Chapter 58 DO WORSE!

Chapter 58 DO WORSE!
THIRD PERSON POV

Giselle hurled the vase to the ground, the sound shattering through the room as her lips twitched upward in pure rage.

“How dare that bitch post my comments?” she screamed.

No one responded. Everyone simply stared at her.

Even Carter said nothing. His gaze was fixed on Henry:who, in turn, was staring straight at Giselle. That alone was enough to make Carter’s blood boil.

The more Carter thought about it, the more a sick idea crept into his head.

What if Giselle was cheating on him? Was she sleeping with Henry behind his back?

But then she snatched her phone just as it rang.

“Hello,” she snapped, glaring at the air.

“My, your voice sounds harsher than usual,” a voice teased. “Is your career about to crash?”

Giselle burst into hysterical laughter. She recognized that voice instantly.

Freya.

“You bitch,” Giselle yelled. “Did you do this?”
Only Freya’s laughter echoed through the phone.

“Who knows?” she replied mockingly, smacking her lips.

“I will find y—”

The call cut off.

Giselle froze, staring down at her phone, she hung up on her. Then a slow smile tugged at her lips.

She started laughing, but it was wrong. Twisted. Fueled by anger and hatred. Her smile vanished instantly as the door swung open.

Nelly walked in, her heels clicking the ground. Dressed in a low-cut dress like she owned the place. Her makeup was even done professionally! In this critical moment?

“Hey, you,” Giselle shouted, storming toward her and grabbing her collar harshly. “What did you do?” she yelled again.

Nelly arched a brow. That sadistic smile curled her lips, then softened deliberately.

“Oh? What did I do?” she asked calmly, flicking her hair behind her ear. “So funny.”

“How dare you!” Giselle screamed, lifting her hand to slap her but Carter caught her wrist instantly. “Let go!” Giselle yelled.

A sneer curled Carter’s lips. “Stop acting like a high schooler. What if she actually has something recorded? You need this case to die down. Remember?”

A brittle smile crossed Giselle’s lips. She shoved his hand away and ran her fingers through her hair violently.

“Ahhh—that bitch!” she screamed, turning her glare back to Nelly, who now sat calmly, like a goddess watching chaos unfold.

“Did you do it?” Giselle demanded again which made Nelly’s lips twitched. Her eyes gleamed with mockery and hatred.

“Do what?” she asked, her tone laced with a sneer.

“You did this, didn’t you?” Giselle pressed. Nelly laughed and turned to Henry.

“Now I’m getting accused after being the victim?”

“Victim?” Giselle scoffed, sadistic laughter spilling from her lips.

“Can you hear her?”

“Yes,” Nelly snapped suddenly. “I was the one slapped and belittled, not you!”

Giselle froze, staring at her in shock.
She slowly licked her teeth and stepped closer.

“Say that again. You were no victim. Everyone knows you bully people. Stop acting like a fucking angel, it’s disgusting.”

Nelly inhaled sharply, her heart pounding.

“And?” Nelly shot back. “Are you any saint? You killed Henry’s head officer, didn’t you?”

Giselle laughed coldly.

“Murderer?” She turned to stare at all of them. “You’re all murderers too.” She pointed and the room went tense.

“Stop it, Giselle,” Henry finally spoke. He had been watching everything unfold silently, but now it was too much.

“Calm down,” he said gently, stepping closer and touching her back.

Carter shoved his hand away instantly.

“What are you doing?” Carter snapped. “Hands off.”

He pulled Giselle into a possessive hug from behind.

“Touch my fiancée again and you’ll regret it.”
Henry backed away.

Giselle pressed her lips into a thin line, her chest rising as Carter held her tightly. Her eyes never left Nelly.

That bitch had a hand in this. She was sure of it. There was no way Aaron would do something like this. Besides, there were no cameras on the rooftop.

She remembered her conversation with Aaron.

(FLASHBACK — 24 HOURS AGO)

“Hi,” Giselle said softly, sitting across from him. Her gaze lingered on Aaron, his hair, his nose. Damn. Who knew the nerd would grow up this clean… this sexy?

“Sorry for the abrupt meeting,” she added. Aaron hummed, still studying the menu.

The waiter approached. “What can I get you?”

“Coffee. No milk, no sugar,” Aaron said.

“And for you?” the waiter asked.

“Coffee too but with milk and sugar. And vanilla milk cake,” Giselle replied.

“So,” Aaron said once the waiter left, “what’s the big news? Why dinner all of a sudden?”

“It’s just two old classmates catching up,” she said, fluttering her lashes.

Aaron smiled, forced, yet polite. “Your smile is beautiful.”

“So is yours,” she giggled.

“The party was nice,” she continued. “If there are other events, you can tag me along. Put in a good word for me.” Aaron nodded as the waiter returned with their order.

“I’ve changed,” Giselle said suddenly.

Aaron froze and slowly lifted his gaze. “Hm?” he murmured, sipping his coffee.

"Do you still visit her grave?" He asked and Giselle tensed.

"Yes" she muttered but in reluctance, the last years she did all she did was mock Celina and Ruby in how she was dead and how her (Giselle) was thriving and well.

Aaron saw through the line, clenching his cup tightly, yet Giselle didn't notice.

“Were there cameras at the party?” she asked casually diverting the question. “Reporters? Flashing lights?”

“There are no cameras,” Aaron said firmly. “I value privacy. Nothing gets recorded there.”
Giselle’s eyes darkened.

“So if there was an assault… there’d be no footage?” she asked.

Aaron stared at her. “Unless someone filmed it themselves… or the victim did.” He paused. “You weren’t assaulted, were you?”

She laughed it off. “Of course not.”

“If anything like that ever happens,” Aaron said, “you can talk to me.”

She smiled. How thoughtful of him!
(END OF FLASHBACK)

PRESENT
Giselle’s gaze darkened as Nelly picked up her phone and began typing.

Her own phone chimed instantly. "You murderer." The message was from the same girl that has sent her reply to the world. Her grip tightened. She turned slowly toward Nelly.

“How dare you?” Giselle snapped, breaking free from Carter’s hold and slapping Nelly hard across the face.

Nelly gasped.

Giselle snatched her phone. “So it was you,” she snarled, scrolling through the messages as a twisted smile curled her lips.

“Give it back!” Nelly screamed, glaring daggers at her.

“Or I’ll do worse.”
