“Don’t f*ucking cry, Rose.”

I snapped again but that made her break even more.

All of a sudden, I miss the glare she had plastered on her face some seconds ago. She had pushed me to the wall fiercely and also teased me with the scent of her wetness which made me drive everyone out of the conference room.

She couldn't be perceived by anyone else.

She was angry but also frustrated just like I was.

How could she be angry and horny at the same time?

“I can’t stop the tears. Do you think I want to cry in this situation?” Rose whimpered and turned her back to me, hiding her teary eyes.

Instinctively, I left my seat and walked up to her.

She has been punishing me and making me more hungry for her during the past few days and Adam has been paying for that.

However, I didn't want her to run anymore. I didn't want to chase her anymore. I wanted her to willingly take me, claim me and possess me as hers. I gave in to my need and wrapped my hands around her from behind.

There was no way I could stay mad at her even though she has been nothing but annoying.

Rose muttered, “I know you are mad at me, Josh. I know I deserve it but–”

“There is no but, Rose. You are annoying as hell and you have made the past few days hard on us for no reason at all. I thought you wanted me.” I interjected calmly, holding her against me and inhaling her scent.

Rose muttered, sniffing back her tears, “I do want you, My King. I have just been occupied and ever since that day, I have been unable to control my desire. It's frustrating and I don’t even know why I have stayed away for so long.”

She was contradicting herself as she spoke and I understood she was doing that because she was truly frustrated. I placed my hands on her shoulders and turned her frame around, bringing her face to mine.

“I am sorry…” Rose mumbled.

“Will you please stop running from me, Rose? Will you please stop hiding? I need you and it’s driving me crazy. You are driving me crazy emotionally and sexually, Rose. that’s wickedness at its peak.”

I expressed my feelings, caressing her cheeks with my fingers.

Rose chuckled still sniffing, “Truly, I am wicked. I know that much. Perhaps I did that because I found out you were whooping Adam’s as the longer I stayed away from you.”

“Now that’s evil. No wonder he hates you.” I joked.

Rose laughed heartily as her head fell to the back. I couldn't resist her contagious laugh as I traced her lips and her waist. I was certain that the people outside the conference room would be shaking their heads as we laughed.

We were weirdos… and I love our weirdness because we fit together perfectly.

“I want to do something even more evil to you, Rose.” I whispered to her after we both stopped laughing.

Our gaze connected as I let my hands fall to her lower back. Rose's hands moved to my neck and we both stared into each other's eyes like we were connected on a deeper level.

Rose asked, “What will that evil be, Alpha King Josh?”

“Kissing you all over the place, pinning you to the wall while I eat you out, making you squirt hard and eventually lay you on that table, spreading you for easy access while I fuck you hard like I have never done before.”

I voiced the details without breaking our eye contact and I was fortunate enough to watch as her eyes dilated.

She whimpered, “Since when have you been thinking about this?”

“Since we walk into this room and you wouldn't meet my gaze. You drive me to the point where I want you as soon as possible.”

I answered with a voice that made Rose shiver in my arms.

Rose announced, “I have been stopping myself from jumping you, Josh. I am aching for you and I doubt that I will survive another minute without you–”

As if we were cursed to never copulate ever the last one, a persistent knock came from the door and it was followed by a familiar voice. This time it wasn't Adam. He has learned his lesson in the hardest way.

It was Eric. and he stuttered fearfully, “Forgive me, My King. Beta Adam forced me to do this.”

“What do you want, Eric and Adam.”

I seethed.

This time, Adam connected to my mind and informed me. “We still have a lot to do today, My King and it’s not safe to be affectionate with Rose like this in public. Your brothers will know about her and she will be in danger and you will also be affected because it’s obvious you are completely smitten by her.”

My Beta quickly added, “I am sincerely looking out for you both and I also want to remind you that we are to meet with the spies this evening. It’s three hours past noon already and we aren't done with the meeting and–”

“Thank you for having my back, Adam.” I found myself saying to my Beta and I kissed Rose’s forehead, promising her that we would take this home and we will continue there.

“Promise me that you won’t push me away when we get home, Rose? I am tired of that and I might actually go crazy if you punish me like this again.”

I let out and Rose nodded, “We will continue this at home. I promise not to drive you crazy… not anymore.”

I placed a chaste kiss on her lips before calling everyone back and the presentation was continued.

Eventually, I agreed to proceed with the project with the first company which Rose called, “Natural Mining Group”. I know nothing about the company but since Rose argued that they are the best, I picked them.

“For now, keep them guessing the nature f our mineral resources but let them know that we want them to sell our finished product to the world.”

I said to the team after the decision was made. I also permitted them to go ahead with the negotiation.

Eric raised a question, “My King, does this mean we will not be marketing any of our products?”

“We will be marketing to the other werewolf territory, Eric. We have spoken about this before.”

I answered… Well, a partial answer since his question made it known that he has been absent-minded.

The meeting was closed and within five minutes, Adam, Eric. Rose and I were back in the car. Eric drove us back to the pack but before we reached my mansion, I told him to stop the call so Adam and I could alight.

“I will see you at home in two hours, Rose.”

I said to Rose before I exited the car and I watched the car as it drove towards the mansion.

“We have to go now, My King.”

Adam urged me and I tore my eyes off the moving car. Adam and I zoomed off to the new location that has been arranged for the meeting with the spies.

“They are here already.”

Adam announced through the mind link as if I haven't perceived the presence of the spies myself.

“Hello.” My Beta voiced. “Apologies for arriving two minutes later than we scheduled.”

I understood that Adam was being careful and polite but he was going overboard.

The same strange voice that we both heard the last time we met the spies resonated through the small cabin that Adam had chosen as our new meeting point because Rose found the last one.

“Welcome, Alpha King Josh, and apologies accepted Beta Adam of the Northern Territory.”

One of the spies replied to Adam’s apology and they all bowed as they greeted me.

“Thank you for coming again.” I addressed them.

They were dressed the same way as the last time and their masks were still held to their faces too.

I stared at them one after the other as I chimed, “I believe it's high time I see the faces of those that would be working for me.”

I folded my arms around myself, expecting to get a response or reaction but none came. The spies didn't say a word and silence fell upon us all.

Adam said to me after minutes of complete and eerie silence, “Perhaps we should let them keep to their protocols. It shouldn't be a problem as long as they get the job done.”

My Beta advised me but I stood my ground and waited for one of the spies to speak.

I recalled that they had to check the surrounding the last time so I assumed that was what they were doing.

Finally, another one of them voiced, “Your beliefs are great, Alpha King Josh. My brothers and I will introduce ourselves before we discuss further.”

With that, they took off their masks, revealing the faces behind them.
