Renee’s mother handed over all the company affairs to her subordinates, so that she could concentrate on accompanying Renee during her treatment.
In private clinic, Renee’s mother explained to Renee, “Renee, the miracle doctor who treated your leg has a strange personality. He doesn’t like outsiders to be present during the
treatment.
“So, I will wait for you outside and pick you up when the treatment is over.”
Many miracle doctors had rather eccentric personalities and Renee understands this.
A female nurse pushed Renee in.
After being pushed in, Renee stayed in the room alone for a long time.
Renee sat in a wheelchair, feeling a little uneasy looking at the unfamiliar environment.
When she was about to call the nurse, a man in a suit and gold–rimmed glasses walked in.
“Renee, long time no see.” The man walked to the opposite side of Renee, bent down slightly and stretched out his right hand.
Renee was stunned for a moment and shook hands with the man.
“Have we known each other before?” Renee raised her eyes and looked at the man in front of her. There was indeed no such person in her memory.
A hint of hurt flashed across the man’s eyes and then the corners of his lips slightly raised as he answered, “I know Ms. Jackson, but Ms. Jackson probably doesn’t remember me.
“Five years ago, we met once. At that time, you represented the school in a dance competition. I was one of the investors of that competition, so I was deeply impressed by you.”
Renee tried hard to recall the competition five years ago and some scattered fragments of memory flashed through her mind.
She tried hard to capture the image for a long time, but still could not think of this person. Five years ago, her eyes were full of Felix, so how could she remember another man?
“Sorry, I still don’t remember,” Renee said apologetically.
Although the man looked a little disappointed, he said, “It’s okay. I was the first one to notice you. It’s normal that you don’t remember me.”
Renee did not know how to respond to the man. Even if they had met five years ago, they were just casual acquaintances. How could he remember it for so long?
Some things were just a thin layer of window paper away, but Renee was a little timid and dare not break it, so she took the initiative to change the subject.
“After all this talk, I still don’t know how to address you.”

“Jeromy Gilbert.”

Hearing this name, Renee was stunned for a few seconds. She was very familiar with the
name.
He was the youngest entrepreneur in the financial reports at home and abroad. He had made it into the top ten of the Forbes rich list before he was 30 years old.
It was just that this rich man did not like to appear in the public eye, so there were never any photos of him on the Internet.
But Renee quickly denied this idea.
If he was really a wealthy man on the Forbes rich list, why would he become a doctor?
She thought it was just a duplicate name.
After regaining her consciousness, Renee returned to the purpose of her visit today.
“Doctor Gilbert, my legs have been useless for many years. This time I came to ask you to see if there is still a chance for me to stand up again.”
Jeromy took off his black suit jacket, put on a white coat, took out a document from the
cabinet and handed it to Renee.
“Here is the treatment plan I prepared for you, you can take a look at it.
“If it were someone else, the chances of your legs healing might not be high. But if I help, I can get you to stand up with the help of crutches within three months and walk freely
within six months.”
Renee looked at the information in her hand, which clearly explained what needed to be done at each stage.
There were many professional terms and although she did not understand them, she could see that Jeromy really cared about her.
Especially when she heard that she could stand up within three months, Renee’s eyes instantly turned red.
She used to love dancing so much, but since she became disabled, she could no longer
dance.
“Dr. Gilbert, thank you for giving me hope again.”
Renee’s hope, which had finally risen, was shattered by Jeromy’s next words, “Ms. Jackson, what I said above is subject to a condition. You need to live with me for the next half month so that I can observe your situation at any time.
“You know, you haven’t had any feeling in your legs for several years. It’s definitely going to be difficult to recover quickly. There are many treatments that need to be done every few hours. If I have to wait for you to come here every time, it might not be very convenient.”
