Chapter 268: I only want him
Chapter 268: I only want him
Brad unhurtiedly followed his brother to the study room. Despite all that, his shoulders didn't relax at all. Aaron was really worried about him, but there was nothing he could do about it. He could only watch with concern as the man he loved walked away. His heart clenched at the possibility that was in his mind. Could it be that Brad's brother really didn't like and approve of him as he thought? He really loved Brad, but that didn't mean he'd come in between the siblings just because he was in love with one of them, could he? Every second that he sat waiting in the living room was torturous. But the only thing he could do was wait. He just hoped everything went well between the siblings. He didn't know when he started falling for Brad, but he just found himself deeply in later on. Up until now, he still finds it ridiculous. He never thought he would be in a relationship with another man. His dream had always been to study, date a beautiful girl, and maybe later get married and have kids, but here he was, worrying about a man he had come to cherish with all his life. He could only sigh silently.
When Brad arrived in the study and sat across from his brother, he could feel his brother looking at him. He also turned to look at him and the two locked eyes. There was a subtle tension in the air, but Brad didn't seem to care about that. He just wanted to know what his brother was up to. He was the one who had raised Brad, so Brad somehow knew how he worked. Not totally, though, because he was very mysterious. That's why Brad wasn't sure what Jean was up to, as they sat in the study, calmly scrutinizing each other. Jean looked at Brad's eyes, which were filled with determination and sighed. It seemed he'd have an explanation to offer their grandfather later. But what could he do? He was the big brother and could only take up responsibility for his kid brother. Despite somehow having the answer in his mind, he still went ahead and asked the question he had meaning to ask.
"Have you really decided?" Jean asked carefully. He didn't want to make Brad seem that he was against their relationship. He just wanted to confirm. And he knew how Brad operated. He wouldn't get himself into something he wasn't sure of. That's why Jean was very sure that Brad wasn't going to change his mind. The fact that he had observed their interactions at the dining table also confirmed everything. Brad was mostly cold and indifferent to other people, but when it came to Aaron, it was a whole different story.
"Yes, brother. I only want him." Brad stated firmly. The answer was so firm that Jean was a bit taken aback.
Since Brad was so firm, Jean decided to give in.
"Well, I just want you to be happy." Jean said and stood up. Brad couldn't help but look at him in shock. He knew his brother was the most difficult to deal with, but now he seemed to have softened up? Before he could react, his brother had already left, so he could only follow him out.
As soon as Aaron saw Brad, he couldn't care less about what Jean would think. He instantly stood up and rushed to where Brad was.
"Are you okay?" As he asked this, he held Brad's hand and kept checking him out. Even Jean, who was still standing to watch, felt his lips twitch. What impression did he leave on the kid? A monster?
