Chapter 28
Bella groaned as she sat up slowly in her bed. She had heard from the moon goddess and she had almost gotten branded by some alpha that was claiming to be her mate. it was all very hard for her to understand.
She sighed as she looked towards her clock and she saw that it was already nine and she had woken up late today.
She made her way slowly into the bathroom as she slowly pulled her shirt away from her back. She let out a sigh from her lips a the sight that was imprinted on her back. She tried not to cry out in pain as she came to the realization that it had actually grown bigger than it was yesterday.
She could see what appeared to be the outline of another word that had woven into it and she faced it when she saw the blue specs in his fur and she came to realize that it was the same wolf that she had been drawing. she allowed a gasp to break free from her lips and she realized that it was all connected.
It made sense as to how it seemed as though that was connected with everything. it was only the fact of the matter.
She didn’t know how much more for this animosity she would be able to take and how much longer it would be before she could finally get a break from everything.
She sighed as she rushed to finish getting ready. She thought back to her parents and she hoped that things would be much different. In a few hours she would turn 12 and a lot more responsibilities would be placed on her shoulders. She didn't know what her eighteenth really would bring her but she couldn’t help but wonder whether whatever it was it would be a good or bad thing.
She heard lots of chatter coming from down the stairs and she knew that it couldn't be anything good as she slowly made her way into the dining room. She was surprised to see that uncle jay and her mate Sarah were there
She immediately stopped in her tracks at the sight of them as she watched as he stared at her with a raised eyebrow.
“Well good morning sleepy head and prospective birthday girl..” Jay said to her and she remembered back to the conversation that they had the day before. She couldn’t help but wonder if he had in fact told her parents about what had happened. She held her breath as she felt that he hadn’t. she didn’t know how they would react to them fussing over her once more. She felt as though they were already bothered about her enough as it was.
“Good morning sweetie,” she was her bum say as he leaned down and placed a kid on her head. “so, hello everyone, I apologize for everything that happened yesterday.” she said to them and she watched as they raised up their hands towards her before they waved her off. “Well it is no big deal. I think they call it puberty in fact.” she said to him with a sigh.
She groaned at the words as they continued enjoying their meal. “Well what do you have planned for today.” he hears her mother and she doesn't know how to answer her as she only shoulders her shoulders in response. Well I don’t know, I just want to allow it and not wake up until tomorrow is over.” she muttered under her breath.
“Well that isn’t happening. I don't know why you aren’t excited. Tomorrow is meant to be the most important day of your life. You should be thrilled that you have the chance to experience something so amazing.” she heard her mother say.
“well. That is a first. I don't see why you need to throw a party. It isn’t like anyone will come by way, it isn't like any of them like me.” She said as she muttered under her breath. She watched as her mum’s face turned to a pained expression before she let out a sigh. ‘Well that is going to change. We are going to go to the mall and get you something to wear so that they will have no choice but to want to be friends with you. I know it just doesn’t seem like it now but I assure you that everything is about to get better.” she said to her and as he could only nod her head at her in. understanding.
They were pulled out of their thoughts moments later when the door was thrown open and they all turned to see Liz standing in the hall. “well hello second family. I think it's time to take the birthday girl out so that she can have some fun.” she said with a bright grin on her face and she couldn’t help but groan in response.
``Do we really have to?” Bella asked and she watched as her mom sent her a deep glare before she let out a huff and said. “Yup and your father and I are coming with you and we will do that so you are going to experience it together. she said to her enthusiastically. well that is great my parents are going to take me shopping at the mall isn’t that fantastic.” she muttered sarcastically under her breath.
“Well yes and the truth is that you have no choice in the matter and so this isn’t up for negotiation and you must go.” She heard her mother say to her sternly and she knew that there was no getting out of this for her because once her mother declared something then it was as though it was set in stone.
Bella didn’t know why but she had a slightly bad feeling about this outing. She didn’t want to be the negative one but she knew that she would have to try her best and not ruin the experience for them.
