Lucifer
Kid and Heath were so happy it was written all over their faces and she got me out of the dog house without even knowing it. Heath hasn’t notice anything so I was in the clear or that is what I thought. When Kid got up to go to the bathroom Heath leaned over the table. “You drank from her last night.” He said. “I did.” I wasn’t going to lie. “That’s our thing.” I told him. “You drank too much.” He said without raising his voice but I could hear the anger in his words. “I didn’t mean to.” “Well, it won’t happen again.” He said with a huge smile on his face as Kid walked back to the table. Before she sat down, I said “No it won’t.” “Good.” That was very observant of him it was also less painful than I thought it would be, he probable don’t want to make waves while this thing between the three of us were still so new.
“Lucifer have you told Heath what we were thinking?” “No not yet love.” “What were you thinking.” I looked at Kid “Go ahead tell him.” “Well, we want to know if you will stay with us first off all.” “In your penthouse?” Heath asked shocked. “No no I’m going to buy a house at the lake a big house but we will need someone to make sure the garden is maintained and the house is maintained. I also need someone to fix a leakage at the penthouse.” “And you want me to live with you and work for you?” Heath asked not quite sure what we were asking from him. “I thought it would be nice if you are close then we can catch up on everything. Off course we won’t expect you to do everything you can have people that can do the work you just have to oversee them.” Kid said explaining a little better, but he still didn’t look convinced but I knew what would convince him.
“The other thing Heath is Niki.” “Yes?” That got his attention immediately I didn’t even have to tell him who Niki was at he met him once. “His partner asked me to let him go if you stay with us then we don’t need him.” “Why does he want his partner fired?” I look at Kid because I didn’t tell her this yet. “He doesn’t trust him alone with Kid.” Kid looked at me in shock “No.” She said. “Yes Kid, and the fact that he can’t touch you is an issue. How is he suppose to help you if he can’t touch you?” “I don’t like him I wondered why you took him on?” Heath said. “Angel and Niki were a package deal but when your own partner don’t trust you anymore then I can’t trust him.” “I agree and, in that case, I will come and stay with the two of you.” “You will?” Kid almost screamed. Heath smiled “Yes Kid if it makes you this happy I will.” “Thank you, Heath thank, you, you won’t regret it.”

I was so happy when we walked out of the restaurant, I have a dad and his willing to stay with us, it doesn’t sound like he wants to work for us but he is willing to stay with us and that is a start. I was shocked that Angel didn’t trust Niki alone with me. I was also shocked that the few minutes Heath saw Niki, he didn’t like him. It’s weird how people are. As we stood outside Lucifer asked Heath, “You want a lift back with us on my plane tomorrow?” “No, I have to go back to my place and pack is it okay if I come to Seattle say in a week’s time, I just need to wrap up a few things.” “Yes, off course.” Lucifer said but I wasn’t that happy. “Kid?” Heath asked. “Yes, it’s okay.” “It doesn’t sound okay.” Heath said very observant. “I’m just worried you won’t come to Seattle.” He took my hand and looked me in the eyes. “Kid when I tell you I’ll be there I promise you I’ll be there; I’ll give you my address and you and Lucifer can hop on that plane and come and get me.” I smiled but the smile felt fake “No I trust you.” “Good because we have a lot of catching up to do.” “We do.” I said. I hugged him again and when I let go, I looked at him deciding if I can really trust him. He made a cross over his heart “I promise.” It was like he was reading my mind. Wait can he read my mind? I asked out load in my head both him and Lucifer said. “Well, if you are that load then yes he can.” Lucifer said, because when I’m load, he could to. “Just load thoughts or any thoughts.” Heath looked at me like he wanted to lie but went against that. “Any thoughts Kid but I didn’t do it with you not until just now when you looked at me like you didn’t believe me.” “Promise?” I asked him “I promise and I will never read your mind if you don’t want me to.” “Thank you, Heath.” I got in the SUV and got a smile from Angel but nothing from Niki. He was really in a fowl mood. When Lucifer got in Angel asked “Where to boss?” “Hotel please.”
I looked over at Lucifer “Can we go for our last walk in Central Park when we get back?” “Off course we can.” “Don’t you want to take care off business?” I made my eyes big pointing at Niki’s back. “No business can wait we can go for a walk; that’s a much better idea.” When we got back to the Hotel, Lucifer and I got out and walked straight over the street and into Central Park. Heath was still on my mind. “It didn’t sound like Heath wants to work for us?” I asked Lucifer. “I got the same impression but maybe that is a good thing, maybe if he goes out and do something else you two won’t get board of each other to soon.” Lucifer said. “My father how can I get bored of him?” “I don’t know I’m just thinking out loud.” “Oh okay. Why didn’t you tell me Angel didn’t trust Niki with me?” “Honestly I was thinking about the meeting with Heath and if he will see that I drank to much from you last night?” “I did my make up to perfection he didn’t notice.” “Love I’m not going to lie to you when you went to the bathroom he told me he knew I drank to much from you and that it’s not going to happen ever again.” I smiled at him. “Did he threaten you?” “You can say so, yes.” That made me smile but it also made me realized I won’t be able to hide anything from him.
