Chapter 12
Azrial turned to look at the wolves as they rampaged through the pack, he could smell the distinct blood that was in the air as he made his way out of the cage cautiously. He didn’t want to think about what the cause of the smell was but as he approached one of the wolves he felt bile rise in his throat at the sight of the limb that he held in his hands. He watched as one of the wolves approached him cautiously as he tried to take a step back. He felt his foot land on a bench as a crunching sound rang through the forest.
They froze staring at him for a moment before growling as they bared their teeth.t hey charged towards him and he found himself unable to move away. He let out a loud growl of warning but it seems as though they no longer understood his commands. One of them reached out to grab his foot and he immediately dodged and he let out a warning growl.
He watched as they took a few steps back away from him before one of them charged at him. He extended his claws and pulled out a heart before he gasped as he watched the creature turn back to a human. It was one of his warriors and he felt several thoughts ring through his head. He turned towards the other wolves, as he finally came to the realization that would have to kill them now as they were already too far gone. That was the last thing that he wanted to do. And with a heavy heart he dropped his face and turned his expression towards them.
They charged towards him and without a second though he reached over to them and plunged his hand through their chest pulling out their hearts. They both them fell to the ground dead.
He closed their opened eyes as he felt the grief flood his bones. He made his way through the pack as he checked to see where the other people were. He prayed that they were still alive and that he hadn’t turned them all into monsters but he was already well aware of the fact that this was too good to be true.
He made his way through the tents and saw that the walls were all splattered with blood and there were limbs of various people that were tossed around the room. He didn’t want to think about who they were as he made his way outside.
He couldn’t help but wonder where the others were. And what had happened to the rest of his pack. He had been out to save them but it had seemed that the only thing that he had succeeded in doing was completely destroying it.
He fell to his knew as he tossed his head back and let out one last agonizing cry. He had failed both as a wolf and as an Alpha.
…
Selene stood in her throne room as she played with her creature; the wolf Zela. She hadn’t been involved in the matters of the celestials very much recently. She knew that it usually meant trouble and she was trying to avoid it. Her wolves were good and she knew that it would be hard for them to be corrupted by Sefan and his men.
She sighed as she heard the loud echoing footsteps coming from across the floor as they made their way towards her. She sat up abruptly with concern as she turned towards the door. She watched as it was going on and Micha the messenger came in.
“What is it Micha?” She asked as she watched as he began to breathe heavily. She sighed as he realized that she wasn’t aware of what had been taking place in the human realm.
“You must look into the human realm. You must see what chaos your wolves have done.” He said distraught and she felt dread come over her. “That is impossible. My wolves are good.” She said to him firmly and he sighed at her as he shook his head lightly.
“Yes they are good but not all of them. You must put a stop to the madness.” he said to her and she reached for her globe to see what was going on for herself.
She turned to earth and she was met with the forest land and she widened her eyes to see what was going on. There were several wolves that were stacking humans and werewolves. They were rampaging through packs. And tribes and they had seemed to have killed hundreds all ready.
“Who are these wolves and why would they do this?” She asked in a frightful voice.
He let out a sigh from his mouth as he shook his head at her and said, “They are werewolves, Luna. they were turned into this thing by their alpha. They have lost their human side which had inevitably turned them into these soulless creatures,” he explained to her and she felt a wave of anger wash over her at his words.
She needed to put an end to this madness once and fir all from the blue tinge in their eyes she couldn’t help but notice it seemed similar to that of the flower. “Don’t tell me they have found the flower.” She asked.
“I am afraid they have Luna and they have already used it for darkness.” He said to her with dread clear in his tone.
This was bad and she needed to put a stop to it once and for all before things got any further out of hand. “Where is the alpha?” She asked and she watched as the scene on the crystal ball changed.
It appeared to show Azrial laying on the ground on his knees with a defeated look. “It is time to pay for the power which you have acquired.” She muttered.
