Chapter fifteen:Freya! She's dead

Sophie rushed back to her room with her hands tightly gripping her chest together like she was trying to keep it still.

“Why are you being frightened when it was your idea from the start?” Sophie said to herself unknown to her that Tyler was in te room with her.

“And who are you talking to in that way Freya?” Tyler questioned making Sophie even more frightened.

“Alpha, what are you doing in my quarters by this time?” Sophie questioned while silently closing the door.

How much she hated Tyler touching her and now she had no choice but to seem more free with him just to win the bet she made with Catherine who had better chances of winning than her.

“I could sense how nervous you were during breakfast just now despite how fierce your face were, your hands still trembled.” Tyler said moving closer to Sophie and when she is about to respond he stops her again.

“Don’t say anything Freya, I am not calling you a coward….you just remind me of my ex mate, Sophie.” Tyler said taking Sophie aback, she was thought Tyler would never for once feel any remorse for killing her if if he ever really found her good did him in anyway.

Tyler continued to move closer to Sophie till was completely at the edge with her back to the wall and her lips inches away from his.

“Do you miss her?” Sophie asked, out of curiosity if he had missed her.

Tyler looked into Freya's eyes, his gaze filled with curiosity and concern. "Yes, Freya, I do miss her," he admitted softly. "She was my mate, my other half. Losing her was the hardest thing I've ever had to endure."

Freya's heart skipped a beat at his words. She couldn't believe that Tyler was talking about Sophie, the person she had once been. She had hidden her true identity from him, afraid of how he would react if he found out the truth.

"But why couldn't you do anything about it?" Freya asked, her voice filled with feigned innocence.

Tyler sighed, his expression pained. "Because she's gone, Freya. She's dead," he said, his voice filled with sorrow. "I couldn't save her, no matter how much I wanted to. And now, all I have left are memories."

Freya fought to keep her emotions in check, her heart aching for Tyler's loss. She had to continue pretending, to keep up the facade that she was just Freya, a stranger to his past.

"I'm sorry, Tyler," she whispered, her voice filled with false sympathy. "I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for you."

Tyler reached out and gently touched Freya's cheek, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "Thank you, Freya," he murmured. "It means a lot to me that you understand."

In that moment, Freya felt a mix of guilt and relief. Guilt for hiding her true identity from Tyler, and relief that he still carried a piece of Sophie with him. But she knew she had to continue the charade, for her own safety and for the sake of the bet she had made with Catherine.

Without another word, Freya leaned in and pressed her lips against Tyler's, her kiss filled with a mix of longing and deception. As they kissed, she couldn't help but wonder how long she could keep up this act, and what would happen if Tyler ever discovered the truth.

And just when Sophie notice she was slipping off her revenge thought we pulled away from Tyler like she had seen a ghost making Tyler surprised on why she acted that way.

Tyler pulled back, confusion etched on his face. "Freya, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice filled with concern. "Why are you acting so differently all of a sudden?"

Sophie took a step back, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and determination. She couldn't let herself get caught up in her feelings for Tyler. She had a plan, a revenge to carry out, and she couldn't afford to let her emotions get in the way.

"Just leave, Tyler," she said, her voice cold and harsh. "I don't want you here. I don't want anything to do with you."

Tyler's brows furrowed, hurt evident in his eyes. "Freya, what did I do?" he asked, his voice tinged with sadness.

Sophie shook her head, her resolve hardening. "It doesn't matter," she replied, her voice steady. "Just go. Leave me alone."

Tyler stood there for a moment, his gaze locked with Sophie's. He seemed torn, as if he wanted to say something, to fight for their connection. But ultimately, he nodded and turned to leave.

As the door closed behind him, Sophie felt a mix of relief and regret. She had pushed him away, but a part of her couldn't help but wonder if she had made a mistake. But it was too late now. She had made up her mind, and she would see her plan through to the end.

With a heavy heart, Sophie turned away from the door, determined to focus on her revenge. She couldn't let herself be swayed by her feelings for Tyler. She had to stay strong, no matter how much it hurt.

Meanwhile, Catherine kept thinkin
