Chapter 106:
Chapter 108:
Ambrosia POV:
The last few days have gone by in such a blur, it was nice to not focus on the ways of war and just enjoy family. I remember the first time we had to send our children away and how hard it was but now, we know they’ll be taken care of and won’t realize anything that is going on. We got word out to everyone to come here so that way we can plan what to do with each of our people. Mine would be easy. A challenge is something I handle alone but I was well aware that the other vampires would not sit idle and watch. I couldn’t say I was curious as to what they would be planning. If I had to guess Pamela would take them with her since she doesn’t have a lot of witches on her side. Regardless, we need to be prepared for all outcomes. “Xander, how is the planning with the guardians going along?” I asked. “It’s going well. We’ve coordinated with Pythia and the surrounding areas. No one is getting by us.” Xander replied and I nodded my head.
Pythia and her coven came up with a plan. They were going to meet Pamela head on away from our lands. They will give the illusion that we moved there to be away from the humans and when they come they’ll never expect the attack. “Jackson, what have you guys planned for the wolves?” Xander asked. “It’s been difficult. We haven’t seen them really move around much on the cameras. We don’t know what the plan for them is.” Jackson replied and I could hear the frustration in his voice. “He may have an agenda of his own. Let me see what I can see.” I whispered trying to focus on him. I blinked and when my eyes opened I could see the surroundings. They were no longer overseas it appears. “Scourge, I don't think this is a good idea.” Someone said, As he turned I could see another man, around the same height. “You’ve always been so cautious. We attack when I say we attack.” Scourge snapped. “We have no plan! You think they won’t be ready for anything?” The other man asked. “They won’t be ready for this. They are watching the cameras and I’ve made sure we have always stayed off of them.” Scourge replied.
I tried my best to see exactly where they were but nothing looked familiar. “When do you anticipate us to be there? Or even how to get by the shield that they have in place?” The man asked. “We will be there in four days. Our job is to weaken them at all costs for Pamela. She will hit the day after us. Our job is to take as many out as we possibly can.” Scourge replied and I snapped back out and looked around. “We need to move. Now.” Jackson stating standing to his feet. “When are the kids leaving?” Xander asked. “We are waiting for Athea and Lucinda now.” I replied. The kids were already outside with everyone else. Even though we are used to this, it is still hard for us to let them go. As I walked outside I could see that everyone was surrounding our kids. They parted as we walked by. I kept my head high knowing I would lose some of them. “Mommy! Athea said we are going to have so much fun!” Ari squealed as she ran to me.
I smiled down at her, “I have no doubt about that. All of you be good , okay?” I said looking around at them. “We will. We love going to see the big wolves!” Justia giggled. “Rest your mind queen, we will take care of them.” Athea said as she walked towards me. “I know they will be. Thank you again for keeping them safe.” I replied with a smile. “It is the least we can do.” Athea said. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned to see Pythia and Alley were now standing beside me. We watched as all the children and those who did not want to fight disappeared. “We need to get to work.” Alley said. “The faster we do, the faster they all come back home.” Pythia added and I nodded. “Where do the wolves stand?” I asked. “We will need you to keep track of where they are and we are going to meet them halfway.” Alley replied. “They are traveling separately but I don’t think we should do the same.” Jackson said. “I agree, I could use the practice before my challenge and I’ve heard that Carten has added a little spice to the bombs and potions.” I replied, smiling at Pythia.
She laughed, “He sure has, he really does have a knack for them. He wrote everything down before he left and Stony is making sure it’s followed exactly how he stated.” Pythia replied. We knew Carten would be special and strong in some areas but until this is all over Pythia won’t be able to tell exactly where. “That is great, we know the wolves will be here in four days but what about Pamela?” Alley asked. “I did peak into her but not for very long. She somehow knows when I’m there. She got some witches and all the vampires minus about ten. She left them with Hervoux to travel over here.” I replied. So we will have two groups to take on back to back. I just needed to get Hervoux out of the way so I wouldn’t miss out on anything else. “I have an idea.” I announced looking around.
Jackson looked at me and smiled. He knew me well. “I’m going to snatch Hervoux tomorrow morning and have the challenge tomorrow afternoon.” I spoke. Not one person was shocked by what I said. “Can you do that?” Pythia asked. “Yes, with the threat of the others sneaking up on us I’m left with no choice. Their plan is to tire us so we lose. That is the plan with me also. With Hervoux out of the way I will have a few days to rest before we take on the others.” I replied. It made sense to me at least. “That’s a good idea. Remove him and the ones with him first, then the wolves and then my mother.” Pythia agreed. “Who all is going to go?” Xavier asked. “Our group plus a few guardians. That should be plenty to grab them and come back. Pull everyone in and make sure they are at the arena at noon. I need to prep.” I replied looking around. “Meet here bright and early so we can get this done. I want him dead rather quickly.” I smiled. His time to pay for what he has done has come to head. I wanted all of this over so I could have my kids back and let's be honest, I wanted my revenge and I would make it hurt in every way possible
