Chapter 69 The Demon He Became
“Then why did you lie!?” He yelled back, refusing to bulge.
“Because of this damn reaction!” She shouted but he refused to listen and punched the wall, earning a scream from her out of fear.
“FUCK!”
Tears began to stream down her face, trembling when the veins became transparent along with redness. His raspy breaths suffocated her.
And none of her reactions had a single effect, ravaging her further.
“I should have known! Did you tell him everything!?”
“ENOUGH!”
She cried miserably, hoping desperately he would listen and stop, that her presence had a slightest effect but to no avail.
“Did you tell him or not, Arabella!?”
With his eyes widening, he threw a vase near Arabella, scaring her inexplicably. She couldn't bear this side of him anymore, it was tainting her very soul.
His mind had ceased to work, he had fallen into abysmal darkness, and yet he refused to return from the hell he chose.
“No! I didn’t do anything, William, stop it, please! You are frightening me!”
“Stop lying to me, dammit!”
Covering her ears, shutting her eyes, she shifted down to her knees, curled like a ball when William began to throw things and the resonance of it echoed.
Arabella could feel her heart would leap out of her chest, if she looked while he was tearing the room apart while shouting heartbreaking words, voice breaking along with tears filling in his eyes as well.
“You lied to me! You always do this to me! You use me over and over again!”
“William please… stop… don’t be an animal,”
She cried violently, the sound was terrifying her, imprinting a terrible memory she could never remove.
But, he had been resolved to show his worst side mixed with the complaint he latched with her, pointing at his heart, he shouted.
“You have always toyed with my feelings!”
Pulling his hair, he screamed, “ALWAYS!!”
His hands began to shake ferociously, looking here and there but nothing worked as a chain.
“That’s not true!”
“Lies! You never listen! Never think about me! You always hurt me in the end! Since the start… you were like this!”
His violence was merely murdering the little bits of spark Arabella had, the pieces of past that held Arabella together with- ‘he might realize’
And now all of it was dying and there was nothing she could do but to wail at her choice of marrying this senseless man.
Sniffling, hugging herself, scared if she reached him he might hurt her too, she forced her eyes to open only to greet the traumatizing sight.
…Her William was nowhere. All she saw was a beast who had made devastation as his purpose to exist…
“P-Please… you are scaring me..”
To her agonized call, he paused for a moment, creating an intense eye contact with her that made her quiver, stealing her breaths from her throat.
“Please, don’t… don’t do this…”
She forced these words out, squatting before her that made her light-headed, she could feel her vision blurring.
“Then why do you do this to me, my darling? Why do you hurt me? Why do you embed scars?” He growled breathlessly in a whisper.
Roughly moving his hands across her face, smearing the blood all over her lips, giving her nothing but pure repulsion.
“This is not you-”
He pressed his thumb harder, literally threatening her, “Shh, shh, now don’t say a fucking word. You- You caused this. You are the reason this happened,”
But, for some buried expectations, for a final endeavor, she brought her and placed it on his cheek, pressing it firmly.
“William, control yourself, I can’t bear it anymore-”
“I SAID SHUT THE FUCK UP!”
Only to receive failure, killing all the pillars of their fragile bond in one nightmarish interaction.
She found it hard to react at this point and continued trembling when he got up again, stopping his eyes at her picture hanging beautifully on the wall, right above Arabella.
“Damn this picture!”
Without a warning, he threw the nearby brush on the glass frame, causing it to be razed… just like his marriage.
“STOP IT, WILLIAM!”
Screaming, she got frightened when it broke as it was right above her head and could have dealt too much damage to her as well.
“What the fuck is wrong with you, you motherfucker!?”
She crawled away from the place yet a shard pieced her calf, wincing in pain, failing to endure the fatality of his presence, Arabella could feel the darkness consuming her.
Her mind failed to register whatever happened or what he spoke to enhance her agony.
Eventually after the intolerable experience, Arabella lost her consciousness followed by all the inane hopes she clung onto for her marriage…
There was nothing left.
When William saw the blood oozing and Arabella lying there, he shrunk his eyes and stopped before her angrily.
“Stop your damn acting, Arabella, get up,”
She didn’t react, which made him shift to his knee, shaking her shoulder rudely.
“Get up, dammit, do you think you can get away by faking?”
But when nothing worked, the fury he was so decisively followed was vanquished as he lifted her from the ground.
“Arabella..?”
Shaking her little, he checked how freezing her body was that dried his throat, mind turning blank on what to do anymore.
“Bella, wake the fuck up… Bella!”
And realizing what he ended up doing in the moment of wrath, he called the doctor immediately.
Covering his mouth with his hand, in a stunned state, he was staring into nothingness.
The doctor checked Arabella, leaving him in a daze of how remorselessly he broke boundaries.
…. Yet she kept on calling him and explaining.
And he didn’t listen, not once, ‘Oh Lord, what the fuck have I done?!’
“H-How is she, doc?”
“Don’t worry, it’s just a weakness. May I know what made her faint?”
“A…”
He paused and found a befitting name for his actions, “Nightmare,”
“I see. It must have triggered her, do take care of her diet especially, she is extremely weak. I have prescribed some medicines too, make sure she takes them on time,” He advised.
“Okay, doctor. Thank you,”
