224: How Could It Be?!

**Alasia's POV:**

How could it be?! I do not understand how it could be him, even after all this time we have spent apart. How was he able to turn into a wolf at such a young age? That part did not make any sense to me. I turned to look at my mate, Rameric Caine, as he was not looking at me, but he was looking over at my brother's wolf flying there on the floor.

I turned to look back at my brother, and that is when I said his name aloud, "Oh, Brazen." To my surprise, the wolf actually lifted his head up off the floor as he was lying on his forepaws.

"He can hear you, your brother, I mean," Rameric said as he took a few steps closer to where he was lying.

I turned to look at Rameric when I was about to ask him, but Rameric, knowing what I was going to say, answered me before I could get the words out. "As I have said it before, you have a very rare and very powerful bloodline. He has been around our kind more than you have, and on top of that, he has been training."

"Training?" I asked, a bit confused. "Do you mean the day you had those men take him from me, they were training him from that point?"

Then, I suddenly became fearful and was about to get upset, but before I knew it, that feeling was taken away from me, and I turned to look at my mate. When I looked at his eyes, they were closed. He even lowered his head. I was instantly saddened to see my mate so sad upon him taking those feelings from me and then got sad that I made him upset.

"That is not what I want you to feel right now," Rameric said in a soft tone that only I could hear him. "It's not that I wanted to take him away from you. I knew that one day, he would need to learn how to fight and would be coming to the age of shifting. He would need to know how to manage those feelings and not tear himself apart. For a wolf to turn before it's time, it could harm their bond and in that, what's worse, way beyond the ability to heal itself."

I turned back to look at my brother's wolf, who was now sitting up with his head hung low to the floor. That is when I noticed that there was blood dripping from his shoulder. "He's injured!" I shouted.

The men who were standing there next to him walked up and looked at the wound as I turned to look at Rameric, who was waiting for them to speak. They did not say anything, but that is when I heard Rameric within my head say, 'It is not life-threatening.'

"How do you even know that!?" I said, turning to look back at him before looking back at my mate.

"I know as my men told me," Rameric said, closing his eyes once more and looking down again.

I had to find out why my mate was so upset. I closed my eyes and reached deep inside myself. I took in a slow, deep breath and could start to feel the connection I had to my wolf, Amora. I knew she had a special connection to Rager. One that I would never fully understand. So I had to ask her, from deep inside myself, to find out why he was so sad. After a moment, I could start to feel the pain in his chest, the feeling that he was trying to keep from me.

'*Why did you do that*?' I heard him ask in my head.

When I opened my eyes, he was looking at me, pleading to know why I did that. '*I will say to you what you have said to me. You are my mate and one that I am not bonded to. Did you think you could keep things from me like I have tried to do to you*?'

I then turned to look at my brother's wolf before turning to look back at Rameric when I said, "You will not let me keep things from you, so you are not allowed to keep things from me either."

"Very well, my Luna," Rameric said, taking the last few steps even closer to Brazen.

My brother's wolf did not rise but stayed in a seated position when Rameric lowered himself to hovering on one knee, still holding me delicately in his arm as he moved about. When I felt this pull in my chest, tears formed in the eyes of my brother's wolf as well.

"I am so sorry, Brazen," I said, tears swelling to the brim in my eyes as they threatened to fall freely.

At that point, the wolf did get up and started to come closer to me. The men standing next to him attempted to stop him when Rameric gave them a look to stay in their place. They did as he commanded, I guess. That's when the wolf came closer and started to lick my eyes.

I laughed lightly as the wolf was still whimpering slightly. With my free hand, I reached out and tried to pet his head. However, I felt a sharp pain in my wrist, and I looked to see the wounds there were still pretty fresh. I forced past the pain and still pet his head and noticed that the pain lightened. I smiled lightly, knowing that Rameric was helping me manage.

"Bryce," Rameric called out to one of the men standing there by my brother's wolf. He took a step closer before Rameric turned to look at the other man standing there. "Gideon, did you go over what happens in training when a transformation is done too early?"

"Yes, my Alpha Caine," they both answered at the exact same time.

"Very good," Rameric said, looking at my brother's wolf. Then he looked up at one of them and asked, "Did you discover the name of his wolf during the times of training?"

"Yes, my Alpha Caine," Gideon spoke up as he looked over at Bryce. When he looked back at me, he hesitated before he looked at my mate. "We have discovered the name to be Blaze, my Alpha Caine."

"Blaze?" I asked out loud, and to my surprise, the wolf perked his ears right up and stopped whimpering entirely. "Well, then, Blaze," I said, calling out to the wolf directly. "It is very nice to meet you for the very first time."

My brother's wolf reached out his neck and started to lick my face lightly once more. I could tell that this time, it was all my little brother's doing. That is not something I would put past him in this instance, knowing Brazen. Despite the pain in my wrist, I forced myself to pet his head once more. My mate did make sure that when I started to feel pain, to remove it to keep it from me. That was going to take some getting used to.
