Chapter 24

Bella let out a sigh from her lips as she made her way back out into the backyard. She let out a groan as she cracker d her neck and she began to crack her neck. She wanted to get this done and over with soon enough. she already knew that her father was a very strong witch.

He had been the apprentice to a very powerful warlock before he had left the come and although he tried to assure her on multiple occasions that she was more than content with having her and her mum in his life she could tell that he still missed most of his old life. She let out a sigh from her lips at the very thought as they made their way to the backyard.

“Okay so today we are going to focus on telepathy.” he said to her and she nodded her head at him. The truth was that she was already good at it. “But I know you are going to say that you already know how to do that but this is a different form of telepathy. I want you to be able to both protect yourself with your shield and attack using just your telepathy and so I want you to channel both of those abilities.” He said to her and she sighted before inhaling deeply.

She stood in her stance as she turned her attention back towards him. She watched as he cracked his neck before his eyes began to glow. She put up her shield in place as she tried to keep herself still. She watched as he lifted several of the rocks that had fallen in the garden into the air as he channeled them towards her. They were set like boomerangs to be hitting her continuously.

She tried her best to dodge them as she watched him. She was looking for any weaknesses but her father always did his best to keep up a barrier around his mind which made it almost impossible for anyone to break through and get into his thoughts.

“now I want you to get ready and attack me .”he said to her and she sighed as she tried her best to focus on her own powers. She took in as deep breath before she lifted up several rocks from the ground as she took them and threw them at him.

He was able to easily dodge then as he kicked back at her with a grin on his face. “Now that was impressive but we should take it up a notch. I want you to just lift me up into the air this time.” He said to her and she couldn’t help but hesitate at first. She didn’t know why he was asking her that. She had never done it before.

“I am going to fire at you, so you are going to either have to stop it or risk getting attacked.” he said to her as she watched as he created a ball of energy in the palm of his hand. she widened her eyes at the sight as she knew that it wasn’t going to be good.

“Go on try.” He said to her and she focused her attention at him as she tried to lift his body into the air. She was able to just lift him a few feet into the air but she wasn't paying attention and he threw the energy ball and he threw it straight at her.

She didn’t know which to focus on as she felt herself panic. She tried her best to dodge the energy ball but it was no use as it hit her barrier causing her to fall backwards on the ground.

Her father was also dropped on the ground. Shewas disoriented for a moment as she tried to take a moment to try and focus her own thoughts. She sighed shakingly her head at him before turning her attention back towards him. She zeroed in at the sight of him as she watched him smirk. “You still need work now, let us try that again.” He said to her and she sighed as she tried to refocus her own thoughts.

“Okay put back up your shield and let’s do that again. The aim is to lift me above the house.” he said to her and she nodded her head at him. She placed back up her shield as she thought that he would throw the pebbles at her again but she hadn’t expected for him to throw several surges of energy at her. She tried her best to dodge them as she focused on lifting him.

She was momentarily distracted as she watched him rise several feet above the house. She tried to return him to the ground but her eyes widened when she saw that he wasn’t coming back down. In fact instead he only seemed to be moving further away.

She tried to stop it as she closed her eyes but he sent another ball of energy towards her causing her to lose her balance. She fell to the ground hitting her head as she felt her body begin to convulse. She blacked out as black dots covered her vision.

Several growls surrounded her as she watched a bright blue glow escape from her chest. She watched as several wolves scurried towards her but she let out a loud cry from her lips as they were forced to be repelled away from her. she pulled away as she shot up from the ground.

She looked around widening her eyes in horror at the sight if the backyard that was a complete mess. As she felt her heart drop at the sight of her father past out on the corner as she rushed towards him.
