Chapter 64 Chapter 64
The next morning came with bright sunlight. Birds sang on the trees outside the mansion, and the whole place felt different — lighter, warmer, peaceful.
Adrian woke up early that day. He stood in front of the mirror, smiling like a boy. He couldn’t stop thinking about Savannah’s words from last night. She had said yes. He still couldn’t believe it.
He looked at his reflection and laughed quietly. “She said yes,” he whispered, still smiling wide.
He dressed up quickly, humming softly as he buttoned his shirt. His heart was full. He walked down the stairs, and the maids who were cleaning the sitting room noticed something strange — their boss was smiling.
“Good morning, sir,” they all greeted at once.
Adrian smiled back. “Good morning, everyone.”
They looked at each other in surprise. He was always calm and quiet, but today he looked so happy, like a man who had just received the best news in the world.
Brian came out from the dining room with a file in his hand. “Good morning, sir,” he greeted.
Adrian turned to him, still smiling. “Brian, come here.”
Brian walked closer, looking a bit confused. “Sir, is everything alright?”
Adrian laughed lightly. “Everything is more than alright. I have something to tell you.”
Brian raised a brow. “What is it?”
Adrian sat down on the sofa and looked at him seriously, but his smile didn’t fade. “Savannah said yes.”
Brian blinked. “Yes? Yes to what?”
Adrian grinned. “She said she will be my wife.”
Brian froze for a moment, staring at his boss. “Wait, are you serious?”
Adrian nodded. “Yes, Brian. I’m serious. Last night, she accepted to be my wife.”
Brian’s eyes widened, and then he broke into a big smile. “Wow! That’s amazing, sir! Finally!”
Adrian laughed again, the kind of laugh he hadn’t made in a long time. “I can’t explain how happy I am. It feels like I’m dreaming.”
Brian smiled. “She deserves you, sir. You’ve done a lot for her. I’m really happy for both of you.”
Adrian nodded, still smiling. “Thank you, Brian. I want today to be a good day for everyone. Call all the maids, tell them to come here.”
Brian nodded and left quickly. A few minutes later, the maids all gathered in the sitting room, whispering among themselves, wondering what was going on.
Adrian stood up and faced them. “I just want to thank all of you for your hard work. You’ve been doing well since Savannah came here. I’ve seen how you care for her and how clean you keep the house.”
They all bowed slightly. “Thank you, sir.”
Adrian continued, “From today, everyone’s salary is going up. You all deserve it.”
For a few seconds, there was silence — then the maids gasped loudly. One of them even covered her mouth in shock.
“Sir? You mean it?” one of them asked in disbelief.
Adrian smiled. “Yes, I mean it. You all are part of my family now. Keep up the good work.”
The maids started clapping and thanking him all at once. “Thank you, sir! God bless you, sir!”
Adrian nodded happily. “Alright, alright, calm down. Go back to your duties and tell the chef to make something nice for lunch today. We’ll all eat together.”
They all bowed again and rushed out with big smiles on their faces, still talking about how kind their boss was.
Brian shook his head, smiling. “Sir, I haven’t seen you this happy in years.”
Adrian laughed softly. “It’s because I haven’t felt this happy in years, Brian. Savannah brought light into my life. I don’t know how to explain it, but she makes me want to be a better man.”
Brian nodded slowly. “That’s what love does, sir.”
Adrian looked out the window with a soft smile. “I just want her to be happy. That’s all I care about.”
A moment later, Savannah walked slowly into the living room, her hand resting on her belly. She was wearing one of the new gowns Adrian had bought for her. Her hair was tied up neatly, and her face looked fresh and calm.
The moment Adrian saw her, his smile grew even wider. “Good morning, my lady,” he said softly.
Savannah blushed a little. “Good morning, Adrian. You look very happy today.”
He chuckled. “And you look beautiful as always.”
She smiled shyly. “The maids told me you increased their salary. That’s so kind of you.”
Adrian shrugged. “They deserve it. They’ve been good to you, and that makes me happy.”
Savannah looked down, touched by his words. “You have a good heart, Adrian. Thank you for everything.”
He shook his head. “Don’t thank me. You deserve all of it, Savannah. You and the baby are my joy now.”
Her heart melted at those words. She looked at him, her eyes soft and full of emotion.
Adrian smiled again. “Come, let’s eat breakfast together.”
They walked to the dining room. The chef and maids had already set the table with fresh bread, fruits, and tea.
The maids were all smiling as they served them, whispering quietly to each other. They could see the love between their boss and the lady.
Savannah laughed a few times during breakfast. Adrian couldn’t stop looking at her — the way she smiled, the way she talked, the way she held her belly gently every time the baby kicked.
For the first time in a long while, the mansion felt like a home. Everyone could feel it. The boss was in love, and the house was full of joy.
Later in the day, Adrian stood by the balcony, looking at the garden below. He could see Savannah walking slowly with one of the maids, smiling as she talked.
Brian joined him quietly. “Sir, she looks very happy.”
Adrian nodded with a calm smile. “Yes, she does. And that’s all I ever wanted.”
The sun was bright, the air soft, and everything felt perfect.
Adrian didn’t know what tomorrow would bring, but that day — that peaceful, happy day — he knew he had everything he ever needed.
