Chapter 96 Chapter 96
Jess’s POV
Time flew by and soon it was time for us all to get ready to go and meet John. We all got out of the spa and went to our rooms to get changed. Kieran got to our room before me, and I caught him looking through my wardrobe.
“What are you up to?”
“I am having a look to see what kind of clothes you wear these days. I used to love the bright colours that you used to wear”
“Kieran we are off to meet our boss to discuss an attack from the aliens. So, I was not planning on dressing up”
“Wear this” Kieran had pulled out an orange swirl tight dress like they used to wear in the 60’s “You can wear ¾ leggings underneath”
“Whatever hand it over then” I took the dress off him and started to get dressed. I decided to wear white ¾ leggings underneath.
Kieran was still looking in my wardrobe looking at what shoes I should wear. I was starting to feel like a human doll. He pulled out a pair of white platform heels and handed them to me.
“There you go. The Jess I used to know”
“My god I feel like a doll. Kieran, we are about to go to a meeting about war. Not fashion”
“Jess calm down. You just said we are going to a meeting. We will not be going to war so you can look nice”
I did not see the point in arguing so I sat on the edge of the bed and put the shoes on. When I had finished, I looked at Kieran, he was still in his shorts.
“Are you not going to get changed?”
“I have no idea what to wear now that I have got you looking all nice”
“Then I will help” I did not have any idea when Kieran had managed it, but all his clothes had been put away in my house.
“Hey, all these clothes were not in your pack. How did they get here?”
“Um well Hayley and Oscar offered to go and grabbed them out of my car after you went to bed last night”
I shook my head at him and pulled out a nice blue striped shirt and black jeans out for him to wear “Here ya go” I threw the clothes at him and sat back on the bed while he got dressed. I must say that I was enjoying the view. When he was dressed, we went back to the lounge to meet the others. I was happy that Kieran had made me dress nice as my friends had put effort in too. Hayley was wearing a cute silk knee length wrap dress. The material was dark purple with silver flowers on it. She looked stunning. Oscar was dressed in black cargo pants and a black shirt with his leather jacket over the top. His platinum blonde hair was in its usual spikes. Amber was wearing a red dress that was very low cut and showed off her amble breasts. It clung to her middle and flowed around her thighs once it reached her hips Paul was in grey suit with a green shirt and a grey tie. His blonde hair was messy in a stylish kind of way. Her and Paul made a very cute couple. Nick been the big boy that he was, was wearing a black suit. The difference was that Nick looked like he could burst out of his. You could see that his mussels were huge. With his black suit he also had on a black shirt and a black tie. Mix this with his black shoulder length hair and he looked like a drug lord who you would not want to mess with. Christina was dressed in a pair of black dress pants and a white blouse. Her fiery red hair hung in curls down her back.
“Ok are we all ready to go?”
They all nodded so I grabbed my handbag and followed the others out. Romeo jumped in the back of the Kombi along with everyone else. He did not like been left on his own. The drive into town was not as quick as it had been the night before. The humans all seemed to be back now and the roads where packed. We finally made it to the warehouse. I parked my van in the underground parking so that no one would see it. John came and met us at the door leading into the warehouse. He was also dressed nice in a black suit with a purple silk shirt.
“Wow sir, look at you. How come everyone is so dressed up? If Kieran had not made me dress up, I would have come in jeans and a T-shirt”
“Well Jess after the meeting we have a surprise for you. But for now, we have a meeting to start” John held the door open for us and ushered us through.
Bit my tongue so that I would not argue. I knew how important this meeting was. We all walked into the big meeting room. “Hey at least I am not going to be put on the spot this time and made to stand up in front of a group of people I don’t know”
“Well, you won’t be put on the spot here no, but maybe later” Kieran snook off to talk to John before I had a chance to respond.
What the hell was that about? I muttered to myself as I wondered around and talked said hi and welcome to random people from offices in different parts of the country. People where never too keen to talk to me since the first time they all saw me I told everyone that one of their colleagues had murdered her husband. Especially when you pulled this out of their colleague’s mind. I ended up back with my friends after only a few minutes.
“When is this meeting going to commence?” I asked.
