Chapter 697 Go to Harmony City to Take Wedding Photos

Lillian and Alexander were thrilled to hear this and said, "Really? That's wonderful!"

Caspian said with a smile, "Time to start preparing wedding gifts."

Wendy came out of Caspian's arms and said to Lillian, "Lillian, come on, let's go chat."

The two of them took some juice and snacks and headed to the small garden.

"Our parents met today, and we came right over after it ended," Wendy said happily while eating fruit. "I haven't told you yet - my mom finally agreed to let me marry Caspian!"

These past few days, Wendy had been working during the day and coming home tired and lazy at night. She occasionally chatted in their group chat but hadn't mentioned her wedding plans. She'd been thinking that such an important matter should be shared in person.

Lillian was so happy for Wendy when she heard this good news. "That's really great! How did your mom suddenly agree? I was actually planning to ask you about how things were going with you and Caspian when you came over today."

"Oh, talking about this, it's a long story. Let me tell you everything..." Wendy started sharing her story with Lillian.

More than ten minutes later, Wendy finished.

Lillian said in surprise, "Wow! Caspian's parents are so generous! I'd say they really like you as their daughter-in-law. Your mother-in-law is really nice!"

"She is pretty good. She keeps telling Caspian to take good care of me," Wendy said.

Lillian said, "Caspian likes to plan things, so just let him handle the wedding preparations. You just follow along with the arrangements. Don't work too hard at your job, don't push yourself too much, and don't forget you're pregnant."

"I'll be careful, don't worry." Wendy took a sip of juice, thought for a moment, and said, "Lillian, Caspian hasn't proposed to me yet. I feel like something's missing, and it bothers me a bit."

"The thing is, you two moved so fast - getting your marriage certificate, getting pregnant, parents meeting - one thing after another. It's only been such a short time. I bet Caspian just hasn't figured out how to propose to you yet."

"You're right. I feel like I've been pushed along this whole way, and suddenly we're at the wedding stage." Wendy was quite understanding and said, "If there's no proposal, then there's no proposal. He's been so busy preparing for the wedding lately, thinking about so many things. He doesn't have time for it, and I understand."

"Don't worry, maybe he's hiding some surprise. Just wait a bit longer," Lillian comforted her.

"By the way, who are you planning to ask to be bridesmaids and groomsmen?" she asked.

Wendy said, "Caspian and I actually talked about this before. Mr. Wellington is getting married on October 1st, so we won't ask him. We'll just ask Tom. Plus his two cousins - that should be enough. On my side, I'm planning to have my two cousins be my bridesmaids, but I'm still short one. I don't want to ask coworkers, and as for our classmates, I don't want to involve too many people. I really can't think of who to ask."

"Let me think... unmarried women I know... Leah, Michael's sister Emily, and a coworker from when I was working, Shirley. I have a pretty good relationship with her, and we've stayed in touch. What do you think? Who would you choose?"

"Let's skip Leah - isn't she kind of difficult? As for Emily, I don't know her well, and it would be awkward to ask her to do things. Let's skip her too."

Lillian said, "Then it's Shirley. She's straightforward and easygoing, really great. Let's ask her to be your bridesmaid."

Wendy said, "Okay, I'll go with your suggestion. Can you ask her for me?"

"Wendy's getting married and becoming a mom, and then it'll be Angela," Lillian said with emotion. "I never imagined the three of us would marry rich men. Do you remember back in college when the three of us would chat and say you'd marry a teacher, Angela would find a doctor, and I'd find an office worker to spend my life with? Isn't fate amazing - it brought us to meet those three guys and changed our lives."

Wendy nodded silently, leaning back in her chair, looking up at the night sky, and said thoughtfully, "I just feel like fate is so mysterious. If I hadn't gone to Evelyn's studio, I wouldn't have gotten involved with Caspian. It's like everything was meant to be."

"Fortunately, we're all happy!" Lillian said. "I'm really content and happy now, truly. I feel like God has been pretty good to me."

"You had it rough first, then sweet."

Night fell, stars twinkled in the sky, and the evening breeze was cool and pleasant.

"I wonder what Angela's doing right now," Lillian said.

"Do you even need to ask? She's definitely being all lovey-dovey with Mr. Wellington. Ever since she got together with him, she's become more and more gentle," Wendy said with a light laugh.

"You're getting married and having a baby, and after she gets married, I bet she'll get pregnant soon too. Our dream of the three of us traveling together is getting further and further away..."

"What if you get pregnant again? We probably shouldn't count on it for the next five years..."

At this, they both sighed.

When every day is in a good mood, time seems to fly by. Before they knew it, it was time for Wendy and Caspian to take their wedding photos.

They shot the indoor photos first. Under the photographer's direction, the two of them showed joyful smiles one moment and cool, aloof expressions the next. The morning passed quickly.

During a break, Wendy asked painfully, "Honey, how many outfit sets did you order? I'm so tired."

"The most expensive package. I don't know exactly how many sets. Babe, I haven't told you yet - there are three more days of outdoor shoots, and we have to go to Harmony City. It's beautiful there!" Caspian handed her a glass of milk.

Wendy asked in surprise, "What did you say? We have to go to Harmony City? Do you know how far that is? What kind of scenery requires us to travel that far?"

Caspian said, "The package originally included shooting abroad, but I was worried your body couldn't handle it, so I didn't choose that. Harmony City is pretty good - just a few hours by plane. You'll get beautiful wedding photos that will make you happy to look at."

Wendy thought to herself that she'd never been to Harmony City, and this would be a good opportunity to visit and have fun. So she nodded in agreement.

"Babe, let's just push through today and finish this set, then we'll go home. We'll have barbecue tonight, okay?"

"Okay, I want black pepper beef." Wendy finished her milk, stood up, and said, "Let's go, let's continue!"

This was her first marriage and she had no experience - she had no idea taking wedding photos would be this tiring!

A few days later, it was time for the outdoor shoot. The group took a plane to Harmony City.

The bridal shop had booked a seaside hotel - a four-story small villa.

Seeing that Wendy was pregnant, the staff arranged for the couple to stay on the first floor.

"Honey, this is my first time in Harmony City. What special local food is there?" Wendy found her beach dress and changed into it while asking him.

Caspian stood by the window, gazing at the ocean, and said, "I haven't really noticed. Every time I come here, it's just seafood, seafood, and more seafood. Rest for a bit first, then I'll take you to the market. There's food at the market you've never tried before."
