Chapter 50 Back to Dylan's House

Chapter 50 Back to Dylan's House
"Daniella, I didn't mean it that way." I felt dizzy; the lights on the motorcycles and cars weren't turned off and were shining brightly toward us, but I tried to calm my father-in-law down. I held Father's hand as a sign that I didn't blame him, but I couldn't say anything and just nodded my head.
"Give me Daniella if you don't want any bloodshed here." I can still hear Dylan's booming voice, giving warnings as if he were the strongest and capable of killing everyone here.
"This child is so arrogant. Do I have to hit you to get you to leave?" John spoke with no less arrogance, and of course, that provoked Dylan's anger.
"Are you sure you want to hit me? Before you succeed in doing that, you'll be dead first." Dylan signaled to his men to teach John a lesson, and from there the fight began.
Damian gripped my hand tightly, letting me stay behind him no matter what happened. Meanwhile, Collin and John handled all of Dylan's men.
"Dad, go into the room and lock the door." In a state of disarray, I asked Father to find a safe place. I don't want Father to get hurt again. The bruise on his face hasn't even healed yet, and I don't want to see him get beaten up again.
"No, I will protect you, my daughter-in-law." Father stood beside Damian to block me.
"Sir, you'd better take Daniella inside and lock the door tightly." Damian offered a solution, and this time Dad was willing to listen. Father brought me inside the house, locked the door, and blocked it with the sofa in this house.
Seeing my elderly father, whose body wasn't in good condition, made me feel quite sorry for him as he pushed all the objects to block the entrance. But I didn't have the strength to help him. I sat down on a chair and felt a persistent dizziness.
I don't know what's happening out there, but the sound of fighting just won't stop. I was trying to find my phone to call Philip so he could bring more of our men. Philip could also bring Mother's guards, which clearly means we'll need to be quite evenly matched in this fight if we want to win.
"Mr. Philip, Dylan managed to track me down. They came attacking, and we were outnumbered. I hope you can bring more henchmen," I said, my gaze beginning to focus.
"Oh God, I shouldn't have come home. I'll be there soon, ma'am. It looks like we'll have to practice tonight too." Without further ado, Philip hung up the phone to rush over here.
But suddenly a loud noise was heard; someone was trying to break down the door. I don't know what happened, but one of Dylan's men managed to reach the door. Father and I were startled, but he still tried to hold the items in front of the door so it couldn't be opened even a little.
"Dad, are you okay?" I asked, but Dad shook his head.
"Go to your room and lock the door. Let Dad hold the door." Father's voice was strained as he exerted all his strength to keep the door from opening even a little.
"No, Father. I will accompany you. Dylan wouldn't be able to hurt me because he wants this baby. What I'm worried about is Dad; he could be mean to Mom, which means he could also be mean to you."
"Don't be stupid, Daniella. Everyone is trying to protect you. Don't worry about me; don't sacrifice yourself for an old man who doesn't even want his life anymore." There was despair in Father's words. I knew my father-in-law was a sincere person; he couldn't possibly have revealed my whereabouts, especially since he was busy crying over my mother-in-law all day. Now, in his desperation, he still wants to protect me.
Slowly, I tried to get up to listen to Father's words and go to my room, but my head hurt so much, my vision spun, and my body felt so weak.
With ringing ears, I heard the sound of shattering glass, and before my eyes closed, I saw Dylan's men approaching me. I couldn't control my body, and I just closed my eyes.

My whole body aches, I realize I didn't sleep lying down, and when I open my eyes, sunlight immediately shines on me. The nite of the fight with Dylan has passed, I don't know how it ended, but realizing I'm in this room tied up, it seems defeat is on my side. Philip is sure to be late arriving at the location, so I'm back to being a prisoner here.
I'm sure this must be Dylan's house, even though I've never seen a room with only one vent as the sole source of sunlight before.
This must be a prison cell. Anne told me once, but I only saw the front area, which was filled with many guards.
A woman in a leather jacket she was wearing strolled over to me. I'm sure she's one of Dylan's people. It's impossible that Dylan would give me Anne or Mary to look after me or be my maids again.
"Keep this." And surprisingly, the woman gave me an earphone. An earphone I recognized very well, Damian's, with its own distinctive features.
"Where did you get this?" I asked to make sure. The earphones are still on my thighs because my hands are tied tightly behind me.
"Mary gave that to me," she said.
"Can I trust you?" I think I need to be a little cautious.
"I'm Mary's friend; my name is Marin. She gave me this so you could connect with your people." I paused for a moment, observing and wondering why this woman named Marin was willing to give me this object. This isn't a trap, is it?
"Why are you still thinking? I'm Mary's friend; I'm one of the guards just like her." I was still silent even though she had explained who she was.Because I didn't respond, Marin untied my hands and offered the earphones again.
"Please contact your people before my time here runs out." Marin got up and left, waiting at the door and starting to play on her phone.
With a little hesitation, I put on the earphones, connecting them to Damian to find out what happened last night and how things were there.
"Daniella, you finally contacted us. Don't be afraid of Marin; Mary already told me that Marin is her friend and she's willing to be on our side." That's Damian's voice, and for some reason, I want to cry hearing it, like sadness wanting to be saved.
"Alright. How is it there? What happened last night? And how is my father-in-law doing?"
"When Philip came here, you had already been taken away by one of Dylan's men. We didn't lose; we just ran out of people," Damian explained.
"Then what about Dad?" I asked in a hurry.
"That's it; the problem happened to your father-in-law."
"Why? What happened to my father-in-law?"
