Chapter 154: I Won’t Let Her Off

Chapter 154: Don't Want to Let Her Go

"Alison, no matter what your last name is, you're not her. I won't make that mistake again." He hated himself for being so foolish for so long. When he thought back, the woman in the video had long black hair, but the slight curl at the ends was definitely not Alison's.

Four years ago, Alison's hair was straight as a waterfall, flowing gracefully in the wind. He remembered it clearly.

Thinking about it now, he realized how careless he had been. So many details showed that it wasn't her.

But he never expected there could be someone in the world who looked exactly like Emily. Despite his doubts, he still missed the real her.

"Jack, if you ever meet her, bring her to see me, okay? I really want to meet her."

"Sure, but I have one condition."

"What condition?" she asked sleepily, feeling so comfortable leaning against him. Her fingers gently brushed over the arm she had just bitten, feeling a bit guilty, but she would never admit it and ask to put medicine on it.

"You have to agree first, then I'll agree."

"Okay." She responded seriously, genuinely curious about meeting Emily.

"Really?"

"Yes, really."

"Alright, my condition is that you have to let me kiss you every day." As he finished speaking, his lips covered hers.

"Ah..." Her surprised exclamation was instantly swallowed by his kiss.

His kiss was gentle and tender, as if he was afraid of scaring her, slowly kissing her lips, teeth, and then her tongue, making her melt weakly against him.

"Alison, you smell so good."

"Mmm... you're so naughty." This wasn't a condition; he was clearly teasing her.

"But I just like you."

"What about your other women? And what about Aimée?" She suddenly thought of Aimée, "Didn't you say you were going to marry her?" She remembered Aimée's unborn child and thought, children are innocent. She herself was an abandoned child and didn't want Aimée's child to be abandoned by their father before they were even born. "Jack, you have to take care of that child." After saying this, she still thought that maybe Aimée didn't want to have the child herself.

"Shh..." He quickly hushed her. At this moment, he didn't want to hear about other women. Although he knew Aimée was a big obstacle between him and Alison, he didn't want Aimée to ruin the precious moment he had with Alison.

This warmth was too hard to come by, so he had to cherish it.

"Jack, I'm serious, don't let the child suffer."

"I know, let's not talk about this. Tell me where you want to go tomorrow."

"I don't want to go anywhere. I've packed everything and just want to check out tomorrow."

"Nonsense, the room is paid for until next Friday. I heard the room fee here is non-refundable. Do you want me to waste that money?" As he spoke, he started tickling her, making her giggle.

"What? What did you say?" She counted the days. Today was Saturday, so there were six days until next Friday. "Oh my God, do I have to stay here for six days?"

"We're on vacation. I gotta spend time with Sophia and Ethan..." He paused, then added, "And of course, you."

"You're such a sweet-talker, and a flirt," she teased.

"So what? My heart only has room for you." He continued tickling her.

"Stop it, please, take your hands off, don't wake the kids," she pleaded.

"What are you afraid of? Afraid I won't see?" He kept tickling her, making her laugh so hard she could barely breathe.

"Yes, I'm really afraid, Jack, please, take your 'wolf claws' away." She was most afraid of being tickled, laughing until her stomach hurt, her face flushed, making him want to bite her.

Seeing she was really afraid of being tickled, he reluctantly let go but still teased her, "See if you dare call me a flirt again."

"You are, though. Count how many women you've had," she said with a hint of resentment, like she was settling scores with him.

"What? Jealous?" he asked.

"No, I wouldn't be." She had even pushed him towards Aimée; she was generous enough, with a heart as big as the ocean.

He felt a bit uneasy, his face stiffened, "You have to be jealous, or I'll tickle you again."

That expression... made her hold back her laughter, afraid to laugh out loud and wake the kids, but she couldn't stop giggling.

He watched her quietly for a while before saying, "Alison, you look so beautiful when you laugh."

Her face turned red, she looked down, "Jack, it's late, go to sleep." His arm was still red, the blood had started to clot, the sight of it made her feel guilty.

So she urged him to sleep, hoping he would treat his wound in private.

"I'm not sleepy," he said.

She yawned, "But I am." She wasn't trying to chase him away, just wanted him to treat his wound.

"Then I'll put you to sleep." He said, flipping off the lounge chair and lying down, holding her in his arms. Once settled, he gently patted her back, "Sleep, my dear."

How could she sleep? His heartbeat was right next to her ear, making her more awake, "No, I don't want to sleep here."

"Then I'll carry you to the bed next door."

"No, I want to sleep with the kids."

"You can't."

"You can't say no, or I won't talk to you."

"Alison, don't forget, you still owe me money. For at least three months, you have to listen to me." He found a way to make her listen and didn't want to let her off easily.

"Jack, you're such a jerk." Her face turned red, thinking of the $1.2 million, which was her shame. She felt so embarrassed about that money.

He realized he had said the wrong thing, maybe too eager to sleep with her, and ended up saying the wrong thing. He thought she might be afraid he would bully her again, so he quickly reassured her, "Alison, I won't bully you anymore. Just sleep with me, I swear I won't touch you until morning."

"Really?"

"Really."

"Still no." She turned her head away, refusing to agree.

"Ouch..." As she turned, her hair brushed against his bitten arm, and he pretended to cry out in pain, secretly laughing inside.
