Chapter 215

Chapter 215

"Didn't expect Alexander to switch sides so quickly, huh?" Victoria looked at this man who had changed his attitude so fast, the disgust in her eyes deepening.

Alexander rubbed his hands together, feeling a bit scared. "Ms. Spencer, my grandfather was talking about us partnering up to open a shop. That studio just finished renovations, so you must still need me."

Victoria took a step forward, her footsteps echoing particularly loudly in the basement.

Alexander instinctively backed up two steps. "Ms. Spencer, what exactly do you want? I'm telling you, this is the Carr Family, not your Spencer Family!"

"I'm here to teach you a lesson on behalf of Grandfather."

Victoria's voice was ice cold, with no room for compromise.

"Then why didn't my grandfather come himself? There's no way my grandfather would punish me. There must be some mistake." Alexander's tone turned pleading. He knew Victoria would actually go through with it—his arm was still aching from before.

Victoria didn't want to waste words on him. She raised her hand and the whip was about to come down.

"Ah! No!" Alexander screamed, turning to run. His movements weren't as fast as the whip.

A bloody mark immediately appeared on his back.

His bulky body fell to the ground, painful howls coming from his mouth. "It hurts like hell! Victoria, you bitch! How dare you hit me! Just wait till I get out, I'll skin you alive! Damn it!"

Victoria let out a cold laugh, raising the whip in her hand again.

Alexander's eyes widened suddenly, his lips trembling. "You want to hit me again? Victoria, you bitch, take a good look at who I am! Damn, how dare you still hit me!"

He roared, spittle flying, the flesh on his face jiggling as he spoke, looking utterly greasy and disgusting.

Victoria picked at her ear. "That's right, you're exactly who I'm hitting."

She walked forward with a cold expression, the whip about to fall again.

Alexander suddenly pulled Hannah out from the corner, using her as a shield in front of himself.

This whip landed on Hannah's arm.

"Ah!" Hannah let out a miserable scream, her eyes looking pitiful, her body trembling. "Don't, don't hit me, Victoria. I'm pregnant. Please don't hit me."

Unlike Alexander, she immediately crawled to Victoria's feet, kowtowing and admitting fault.

The hatred in her eyes was buried deep, almost invisible.

But Victoria saw it crystal clear.

Victoria stopped the whip in her hand. "You want me not to hit you? Then you need to give me a reason. Why shouldn't I hit you?"

Question marks popped up in Hannah's mind, but she didn't dare question Victoria right now. She could only put on a pitiful act.

"I was dragged into this because of him. I haven't done anything wrong to Brian. Victoria, for the sake of our past friendship, please let me go, okay?"

After speaking, she started kowtowing repeatedly.

Blood stains quickly appeared on her forehead.

Victoria didn't stop her or move from her position. She just waited for her to kowtow, silently counting in her mind how long she could keep it up.

Alexander saw that Victoria's attention was all on Hannah. Enduring the pain in his body, he supported himself against the wall and stood up, trying to run outside.

He cursed in his mind—there's no way Grandfather told Victoria to do this!

This bitch was acting on her own!

He would go tell on her. He would make this woman end up in the slums, completely destroy everything Victoria had!

Victoria had already noticed his movements from the corner of her eye. This was just a game of cat and mouse.

If the mouse didn't try to sneak away, it wouldn't be any fun.

Alexander saw the iron door right in front of him, a smile already blooming on his face.

Just a few more steps and he could escape the basement!

In that final second.

A heart-wrenching pain shot through his back, making him collapse to the ground.

Alexander wailed, his eyes unfocused and filled with fear. "Stop, Ms. Spencer, stop hitting me, I really can't take it anymore. Please let me out. As long as you let me out, I'll give you whatever you want."

The 30-year-old man cried with snot and tears everywhere—truly disgusting.

Victoria slowly walked in front of him, using the whip to lift his chin, her eyes showing undisguised revulsion.

"Your crying is really disgusting!"

Alexander froze for a moment, then pulled an even more disgusting and awkward smile. "Then I won't cry. Just let me out. I absolutely won't tell Grandfather. Victoria, I'm begging you!"

Victoria said lightly, "You're begging me?"

Alexander thought Victoria would let him go and immediately nodded with a fawning smile. "Yes, I'm begging you! Please let me go. I promise I won't tell Grandfather. From now on, I'll listen to whatever you say!"

Victoria straightened up and looked down at him. "Is this your attitude when begging someone?"

Alexander lowered his head and clenched his fists.

This was the first time in his life he'd been humiliated like this!

And it was all Victoria's doing!

He kept a smile on his face and, copying Hannah, kowtowed heavily before Victoria.

He looked up from his bow, his eyes full of hope. "Is this okay now? I've already apologized."

Victoria played with the whip in her hand and spoke leisurely, "When did I ever say that if you kowtowed, I'd let you go?"

"You... you can't do this! Damn! Bitch! Ahhhhh!"

The basement continuously echoed with the man's screams of agony.

Brandon and the doctor stood outside. Even from far away, they could hear the horrifying sounds from inside.

The doctor felt somewhat sympathetic. "After all, he's Brian's only grandson. If this continues and something really happens, it won't be good. Brandon, why don't you go in and try to persuade Ms. Spencer?"

Brandon looked completely calm. Hearing those screams actually improved his mood somewhat.

"No need. Ms. Spencer knows what she's doing. He definitely won't die."

The doctor's mouth twitched. "Whether they die or not is one thing, but what if she beats them into some serious condition?"

Brandon glanced at him. "That's why you're here."

The doctor fell silent. He was even starting to regret coming.

The screams from below continued for 20 minutes.

Finally, there was silence inside.

Victoria walked out of the basement. She stretched and returned the whip to Brandon, grumbling a bit.

"Next time, let's use something else. This thing makes your hand hurt after using it for too long."

Brandon took it with a smile. "Sure, I'll definitely mention this to Mr. Carr."

The whip still had blood and flesh on it. The doctor looked at it and nearly fainted.

He quickly grabbed the table beside him to steady himself. "Ms. Spencer, what about those two people?"

Victoria pointed at the basement. "They passed out. I'll let them off for now. I didn't actually beat them to death."

The doctor was shocked by her words. "You mean if they hadn't passed out, you wouldn't have planned to stop?"

Victoria looked equally puzzled. "Of course. If they didn't pass out, why would I stop?"
