the study later, he found no one in the living room. He looked at the wall. Brielle had drafted a timetable for the kids. By the side there was a calendar for those who followed the timetable exactly and the prizes involved.
Dominic slightly shuddered, he hadn't realize Brielle was such a perfectionist but thankfully, she also devised a way to reward the obedient ones.
By the timetable, the children should be asleep so it's no wonder no one was on the living room. They'd be asleep till the next two hours.
"If only I had such fancy time table." Dominic mumbled. But they'd be no use to him. Unpredictable things happened to him when he least expected it.
"I could draft one for you." Brielle offered, walking into the living room. Her heart quickened realizing they were all alone in the living room.
"No need." Dominic said, exhaling. "I'd be walking out for a while. I need to investigate something. Take care."
No need again? Brielle looked down, but then her head shot up. "Can I follow you? Where are you going to?"
Follow him? Dominic frowned. "Stay with the kids, Brielle. You don't have to follow me anywhere."
His tone scared her but she didn't want to back away. "If I see you working on the case, I could remember something that'd help you." She suggested.
It still wasn't happening. Dominic folded his arm. "We are divorced, Brielle. And I'm going to a hospital that knows that. They'd begin spreading rumors and right now, I need only good things trending about me."
So she wasn't a good thing? Brielle huffed internally. "I'm going to the hospital then. Just drive me there."
The only hospital she knew he'd go to was the one he woke up from coma in and Brielle also had unfinished business there.
When she had called the doctor's assistant, he said that her husband hasn't yet awoken but it was a lie. Perhaps slamming his head on a wall will ease her annoyance now.
"You have a car yet you want me to take you?" Dominic sighed. Why did he forget she was difficult sometimes? And the overly pushy attribute that Bethany had too, it should be a family trait.
They got into the car after making sure the house was properly locked. The hospital was a few minutes ride. Brielle got down before Dominic did.
She hurried into the hospital so fast that Dominic got curious on what she actually wanted to do. She knocked at the office of the assistant.
"Who's that? I'm really busy now-"
The door slammed open. The doctor's assistant, Matt, shrieked but relaxed seeing it was Brielle. "Milady?"
The door slammed closed then locked, Brielle gently cat walked towards the man. Seeing her body move so gently made a small grin appear on Matt's face.
Still he was surprised by the visit, Brielle always turned him down. Had she finally come to her senses and realize what kind of amazing man he was?
He let out a small moan when she sat on his lap, then she wrapped her hand around his neck. This was a dream come true for him.
Lady Brielle had finally given in to his irresistible charms.
"Matt, are you happy to see me here?" Brielle played with his hair. He nodded thrice. "Yes, you came to see me."
Brielle smirked, then her hand moved.
Matt left out a shrill scream but as she's close, she covered his mouth. She stabbed the pen deeper into his legs. "Bastard, I would kill you if I could."
Brielle seethed. "You lying fool! Do you really think you worth one-tenth to my husband, huh? You lied to me!"
Math let out muffled screams at intervals. He tried throwing her off but strangely, the lady was really strong and was sitting on his hands.
"You told me that Dominic wasn't awake but he was! This is all your fault." Brielle slapped him cross the face. She scoffed. "Who did you even think you were?!"
The crazy men who obsessed after her like they could actually have her were the worst. At times, their stupid talk were all they had. No intelligence, money or power.
She slapped him on the face. "You owe Dominic an apology and you owe me one too, but first tell me, did you do anything to him while he was in coma?"
She asked because Dominic said her wanted to investigate a matter and then came to the hospital.
With the amount of betrayal going on, Brielle guessed that he suspected some game while he was at the hospital.
Brielle didn't think it was impossible since someone as scummy as Matt worked there. If the doctor was involved, he'd be difficult to talk to, but his assistant could be useful.
"Answer me!" she slapped him again.
Matt grew furious with the behavior but his resolve kept failing every time, he tried to move her but she pushed him down. "I'm not saying anything!" he managed to say.
Brielle raised another pen in front of him. "Then you'd really hate me by the time I'm done with you."
Still that was progress, he said he wouldn't say anything which meant there was something to say.
Unknown to Brielle, Dominic was outside the assistant's door. He had gone straight to the doctor's office but was told the doctor was busy so should meet his assistant.
But his ex-wife was already busy on it. Dominic smirked. He had also forgotten that she could be crazy too.
