Chapter 130 Who's The Voice

Chapter 130 Who's The Voice
Nelo's POV
Later in the night, we took shifts waking up as we kept guard over at Blake's cottage. The first three nights went by calmly, but the fourth night...
"Mother! I'm coming!" Julia said as she leapt over the mountain.
"Boys! Run!" I called out as Julia leapt off.
I knew Blake, Dane and Wade had heard me, so the others will follow along.
"Boys, part. One group, go over to the other side of the cave." I said as I thought she would head over to the cave again, but this time she ran towards the Nicougue Woods.
"Waren, call the boys back." I said as we ran behind Julia.
She crossed every pack domain, and then even came out of the woods, but this was a side I think no one knew about.
The forest was dense, and full of viper snakes.
"Boys, be careful."
"Nelo, we're vampires. Don't you think you should be more worried about her? I mean, she's a mortal wolf." Waren said as he came back with the boys.
"Poison is something that can freeze our nervous system for hours. We don't have that time." I said in a frank voice.
Finally, we stopped as I could see Julia.
"Mother! Mother!" Julia called out.
Just then a female appeared.
"Who are you?" Julia's transformation surprised me as this was not what I was expecting.
"What? Is that how you greet your moth--"
"I don't have a mother. The one I saw as my mother, died before I could get to know her, and I'm sure she'd have loved me no less than what my father did. And, you're not the one who gave birth to me, cause you're not a wolf. Who are you?" Julia asked in a frank voice.
"Ouch that hurt." The female said. "Okay, then so be it. My name is Pilan and I am a witch. I have some grave work that has to be done during the Golden Conjunction. But, I'm already eighty so I won't survive. I know you have a lot of knowledge on immortality. Hand over everything and I'll let you leave." Pilan said as she held her hand out.
"Golden Conjunction?"
"Yes, the Golden Conjunction will be seen on earth on September eight, twenty forty. When five planets will align. I must complete the work then, only then can I save myself." Pilan said, explaining.
"You won't be alive by then, so what's the difference if by then you can or cannot save yourself." Julia said in a frank voice.
"That's not for you to worry about." Pilan said in a frank voice.
"Well, you got the wrong person. I don't have any more immortality herbs. They got stolen by a shadow that's been lurking around Ashstone Forest. And, I swore to my husband, I won't get involved in this again."
I smiled as I heard Julia's frank answer.
"Okay, I ain't telling you to go against him. If what you said is true, fine. Tell me all that you know. I'll let you leave." Pilan said in a frank voice.
"Let me leave? Did you think your voice captivated me and brought me here?" Julia said as the smile on Pilan's face faded away. "Think again. The only reason I came here is, you are using my mother as a leverage. I never had a mother, and someone feigning as my mother, is not walking away with it."
With that Julia leapt and attacked the female. As she fell onto the ground from Julia's attack, I signalled the boys to come out.
"Julia! Stay back." I said as I stood in front of her.
"Nelo!" Julia said surprised.
"Dustin told me to keep an eye out. So, me and the boys are here. You've done enough. Don't worry Blake too much."
"Sure."
Then the boys attacked, and finally she ran off.
"Nelo, she's definitely not one of us, not that Jason."
"Waren, she said she was a witch. Of course she's not--"
"She wasn't a human, Julia. So, she may be a witch, but she's definitely not a human. And if she was a witch, what spell can't she get and why is she bothered about saving herself in twenty forty, when she's already eighty." Waren said in a frank voice.
"Oh, I didn't think about that. Now that I recall, yes, I didn't get human vibes from her." Julia said in a surprised voice.
"Okay, let's head back. It's been three hours. Blake and the others must be worried sick." Waren said as we all headed back.
Julia ran into Blake's arms as she saw him waiting for her along with the others.
"Nelo, is it solved or--"
"Solved?" Julia said as she was still holding onto Blake. "I'd say, 'It has just begun. She's a witch, and not a human."
As we all sat around the table, and Julia told what the witch said, Jennifer said, "So, she is a witch, but none of us or humans. Then--"
"She's not a werewolf. I can confirm that as well." Julia said, cutting Jennifer's words.
"Now what else is there?" Jennifer said, sighing.
"Oh, and she mentioned something called Golden Conjunction." Julia said, recalling the words.
"Yes, she said it will be coming around September Eight, twenty forty. Since she's already eighty years old, she needs immortal herbs. That's why she was luring Julia over there. But Julia gave her a frank answer. She said, the shadow took all the herbs and she won't hurt her husband by doing this again. Then Julia attacked, we attacked, she ran off."
"Her eyes, they started changing colors. So, I thought she was getting angry or something." Julia said, explaining.
"Which other beings are there that we know of?" Dane asked, looking around.
"Well, there are fairies, elves, goblins, gnome's." Jenna says taking a few names.
"Fairies and elves are magical, so they won't be needing immortality. Goblins, and gnome's, they ain't sweet looking ladies. Who else?" Dustin said, looking around.
"Which other being have we forgotten?" Claude says pounding on his mind.
"I think Jenna took all the names. If it's none of them, then we really have a new being on hand." Lily says in a frank voice.
