Lady Patricia

Lady Patricia
Sicilia

Delilah's face turned red as she struggled to breathe, her eyes bulging.

“Sicilia, please stop, you will kill her!” Tessa begged me desperately, but it fell on deaf ears. I wanted to teach Delilah to stop bullying others because everyone has feelings.

"Apologize right now, bitch!" I growled, my grip on her hair tightening.

"I-I'm sorry," Delilah stuttered, her voice muffled, she was even crying. Her hair scraps were injured, and it was her fault, she kept struggling with me.

I released her, and she gasped for air. The room fell silent, the slaves exchanging nervous glances.

"Sicilia, calm down." Tessa approached me cautiously.

I turned to face Delilah, my eyes still blazing. "Don't think I'll tolerate disrespect from any of you," I warned.

Delilah's eyes flashed with anger, but she wisely kept quiet. Blood was dripping from her head, and she ran out of the room in shame, promising revenge.

I took a deep breath and rested my back on the iron of my bunk bed. The maids looked like they wanted to say something, but were scared of my reaction. As usual, there was a stupid fool, who didn't know when to keep his mouth shut and mind his business.

“You murder! It seems you've forgotten your place in this pack, you are a weakling, and I am not scared of you!” The young man growled at me aggressively, trying to act bravely.

‘I haven't killed your father yet, man!’ My demon growled in my head.

I didn't bother to look at him or listen to his barking, I hissed and went to the shower to have my bath. I was freaking cold, because of the water Delilah poured on me, and unfortunately, fate was not on my side, and hot water was not available.

“Miss, it's either you bathe with the cold water or you stink for the rest of the day!” The bathroom maids said to me harshly. I didn't need to be told before I knew that they had heard about my little game with Delilah.

They weren't the only ones aware of it, everyone {maids, servants, slaves, guards, healers, pack members} were all aware, and the guards told them about how I killed and injured the soldiers that brought me. I was labeled as a bully, and no one wanted to associate with me.

“Argh! This is nonsense! What sort of person listens to one side of a story before jumping to a conclusion?” I yelled in frustration and hit my hand on the dough I was kneading.

“You! Or have you forgotten that you haven't confronted Kelvin,” a voice in my head whispered to me, but I disregarded it.

Tessa burst into laughter at my complaint, “Oh Sicilia, you have greater things to worry about. If the Alpha finds out what you've done, you will surely be punished!”

I hissed at her words, and for the fifth time that day I looked outside the window. I wasn't able to see Clara clearly, but I did see her companions.

“They are doing the easy work, aren't they? While we work out our ass cooking and serving meals, all they do is trim the grasses and water the flowers. Oh, moon goddess! Why am I not a gardener? Your friends are lucky to be selected,” Tessa moaned, looking at the working gardeners.

Yes, Clara was chosen to work as a gardener, while I was sent to the kitchen to enjoy the smell of burning sticks. I felt like those two scheming mistresses were behind it, but I had no concrete evidence.

“Being a gardener is not easy, Tessa. Also, Clara is pregnant, she should be resting, not working,” I replied with a frown on my face.

Tessa looked surprised, you can say we've gotten a little bit close. She was the only one I had a good relationship with, that is apart from Clara. “You seem to care about this Clara lady, that's strange, you don't look like you have a heart.”

I smirked at her words, “You are right, I don't have a heart, that's why I need to eat another person's own. As for Clara, I don't care about her, I just pity her unborn baby, no one deserves to be born into suffering,” I replied with a slithering voice, hiding my true feelings.

Tessa's eyes widened, intrigued by my response. "You're a complex one, Sicilia," she said, shaking her head.

I shrugged, focusing on the dough. “I hear that a lot.”

Tessa smiled at me broadly. “You should because you are!”

As we continued working, the kitchen staff cast wary glances my way. Their fear was palpable, and I reveled in it. No one dared to mess with me now.
….

A Few Hours Later:

As I was cleaning the kitchen, my belly rumbled loudly, and I held the urge to steal some cupcakes.

'There are over a thousand cupcakes, no one will notice if I take just one.' I assured myself. Tessa and a few maids had gone to serve the Alpha his breakfast, and I was alone in the kitchen.

I reached for a cupcake, unable to resist the tempting aroma of the freshly baked treats. As I was about to take a bite, a gasp from behind startled me.

Crystal, a fellow kitchen maid, stood there, her eyes wide with shock. "Sicilia, what are you doing?" she exclaimed, her voice a mixture of surprise and disapproval.

I sighed softly, and eat the cupcake, licking my fingers meticulously. “Hey, Crystal, do you care for some?” I asked pointing at the cakes. If I didn't act unbothered, I knew that Crystal would make it a big deal.

Crystal's expression hardened, and without uttering another word, she swiftly turned on her heel, determined to report me to the head maid. But I gently grabbed her by the collar to slow down her pace, unfortunately, in the process of struggling, her hand hit the tray of cupcakes, and it fell to the floor.

“What is going on here?” A middle aged woman asked with a stern voice, her eyes fixed on the floor. She had a strange aura, one that could make a mere wolf shiver in fear.

“Lady Patricia,” Crystal eyes widened, and she quickly bowed her head.

“Patricia? Sounds familiar,” I muttered, wondering where I heard the name.
