My condition

My condition
Sicilia

“My request…..” I muttered, As I heard his words, my lips curled into a sly smile. “I wouldn't want to stress you, how about I tell you when you're done eating your dessert?" I asked.

Alpha Ken raised his brows, "You don't know what to request, do you?”

“Of course I do. It's something huge, and it will definitely blow your mind!” I said with an excited voice. But Ken was right, I didn't know what to ask for. ‘I’m with my murder, how am I supposed to know what to ask?’

Ken arched his brows, a mischievous smirk on his lips. Immediately I sensed how uncomfortably I was feeling, so I bowed.

“Alpha, I beg to take my leave. I promised Lady Priya that I would help her trim the garden,” I lied through my teeth.

You might be wondering why I lied, well, it's quite simple; without lying, I could take my leave, but I knew how much family meant to some people, and I wanted Ken to think that I had a good relationship with his beloved sister, Priya.
What is more painful than getting stabbed in the back by someone you considered family? I mean, Kelvin was the only family I had and he betrayed me, so I know how much family betrayal hurt.

“Fine, whatever,” Ken replied, and the unreadable expression was back on his face. “I will be waiting for your request, but don't keep me waiting for too long, else I will cancel it!”

I faked a bright smile, “Understood, Great Alpha of the northern pack,” I answered and flashed my teeth at him. I turned my back to leave, but I stopped when a question popped in my head. A question I had been trying to get an answer to.

“I don't mean to be rude, but I have a question,” I laid down politely. It wasn't too hard acting polite, because all my life I had been nothing but polite to people worthy of being my enemy.

Ken arched his eyebrows in surprise. “I will take it as your wish,” he deadpanned.

I shook my head quickly, “No, no, it's not my request, it's just a simple question. I wanted to know why you moved to the north and changed your name. Also, where is your girlfriend?” I asked.

Alpha Ken looked confused, and without saying it, it was obvious by the look in his eyes. “What are you talking about?” He muttered, trying to process my question.

At that moment, I saw an innocent man at my front. I tried to convince myself that there was nothing innocent about Ken, but it was harder than you could imagine. This pained me, and I agreed with Dracula. I wasn't ready to face Ken, I thought I had destroyed my soft nature because of the numerous wins I had, but it turned out I was wrong. I still had a soft spot for Ken, I wasn't furious at my murderer.

“Argh!” I growled in frustration and ran out of the room. Ken looked like he wanted to stop me, but he didn't know the right word to use and he ended up stuttering garbage.

'I am not ready! I am not the evil Sicilia I claim to be!” I kept repeating those words as I took to my heels. I bumped into Tessa and Clara on the way, and they tried to slow me down, but I didn't stop until I got to the mansion maze. I wouldn't have stopped if it wasn't because I was lost.

“Where am I?” I asked rhetorically after my second failed attempt at getting out of the maze.

“You might not believe me, but you are lost,” a melodious voice rang in my ears, and I furrowed my brows as my eyes landed on hers. “Just joking,” she said and burst into laughter.

“Lady Priya, what are you doing here?” I was surprised to see her, it was like she had been stalking me.

Priya smiled broadly at me, and her hands caressed my cheeks. I wanted to push her hands off, to tell her to stay away from me because of her murdered brother's sin, but I wasn't able to say it.

“Sicilia, this is my pack, I don't see why I should explain myself to you,” Priya said politely.

“Huh, you're right, it's your pack after all,” I murmured and took a deep breath trying to calm myself down.

I thought fast, and I didn't know when I said, “Lady Priya, I am in. I will earn your brother's trust.”

I said it because I was sick and tired of running away, I wanted to face my fear and kill my nemesis.

'Ken is the reason I died! He's the reason I experienced life in hell, he made a mockery of me! I must destroy him, I must eat his heart! I was reborn for vengeance!’ I assured myself, and my expression turned ruthless, my eyes blazing with fury.

“Okay then. Thank you very much,” Priya squealed excitedly and hugged me.

She thought I was helping her brother and his pack out, but little did she know that I was digging his grave for him.

“It's alright, but I have one condition,” I demanded.

“A condition? What is it? I will give you anything you want,” Priya replied eagerly.

“I want you to elevate my position in the pack,” I said with a smile, but then I remembered something, I still had one request to make. “Don't worry, I have an idea,” I cried out excitedly, and ran quickly, but I ended up running in circles.

Priya looked confused, “What is going on?” She asked suspiciously.

I smiled, I wasn't ready to tell her my master plan. No, I was never going to tell her, she was just a pawn in a game of chess. “I will tell you, but first show me the way out of this maze.” I lied through my teeth.

Priya looked like she didn't trust me, but she sighed. “Fine, follow me.”
