Chapter 13

The moon goddess made her way slowly into the room as she allowed the loud mutters of the Celestials in the room to echo against the walls around her. She turned towards the other celestials that were positioned around the room and she watched as they turned their gazes towards her and they raised their eyebrows at her before their mouths turned down slightly to reveal a frown.

“What have you done this time Selene?” She reheard Ren ask. He was the father of the sirens and his creatures had roamed the earth much longer than hers had. He thought of them as unbeatable as they had reached an almost immortal state. They were unreachable by humans and he had thought that they were the most superior creatures, any humans that got close to their waters never made it back out alive.

“We have a problem.” She spoke up to them and she heard as they let out a loud laugh at her words. “Well I don’t see how that is shocking. You always seem to have a problem don't you?” Lana muttered under her breath. She was the mother of the witches and they all seemed to constantly be at odds with Selene.

“So tell us what happened now?” She heard Marr speak up from the center of the room as the first and oldest of the celestials; it had only made sense for him to be appointed as the king. He had been the one who had made the final decision on Sefan and he had also been the one who had made the decision to also unite the celestial council. He was tough but he was just and he like the others weren’t a fan of the abominations that Selene had created.

“What has happened now?” He asked her once more and she sighed before saying. “One of my wolves has stumbled upon the flower Zan.” She said and she watched as they all let out loud gasps from their mouths. She watched as one of them shot out of their seats as they sent her a deep glare that was clear on her face. “How can that be? That is impossible.” She heard Marr saying as she sighed knowing that they wouldn’t believe her.

“You don’t have to believe me but you have to believe this.” She said to them as she pulled out the crystal ball.it showed Azrial travelling to the mountains as he retrieved the flower. “What is so special about this one? There have been those who have tried to find that flower for centuries and they have all been unsuccessful. How is it possible that this one was able to uncover it?” He spoke and she watched as he sent her a frustrated look.

“This can’t be good. if you have been able to find out about it then it means that Sevan had already become aware of it as well. We must put a stop to the madness right now before it gets any more out of hand.” She heard Marr speak and she nodded her head in agreement.

“So what has he done with the flower. Why would he try to take possession of it?” she asked and before Selene could answer Marr spoke up with a huff. “Do they need a reason? Those creatures are greedy and constantly trying to topple the societies that they had put in place themselves.” he said to her with a look of disgust that was clear on his face.

“Well this time he did it with good intentions, he was trying to save his people and he had heard that the flower might have had some healing abilities. He knew that it was a risk but he was willing to do it because in the end he was willing to do anything to save his people.” She said to them as she tried to defend him.

She knew that his actions were reckless and that there was no excuse for what he had done but on some level she understood why he would do it. “Do now you are defending him of course why wouldn’t I be surprised. I wouldn’t be shoked either if you are the one that put such ideas into his mind.” She heard then scoff and she swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat.

“Well I need your help. You do not have to belittle me and it isn’t as though your own creatures are saints, so let us not pretend as though they are any better than mine.” She said to them in a venomous tone.

“Well now that he has gotten the followers he needed, he gained access to it. What needs to be done that warranted this meeting.” She heard Marr call out.

He didn’t like to involve himself in the affairs of the supernatural and only did it when it became absolutely necessary for him to do so. “He gave his people a diluted form of the flower and although they seemed fine at first it turned them into monsters and twisted their minds into something else. It morphed them into a different type of monster that he didn’t understand and these creatures are loose in the wild. They have lost their human side and now they are nothing more than rabid wolves.” She spoke and he watched as they hummed before they nodded their heads at her.

“Well wolves are your counterpart as well so how does that affect us in the long run.” She heard him ask as he let out a sigh from her lips. She was aware that this was going to be harder than she had thought.

“They aren’t in my control any more, they have no conscience and they only have one plan and that is to kill anything in their path.” She said and she had expected them to show her some form of sympathy but she should have known better. she watched as they continued to stare at her blankly. “We are sorry that this has happened to your people but there is nothing that we can do as the matter does not affect us.” She heard Marr say. She was about to try and defend herself when she heard them let out agonizing pains as they clutched their heads. She knew all too well what that meant.

Some of their people were dying and as she looked into her globe she watched as the creatures continued to attack other supernatural and they hadn’t limited their actions towards wolves alone. She almost smirked as the turned back towards them with a raised eyebrow. “Are you still sure it is not your concern?” She asked and she watched as their gazes hardened.

“it is time for them to face trial.” She heard them chant in a chorus tone.
