YOUR DAUGHTER IS STILL ALIVE

He sighted the sword in the warrior's hand and pulled it gently out of the scabbard on his waist. He squatted in front of the dungeon, moving closer to Alexander to poke him with the edge of the sword.

"Wake up," he said, softly using it to rub Alexander on the head. Alexander's brow rose and fell. He got up from the floor, touching his head. There were dark circles under his eyes, and his face had a lot of freckles and an unshaven beard that made him look similar to Jordan. Alexander's eyes lit up as he realized that he had been woken by Jackson.

"Why haven't you been able to escape from this place?" Jackson asked.

"You think it's easy to be watched by a warrior 24/7? And besides, I have been under the weather these last few days, so I am very weak to even stand on my feet." Alexander said in a shaky voice.

"Have you been skipping meals?" Jackson inquired.

"I didn't skip them intentionally; I just didn't get food." Alexander replied.

"That's bad. I will look for a way to send medicine to you tomorrow, but let me get to the reason I came here in the first place. I can't keep it to myself anymore. You deserve to know." Jackson said.

"Know what? If it's bad, don't tell me." Alexander said, resting his face back on the dirty floor, and it disgusted Jackson.

"I will try my best to get you out of this cell, I promise you." Jackson assured.

"I know you will. That's one of the things I like about you. Now tell me the news." Alexander declared.

"Your daughter is still alive.." Jackson didn't finish his speech when he was cut short by Alexander, who got up from the floor and opened his eyes wide in shock.

"M-My daughter is still alive." He asked with a lot of happiness in his voice.

"Yes, my dear friend, she is very much alive. I didn't let her get killed. I made a promise to your wife to save her no matter what." Jackson said.

Alexander burst into tears. "Come on, man, why are you crying?" Jackson asked with a smile.

"It's tears of joy, my friend; I'm just so happy that I didn't lose everything I had; even though I lost my wife, I still have a daughter who will have some of her mother's characteristics." Alexander said.

"Yes, she is similar to her mother and also different." Jackson said.

"Tell me about her. I want to meet her. Where is she? Where does she live? Does Carlos know about her?" Alexander bombarded him with questions.

"Carlos doesn't know. He thinks she was killed a long time ago. She lives with my mom. She has grown up to be a very strong and unique girl, with special abilities. She can turn invisible and also have a strong wolf." Jackson said.

"I can't wait to see her. I haven't met her, but I am so proud of her. Can you tell me her physical features?" Alexander inquired.

"Yes, she has silver hair and two different colored eyes, but trust me, that's what makes her unique and beautiful, but there is a little problem." Jackson said, looking down. Alexander's eyes widened.

"What?" he asked curiously.

"She is too stubborn." Jackson said, and Alexander chuckled, holding laughter.

"That is not a big deal? She got that from me. Is she aware of my existence? Does she want to meet me?" Alexander inquired.

"She is still too young, so I am training her to get back at Carlos so she can take revenge and free you from this cell. Just give me some more time and I will introduce you to her. Telling you all this information is very risky." Jackson said, looking at the warrior that was standing beside him.

"I don't know what to say. You have done so much for me, and all I have ever done is hate you for becoming the beta of that lunatic." Alexander said

"I feel you. If I was in your shoes, I would have hated me." Jackson remarked.

"I can't wait to finally meet my daughter. If I get out of here, I will surely reward you in a massive way," Alexander assured.

"You don't have to do any of that; you mentioned once that I'm like a brother to you, didn't you?" Jackson inquired.

"Yes, I wish I could hug you right now," Alexander said, wiping the tears from his eyes as they started hearing thunderous footsteps heading in their direction. Jackson shoved the sword back into the scabbard and ran away in the opposite direction of the hallway that led to the back door.

Alexander pretended to be sleeping and opened one of his eyes as he sighted Andrew looking into the dungeon. Andrew was sure he heard people's voices. He stroked his chin and glared at the warrior who was sleeping and hit him hard in the face.

"Stop sleeping on duty, idiot!" Andrew scolded, and the sword fell from his hand.

"Pick that up, don't you know how to hold a sword, why are you sleeping aren't you on night shift?" Andrew asked with a frown.

"We don't do that anymore. There are not enough warriors. I work all day." the warrior replied.

"Just sleepless and keep your eyes on the prisoners." Andrew said and walked over to Belle's dungeon, making sure she was still there before going back to his room.

Ava woke up from her nightmare and started breathing continuously. She yawned and hit her phone by mistake. She stared at the time. It was mid-morning. She looked around her room and gasped.

"I have sleep a lot." she muttered to herself and got down from the bed when she noticed the plank on her window.

"Who put this here?" She said, asking no one in particular, and sauntered to the bathroom. She washed her face with warm water and looked into the mirror.

"I am coming for you, Belle. Just hang in there." she muttered, and used a face towel to pat her face dry.
