Chapter 50 - The Tycoon Alpha's Temptation

ROSE’S POV

I dread this day.

Not only was it the day the team and I fixed the official presentation after Alpha King Josh couldn't make it on the initially fixed day but it was also the end of the week.

Today was Friday.

Since the day I walked away from Alpha King Josh and Adam by the lakeside which they claimed was harmful, I had been working on the presentation with Shawn, training with Fiona, Jared, and the other warriors, and also carefully plotting my “Slap Alpha Richard in the face” mission.

It’s been a few days but I have been up to so much.

Fortunately and thanks to my new gadgets I didn't have to come in for work until today and I came with Alpha King Josh, Beta Adam, and Eric.

“According to our research, these three companies are the top companies that deal with mineral resources in the human world.” Shawn revealed the name of the companies on the projector just like we have planned.

Alpha King Josh was sitting at the head of the table as usual and Beta Adam wa sitting beside him. Eric was sitting opposite Beta Adam like I would have if I wasn't avoiding being in close proximity to Adam and Josh.

Not because I was mad– or maybe I was mad at Adam because he could see through my mask: a mask that Alpha Richard has forced me to wear.

And for Alpha King Josh, I was simply saying away for him because ever since the heated moment we had by the lakeside, I had been burning to have his touch on me. Each time I see him, perceive him or get close to him, my v*agina skipped a beat and throbs for him.

I become wet instantly.

It was best to keep these reactions away from the conference where my work was being presented and discussed.

“From the bottom, we have Will Mining Corporation.” Jared started talking about the companies. He was standing in front of the conference room while a few members of the team were sitting at the end of the table with me.

Jared stated, “On the fifth page of the report we submitted which we all have a copy, we have explained that this Corporation is profitable and they are well known for their clean mining experience. They also sell their resources and make huge profits annually.”

“But we have a problem with them even though they are good.” I chipped in, supporting Jared from my seat. “They are good miners and supplies of mineral resources but since we plan on mining the mineral resources ourselves, they won't be of much help except the supply aspect.”

“Exactly. They don’t process these resources either. They simply mine and sell them to other companies that will make valuable items out of them.”

Jared added.

Alpha King Josh shifted his gaze to me and I quickly turned my eyes away before I become a puddle of hot horny mess.

“According to the plan, we will be processing our mineral ourselves. We simply need a company that can buy the final product and makes it sell amazingly among the rich human folks.” Eric chimed.

I looked at him, “That’s good. We weren't informed about the plan also much information about the nature of the mineral resources we have are being kept away from us. This is the reason we haven’t been able to pick any of these companies.”

“They have reached out to us like we needed but they also want to know what mineral we have. Is it Gold, Platinum, or Jadeite which is the most expensive of them all?”

I asked these questions just like the emails we have received. The humans needed to know more but I couldn't give them more because I had little knowledge myself.

“There are reasons for the sheltered pieces of information, Rose.” Beta Adam never failed to remind me that I was still an outsider in the pack even though I was from the Northern territory.

I was a northerner myself.

“Well, there are other companies and industries that are listed and widely explained in the report you all have in your hands. I hope we can find one from the ones that reached out to us.”

I responded to Beta Adam. it would benefit us all if we do not have to look elsewhere for companies. I was tired.

“I want to get out of here, Rose.” Cali revealed into my mind. “Business talk is boring and Alpha King Josh won’t stop staring at you.”

I etched, “Can you not call my attention to that? I have to stay focused, Cali.” I reprimanded my horny wolf.

Alpha King Josh’s voice resonated through the room, “Tell me about the other two top companies, Rose.”

My eyes cut to his as they widened. Certainly, he knew that I was trying to stay away from him but he wouldn't let me.

I pulled myself together and said, “Jared will do justice to that within minutes, My King–”

“I want to hear from you, Rose. I believe you were the one that put all of these together.”Alpha King Josh commanded and he made sure I didn't take my gaze from his.

I could feel heat pooling between my legs and I had to beg Cali to mask my scent before I would lose it. I wouldn't want the people in the conference room with us to perceive my arousal. Whereas, I wouldn't want to jump Alpha King Josh in between a conference.

Clearing my throat, I replied, “The team did this, My King, and–”

“Stop the crap and tell me what I need to hear, Rose.” He barked at me, losing his cool.

To others, he might seem angry but I could see that he was lashing out because he was frustrated. S*xual frustration was the reason and it was all my fault. Alpha King Josh had tried to fuel the fire between us but I kept pushing him away.

And Beta Adam had been glaring at me. Apparently, the longer I stayed away from Josh, the more Adam get punished for intruding on us that day by the lakeside.

I loved that but I have been suffering as well.

“Alright.” I breathed and left my seat to join Shawn by the screen. “The second company on the list actually does everything. They mine. They process into finished goods and also sell at any point but since they don't have enough staff and shareholders, they aren't as profitable as Will Mining Corporation.”

Shawn mentioned, “They are called Golden Brothers–”

Alpha King Josh gritted at Shawn, “Return to your seat and keep your mouth shut, Shawn.”

Shawn trembled as he shakily found himself a seat.

I couldn't tolerate Alpha King Josh's unnecessary harshness anymore so I voiced, “Do we need to take a minute break for you to catch your breath, Alpha King Josh?”

My tone showed zero signs of respect and I could hear the team members gasping after I let out those words and stared straight into Alpha King Josh’s eyes without falling at his feet.

“You think this is a joke–” Alpha King Josh said through clenched teeth as he stared at me like I was his long-time enemy.

I interjected, “Which is why I advise that the Alpha King calm himself and listen to the team. We worked on this together and you can’t just–”

“Enough!”

Alpha King Josh snapped, inhaling sharply like he was barely stopping himself from punching me in the face. His frustrations had turned into anger and his nostrils flared as his fists balled.

I didn't let his anger get to me though… I was angry too.

I was mad at the universe for making it so hard to be with the man I wanted.

Even right now as I held his gaze angrily, I wanted him so much it broke me. I could feel my eyes welling up with tears and I could tell my horniness would soon be perceived by everyone in the conference room.

But before that could happen, Alpha King Josh ordered, “Get out.” His gaze didn't flatter and I didn't move either and he barked with urgency, “Vacate this space now! All of you.”

Again, I didn't move but everyone else did… and it was just he and I… during our meltdown.

Eventually, I broke down before him as my unshed tears got the best of me.

Why did I break into tears?

Perhaps it has something to do with the last day of the week… which was today. Right?
