Chapter 106 Chapter 106
The morning after the wedding, Savannah woke up to the soft sound of waves crashing against the shore. She turned her head slowly and saw Adrian beside her, still asleep, his hand resting gently on hers.
For a moment, she just smiled, watching him. The sun streamed through the big glass windows, lighting up the whole room. It was quiet, peaceful — like a dream she never wanted to wake up from.
Adrian opened his eyes slowly and smiled when he saw her. “Good morning, my wife,” he said in a soft voice.
Savannah blushed. “Good morning, my husband.”
He sat up and pulled her close, kissing her forehead. “How did you sleep?”
She smiled. “Like a baby. This place is so peaceful.”
Adrian looked around proudly. “I’m glad you like it. I wanted somewhere quiet, far from the noise of the city — just you and me.”
The view outside was breathtaking. The ocean stretched endlessly, and the wind carried the smell of fresh sea salt. Their honeymoon suite was a big beach house built on white sand, with flowers around and a private pool behind.
Savannah stood by the window, staring at the sea. “It’s so beautiful,” she whispered.
Adrian came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. “Not as beautiful as you,” he said softly.
She turned around and hit his chest playfully. “You always know what to say.”
He laughed and kissed her hand. “Only the truth.”
They had breakfast together on the balcony — pancakes, fruits, and juice. Adrian kept watching her eat, smiling like a child who just got his favorite toy. Savannah laughed and told him to stop staring, but he didn’t care.
“You know,” he said, “I’ve waited so long for this moment. To see you happy, relaxed, without worry.”
Savannah looked down shyly. “I still can’t believe I’m your wife. Sometimes I feel like I’ll wake up and realize it’s all a dream.”
He reached across the table and held her hand. “Then I’ll keep reminding you every day that it’s real.”
After breakfast, they walked along the beach. The sand was warm under their feet. Savannah held her gown up a little as the waves touched her toes. Adrian picked up a seashell and placed it in her hand.
“Keep it,” he said. “So you’ll remember this day.”
She smiled and nodded. “I’ll keep it forever.”
They spent the whole afternoon together — swimming, laughing, and taking pictures. Adrian couldn’t stop teasing her about how cute she looked when the water splashed her face.
As the sun began to set, they sat together by the beach, watching the orange sky. Savannah leaned her head on his shoulder, feeling safe and loved.
“Adrian,” she said quietly, “thank you for everything.”
He turned to her. “For what?”
“For loving me even when I didn’t love myself. For being patient with me. For giving me a family.”
He smiled and wiped the small tear that escaped her eye. “You deserve all of it, Savannah. You and Liam mean the world to me. I’ll never stop protecting you.”
She smiled and placed her hand on his cheek. “You already do.”
That night, they had dinner under the stars. The hotel staff had prepared a table on the beach with candles and soft music playing. Adrian wore a white shirt, and Savannah wore a simple gown that made her glow.
They talked for a long time — about Liam, about their plans, about everything they’ve been through.
“I still remember the first time I saw you,” Adrian said with a soft laugh. “You were so quiet and serious. I thought you didn’t even like me.”
Savannah laughed too. “I didn’t. You were bossy and proud.”
He raised an eyebrow. “And now?”
“Now you’re still bossy,” she said teasingly, “but you’re my bossy husband.”
Adrian laughed loudly and kissed her hand. “That’s the best promotion I’ve ever had.”
They both laughed until tears rolled down their cheeks. The night was filled with joy, peace, and love.
When they finally went back to their room, Savannah stood by the window again, watching the moonlight on the water. Adrian came behind her and hugged her gently.
“I wish this moment could last forever,” she whispered.
“It will,” he said, kissing her hair. “As long as I’m alive, you’ll never be alone again.”
She smiled and turned to face him. “I love you, Adrian.”
He smiled back, pulling her close. “I love you too, Mrs. Blake.”
Outside, the waves continued to dance under the moonlight — soft, endless, and peaceful — just like their love.
