Chapter 105:

Chapter 107:
Pythia POV:

I watched as Carten laid on the living room floor while the kids played with him. They were so excited to have another member of the family here. “Pythia, what are we going to do?” Leia asked. “Come up with a plan. We need to watch the shield carefully.” I whispered and she nodded. “I want you, Brandon and Sandy here with us at all times. Jasper, Jenson and them are staying here as well.” I added. “Of course. Sandy and Artemis have been glued together since everything happened.” Leia laughed. I could feel that I was tense. Now that my mothers power source has been severed I know she is angry, and I know she will do anything she can to get at any of our children and that alone scared me to death. I knew that no matter what they would be safe but we needed to put a plan into action. “What are you thinking about?” Tye asked as he sat next to me

I took a deep breath, “Just everything. I worry a lot about all of our kids.” I replied. “They’ll be safe. No one is going to hurt them.” Tye whispered and I smiled. I knew he was right but still. “We need to try to take them out one by one. We can’t let them hit us all at once like they are planning.” I added. The more I thought about it the more I realized how stretched thin we would actually be. “I’ve had the same idea. We know for sure Ambrosia will take on Hervoux in the challenge and we know that they wanted that as a distraction.” Leia said. “Lillith, please call all of our covens in immediately. We have a plan to make.” I said looking at her. She nodded once and disappeared. “Ambrosia, how has your training been going?” I asked. “It has been going good. I am ready though so I will spend much needed time with my kids. This time next week, Hervoux will be no more” Ambrosia replied in a determined voice. “What will I do?” Carten asked and we all turned to look at him. “I figured you would sit this one out, you’ve been through a lot of trauma and still learning everything.” I replied hoping that I didn’t sound mean. “It has been a lot but I can help. I heard someone talk about making potions and bombs.. I could help with that and learn something new.” Carten offered and I smiled. “I will have Stony aid you with the bombs, those are his specialties. You can work with Lillith outside of that. Those two are very knowledgeable. You will learn a lot from them.” I replied. “Does she by chance have anything to help sleep? Or with nightmares?” Carten asked and I sat up. “Are you worried about nightmares?” I ask curiously. “I don’t want to dream of the things I’m slowly remembering. I know I was being used, I just don’t know why.” Carten said and I could see he was getting frustrated.

I couldn’t say that I blame him, “Yes, we have stuff for that. What else are you remembering?” Lilith asked. “Just things I could hear. They’ve been planning a surprise attack. Pamela is not happy about the challenge. The other man wanted to be here early next week but they didn’t speak much around me. I know they wanted to hurt the kids.” Carten replied as he looked at all the children. “No one is hurting our kids.” Ambrosia said and I nodded. “Do you know how old you are?” I asked, realizing that we still had no idea. “I just turned eighteen before Pamela started coming around.” Carten replied. “You’re handling everything fairly well if I must say.” Alley spoke up. “I’m really freaking out on the inside. I still can’t figure out if this is a dream or not. If it is, I hope I never wake up.” Carted replied. “I promise, this is not a dream and, when all of this is over you’ll see a much different side to all of us. We aren’t always running around planning a war.” I laughed. “He can sleep in my room mommy. I’ll watch him” Apollos little voice rang out. “That is very sweet of you, but it is up to him on where he sleeps.” I replied ruffling his hair. “We can all sleep in the play room!” Danny squealed.

I looked at Carten and shrugged my shoulders. “I would like that. Just for a few nights.” Carten whispered. “Alright kiddos, it’s time for showers. Go get cleaned and get what you need for the sleepover.” I announced and watched as they all scurried off. “Why does Artemis seem so close to Sandy?” Carten asked. I couldn’t help but laugh. “Because they are mates.” Ambrosia smiled. “Already? I thought you had to be older for that to happen.” Carten spoke. “Usually yes, but our children are gifted in so many ways.” I said. “I know, I remember hearing about them. They see them as a threat. Eli wants them all gone.” Carten said and I felt a chill down my spine. “So that means Eli has been watching our world.” Stephan deadpanned. “You are right.” Athea announced as she walked into the room. Her eyes set on Carten and she smiled. “How are you my dear?” Athea asked. “Uh, I’m okay. How are you?” Carten replied. I could hear the confusion in his voice.

I cleared my throat, “Carten, this is Athea. She is the moon goddess. And that is Lucinda, her sister.” I said. Cartens eyes went wide and he lowered his head. “Aw, no need for that, don’t hide from me.” Athea whispered, kneeling down in front of him. “You grew up in such a savage way. You are here now and that is all that matters.” Athea said. As she stood up she looked around at each of us. “I did some searching of my own and it does appear that Eli has been watching. He knows the same as myself and Lucinda. The leader of the wolves is the beta for his wolves. He will be hard to stop but I have all the faith in you all. Prepare yourselves and trust your gut feeling.” Athea said and there was a tone in her voice that made me worry but gave me confidence.

I knew what we had to do. It was just a matter of doing it. “As for your nightmares, Carten, I will personally make sure that does not happen, you are so innocent in all of this.” Lucinda spoke, grabbing his attention. “Th-Thank you..” Carten whispered. “We have some work to do but we will be keeping an eye on things. We can’t interfere but you are on the right path. All of you have our love and our support. Spend the next few days with the children, after that we will come to collect them to hide them away.” Athea announced and I felt relief. “Thank you Athea.” Alley said, hugging her. “Get some rest, my queens.” She replied as they both disappeared. “Let’s all sleep in the playroom. If a few days is all that we have I don’t want to miss a moment.” Jackson said.

As we walked up the stairs I could hear the kids giggling and it made my heart happy. We knew that we would not be getting much rest after this and goddess knows we all need it. For now, we will enjoy our night with our children and plan our attack within the next few days.
