Chapter 104 Chapter 104
The whole mansion was bright and full of life. Everyone was busy and happy. The maids moved around with smiles on their faces, carrying decorations, flowers, and boxes.
Aunty Lisa was in charge of everything. Her loud voice could be heard from one end of the house to the other.
“No, no, no! Those flowers go to the balcony, not here!” she shouted playfully, waving her hand as the maids laughed. “We want the place to look like heaven, not a playground!”
Adrian came down the stairs, smiling when he saw her. “Aunty Lisa, I think you’re the real boss here.”
She looked up at him and grinned. “Of course I am. This is my nephew’s wedding, and everything must be perfect.”
Adrian laughed. “Savannah will be shy when she sees all this.”
“Let her be shy,” Aunty Lisa said proudly. “A bride should glow on her big day. I already told the makeup artist to come early. We can’t waste time.”
Adrian shook his head, amused. “You’ve turned this house upside down, Aunty.”
Lisa laughed loudly. “Good! That’s how you know something big is happening!”
Just then, Savannah walked in, wearing a simple white gown that made her look more beautiful than ever. Her hair was tied in a soft bun, and her eyes sparkled when she saw Adrian.
“Good morning,” she said softly.
Adrian stared at her like he was seeing her for the first time. “You look beautiful,” he said quietly.
Savannah blushed and smiled. “Thank you.”
Aunty Lisa clapped her hands dramatically. “Ah, look at this beauty! My goodness, Adrian, you better behave yourself o!”
The maids laughed while Savannah covered her face shyly. “Aunty please,” she said, smiling.
Lisa laughed harder. “I’m just saying the truth! This girl is glowing like an angel.”
Adrian walked over to Savannah and held her hand gently. “Are you ready for the dress fitting later?”
Savannah nodded. “Yes, the designer said she’ll be here by noon.”
“Good,” Adrian said. “I already told them to bring different styles. You can pick anything you like.”
Savannah smiled softly. “You didn’t have to do all that.”
He looked at her with love. “I want everything to be perfect for you.”
Aunty Lisa sighed dramatically. “Ah! This kind of love, God please give me one like this,” she said, making everyone laugh again.
The maids went back to work, fixing ribbons and hanging white curtains. The air smelled of fresh flowers and candles.
Savannah sat on the couch, holding baby Liam in her arms. He was dressed in a tiny blue outfit and kept playing with her necklace.
Aunty Lisa walked over and touched Liam’s cheek. “My handsome boy, you’ll be the youngest best man in history,” she said proudly.
Savannah laughed. “He’ll just sleep through everything.”
“Then let him sleep with style,” Lisa replied, kissing the baby’s forehead.
Adrian sat beside Savannah, resting his hand on her knee. “I still can’t believe we’re getting married soon,” he said quietly.
Savannah looked at him. “Me too. It feels like a dream.”
Adrian smiled. “It’s real, Savannah. You’re my dream come true.”
Her heart melted at his words. She leaned her head on his shoulder and whispered, “You make me so happy, Adrian.”
Aunty Lisa saw them and clapped again. “Ehn! You two should stop making me jealous in my old age!” she teased.
Savannah laughed, shaking her head. “Aunty Lisa, you’ll never change.”
“Why should I?” Lisa replied proudly. “If I don’t talk, who will?”
The house stayed busy all day. The maids polished the floors, arranged chairs, and brought in boxes of decorations. The chef and his team were preparing special dishes in the kitchen — the smell of roasted chicken and fresh bread filled the air.
Savannah later stood by the big window, looking out at the garden where the wedding would take place. The flowers were arranged beautifully — white roses, lilies, and light pink petals scattered on the ground.
Adrian joined her quietly. “Do you like it?”
She turned and smiled. “It’s perfect. Everything looks like a fairy tale.”
Adrian looked at her lovingly. “You deserve it, Savannah. After everything you went through, you deserve happiness.”
Her eyes grew soft. “I never thought I’d have all this again. A home, peace, love…”
Adrian touched her cheek gently. “You gave me the same things too. You changed my life.”
They stood there in silence for a moment, feeling the peace of the afternoon.
Later, Aunty Lisa came rushing in again. “Savannah! Come and see your dress o! It’s finally here!”
Savannah gasped and followed her quickly, leaving Adrian behind with a smile.
Inside the room, three maids opened the big white box carefully. When they lifted the dress, everyone stopped talking.
It was beautiful — a soft white gown with tiny crystals that sparkled under the light. The sleeves were short and the veil long.
Savannah covered her mouth, tears filling her eyes. “It’s so beautiful.”
Aunty Lisa nodded proudly. “I told the designer to make something fit for a queen.”
Savannah touched the gown softly. “Thank you, Aunty. You’ve done so much for me.”
Lisa smiled and hugged her. “You’re my daughter now. Don’t thank me.”
Savannah hugged her back, feeling emotional. “You’ve always made me feel like part of this family.”
Lisa smiled again. “That’s because you are, my dear. Tomorrow, the whole world will know that Adrian and Savannah belong together.”
Outside the room, Adrian stood at the door quietly, watching the moment. His eyes softened. Seeing Savannah happy made his heart full.
He whispered to himself, “Soon, she’ll be my wife. My forever.”
The rest of the day passed with laughter and joy. The maids sang while decorating, Aunty Lisa gave endless instructions, and Savannah couldn’t stop smiling.
When night finally came, Savannah stood by the balcony, looking at the stars. Adrian came behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
“Can’t sleep?” he asked gently.
She shook her head. “I’m just thinking.”
“About what?”
She smiled softly. “About tomorrow. About us. I’m happy, Adrian. I never thought I’d find love again, but you showed me what real love feels like.”
Adrian kissed her hair. “You’re my blessing, Savannah. Tomorrow will be the start of our forever.”
She leaned against him, smiling as the cool breeze brushed her skin. “Forever sounds perfect.”
Adrian held her tighter, whispering, “I’ll make sure nothing ever takes our peace away again.”
Savannah closed her eyes, feeling his warmth. “I believe you,” she said softly.
That night, both of them went to bed with joy in their hearts. Tomorrow was the beginning of a new chapter — the day Adrian and Savannah would finally become husband and wife.
