Chapter 103 Chapter 103
The morning sun poured softly into the mansion, painting the room with golden light.
Adrian sat on the couch, holding baby Liam in his arms. The tiny boy had his father’s eyes and his mother’s gentle lips. He looked so peaceful, wrapped in a white blanket.
Savannah walked out of the bedroom, her hair loose and shining, wearing a simple light blue dress. She stopped when she saw Adrian trying to make Liam smile. A warm smile spread across her face.
“You’re already spoiling him,” she said playfully.
Adrian looked up at her and grinned. “Of course. Look at him, Savannah — he’s perfect.”
Savannah walked closer and sat beside him. “That’s because he looks like you.”
Adrian chuckled. “Maybe a little. But he has your calmness. Look at how he just stares at me like he understands everything.”
Savannah laughed softly. “He’s just wondering why his daddy talks so much.”
Adrian gave her a look. “You think so?”
She nodded, still smiling. “Yes. But I love hearing you talk to him.”
He watched her as she leaned forward to kiss Liam’s forehead. “You’re such a good mother, Savannah.”
She smiled shyly. “I’m just learning. But I love it already.”
Adrian leaned back, his heart full. “You make it look easy.”
Savannah looked at him with soft eyes. “Because you’re here. You make everything easier.”
He smiled and reached out to hold her hand. “That’s all I ever wanted. To be here, with you and our son.”
Liam made a small sound, and Savannah quickly took him from Adrian’s arms. “He must be hungry again,” she said gently.
Adrian stood and watched her as she fed Liam, her face full of care and love. Every movement she made was soft and natural. It amazed him how much she had changed in just a few months — from the shy woman who barely smiled, to a strong mother full of peace.
When Liam was done, Savannah placed him gently in the small cradle beside the couch. The baby soon fell asleep again, breathing quietly.
Adrian came close and hugged her from behind. “You’ve done so well, Savannah,” he whispered against her ear.
She smiled. “You always say that.”
“Because it’s true,” he said softly. “You’ve been strong since the first day I met you. You never gave up, even when life was hard.”
Savannah turned in his arms and looked up at him. “I had reasons to keep going. You were one of them.”
Adrian kissed her forehead gently. “And now you both are my reason for everything.”
They stood like that for a while, holding each other and listening to Liam’s tiny breaths. It was a perfect moment — quiet and full of love.
After some time, Savannah pulled away slowly. “I made breakfast earlier,” she said softly. “Before you woke up.”
Adrian smiled. “You did?”
She nodded. “Yes. Come, let’s eat before it gets cold.”
He followed her to the dining area. The table was neatly set with pancakes, scrambled eggs, and fresh orange juice. Adrian was surprised.
“You made all this?” he asked.
Savannah laughed lightly. “Yes. It’s just breakfast.”
“Just breakfast?” Adrian said in mock disbelief. “It looks like a feast.”
She laughed again and sat down. “Then eat before it gets cold.”
He took a bite and sighed happily. “You’re getting too good at this. Soon the chef will lose his job.”
Savannah smiled. “You’re just saying that.”
“No,” Adrian said seriously. “I mean it.”
They both laughed, enjoying the quiet morning. Savannah’s laughter filled the room, and Adrian couldn’t stop smiling. He felt lucky — blessed, even.
After a few minutes, she spoke softly. “Do you ever think about how far we’ve come?”
Adrian looked at her. “Every single day.”
She smiled. “I still remember the day I met you. I didn’t know that one day we’d be here, with a baby.”
He reached across the table and touched her hand. “I knew from that day that you were special. I just didn’t know how much you’d change my life.”
Her eyes softened. “And you changed mine too.”
After breakfast, Savannah stood to clear the table, but Adrian quickly got up. “No, leave it. The maids will handle it.”
Savannah shook her head. “I just want to do something small. I feel lazy sitting all day.”
Adrian smiled and walked to her side. “Fine, but I’ll help.”
Savannah giggled. “You? Help with dishes?”
“Of course,” he said proudly. “I’m a man of many skills.”
She laughed. “Let’s see about that.”
They both washed together, talking and laughing as they worked. At one point, Adrian flicked a bit of water on her. She gasped and splashed him back.
“Adrian!” she scolded playfully.
He grinned. “What? You looked too serious.”
Savannah laughed again, shaking her head. “You’re impossible.”
When they finished, Adrian dried his hands and came closer to her. “I love this life, Savannah,” he said softly. “Waking up to you and Liam, hearing your laughter… it feels like home.”
Savannah smiled, her eyes shining with love. “That’s because it is home.”
He bent down and kissed her lips gently. “I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you too,” she replied softly.
Just then, Liam made a tiny cry from his cradle. Savannah quickly went to him, picking him up and rocking him gently.
Adrian stood beside her, smiling. “He already knows how to get attention.”
Savannah laughed. “He’s your son, what did you expect?”
Adrian placed a hand on Liam’s tiny head. “He’s going to grow up surrounded by love. I’ll make sure of that.”
Savannah looked at him and smiled warmly. “I know you will.”
They both stood there, watching their baby with quiet joy.
Adrian spoke softly. “You know, I was thinking we should have a small dinner soon. Just to celebrate Liam and everything we’ve been through.”
Savannah looked at him in surprise. “That sounds lovely.”
He smiled. “Good. I’ll tell the maids to prepare something special. Maybe Aunty Lisa can join us too.”
Savannah chuckled. “She’ll talk all night if she comes.”
Adrian laughed. “Exactly. That’s what makes her fun.”
The room fell silent again as they watched their baby fall back to sleep.
Adrian wrapped his arm around Savannah. “You know, I used to think I had everything — money, cars, success. But I was wrong.”
Savannah looked up at him. “What do you mean?”
He smiled softly. “None of that meant anything until you and Liam came into my life. Now I feel complete.”
Savannah’s eyes glistened. “You make me want to cry again.”
Adrian wiped a small tear from her cheek. “No more tears, okay? Only smiles from now on.”
Savannah smiled and nodded. “Promise.”
He kissed her forehead, holding her close once more.
Outside, the sun rose higher, spreading warmth through the house. The maids worked quietly, the air full of peace. Inside, Adrian, Savannah, and little Liam shared a moment that felt like forever — full of love, laughter, and calm after all the storms.
It was a new beginning for all of them — a morning they would never forget.
