Chapter 59 Maybe not ever
Chapter 59 Maybe not ever
JAXON'S POV:
I frowned and stood up from my seat, as I saw Laura and that guy walk off to the dance floor.
Why was a married woman dancing with the same guy who almost slept with her the last time?
This didn't add up, I pushed the table aside ignoring Evan's protest. I already warned him to fuck off. I didn't want anything to do with her again. Not anymore.
But right now, she was the least of my worries— Laura was. It was either she had been pretending to be married or this sly guy had probably hooked her off again. Didn't I already tell him stay away from her life.
I clenched my fist and pushed past the bodies and was just few feet from them. The lights came back on, Laura wriggled out of his hands and pushed him back, stepping back herself.
I could feel the heat from her body and even hear whispers of what they were saying.
“He, who is he?” Laura was saying and then she snapped back suddenly. So suddenly that we crashed against each other. Maybe it was just the warm feel of her body against mine or just probably the sudden spike of adrenaline that shot straight to my trousers. But something made me bend my head out of sheer impulse and need and my lips sort out hers, forcefully conquering every inch of her mouth. Rolling my tongues against hers. My arms wrapped round her slender waist and I held her in place, against her silent protests.
We kissed, she moaned in to my mouth. Her tongue inching for mine.
I drew back breathless, whitefaced. She looked back at me pale and distressed.
And the next thing, I noticed was her palm connecting with my jaw, the pain shot hard through my chin, stinging my jaw.
I stepped back while rubbing at the sore spot. “I'm sorry.” I muttered slowly, but I wasn't any fucking sorry. damn it. I had always wanted to do that. To kiss her, to hear her moan in to my mouth, to claim her and mark her with my lips and I fucking finally got the one chance.
I wasn't fucking sorry.
She looked back at me with teary and wild eyes. Camera shutters were going on and off behind us. But none of those mattered, she was crying and that made me feel a pang of regret.
“I'm sorry.” I repeated taking a step closer to her. She stepped back, staring at me like a cornered animal. Looking at me with frightened eyes like I was a monster. Like I was fucking monster!
“Stay away from me.” She panicked, her voice shaky with fright. She was drawing back in to the crowd. Cowering from the cameras.
I turned around and addressed the crowd. “Everyone please return back to what were doing, everything is under control here.”
“How dare you.” Someone yelled from the crowd and the next thing a pair of female heels was thrown at me.
More camera flashes. Shit! Couldn't they stop snapping already?
I balled my fist and my eyes landed on the lady who had thrown her heels at me. It was her friend, the one who had put on the black zorro mask. She was visibly trying to break free from Reene and the white man's grip and reach for me.
But this didn't stop her from howling out curses and growing hysterical.
I unclenched my fist and sighed. I guess I really deserve it, I was too impulsive. Too fucking impulsive.
…
Laura's POV:
Hernwa wade through the throng of reporters and onlookers and grabbed my hand.
“Let's go ma, I'll clear the way.” He forged a path through the crowd and dragged me outside. I was still reeling in the effect of what had just happened. Jaxon Fallon kissed me? Where did he come from, why did he kiss me?
I shivered slightly and clambered in to the open car. My heart was racing, too fast. My whole body was terribly trembling.
I put a hand to my head to steady myself.
“Here you go ma’am.” Hermes pushed a bottle of water in to my hands. I unscrewed the cap and toppled the liquid into my throat.
My lips were still bruised from the effect of the kiss, that has been too intensed. I had never been kissed that way before. And it was fucking amazing, sorry. Terribly…. amazing!
I closed my eyes and fell back against the soft leather seat. I was supposed to be mad at him for kissing me, not getting turn on like I was now. It had been a very long time, since I had a man's mouth on mine. Eating me like the way he did.
Shit, Laura!
I hadn't had that leisure in almost six years all thanks to him anyway. I shook my head.
How could the best kiss of my life be from Jaxon Fallon?
I couldn't remember having something more better. But it shouldn't have been from he. I could settle for anyone else, even Williams if I had to, but not him.
The kiss was good, but not the kisser.
I lulled in the seat and try to reminisce on the kiss, his scent was still in my nose.
Shit! What are you thinking about Laura!
Gwen pulled the car door open and slid in, her face ashen and contorted in rage. Suddenly making me feel guilty for loving and wanting to be kissed.
I was supposed to hate him!
“That bastard!” She growled under her breath.
Gwen glanced at me. “Are you okay?”
I nodded.
“I'm sorry I made you a victim again.” She apologized, her voice breaking.
I shook my head. “It wasn't your fault that Jaxon kissed me.”
“I know but still.”
I slid my arms round her neck and pulled her in a half hug. “It's alright.”
I couldn't tell her that I wanted to be victimized again, in that same way and I surprisingly didn't hate myself for feeling that way. For wanting to have a lip on mine, ravaging through the corners of my mouth.
Gwen sniffed. “I hooked you up with Williams, if I hadn't done that, all this wouldn't have happened.”
I shook my head. “You're wrong.”
Jaxon was an impulsive prick if he wanted to lay me on that dancefloor, he would go ahead to do just that. So far as he thought what he was doing was right in his own sense.
And I didn't hate her for hooking me up with Williams tonight, no not one bit. I actually hated myself for craving to be kissed, for nursing this tingling spike of adrenaline and the urge to be kissed made my legs stiffen.
I had just been forcefully kissed against my will, but I wasn't mad about that. No, I was mad that he pulled away. I wanted more, to be touched and kissed and satisfied in a way I had never been in a very long time. I was craving satisfaction in a way Mr. Big or any other auto sex craft could offer.
I wanted a human to touch me, a man that I loved to kiss me. A man that loved me right back.
And all this was his fault, because I wasn't going to get any more kisses this night. Not again. Maybe, not ever.
