Kieran’s POV
We all followed Nicole though a very high-end hotel and into a fancy conference room. John went straight to the seat at the end of the table while Nicole took the seat at the other end. I didn’t even think as I took the seat at John’s right and Jess took her seat at his left. I looked around as her friends all sat together on Jess’s side of the table and her family sat with me on the right. John waited for the door to be closed and then he asked Nicole what she knew. It made sense to start with that, and I expected her to know more than she did. All she knew was that the aliens had come, trapped them and then ran away. I laid back in my chair as John explained to her that the aliens had some to get our women pregnant and that it was their women who could no longer conceive. I was kind of pissed that no one had bothered to pass that information on to me. As I thought that they could just not reproduce with each other. John had to explain that not all vampires are bad, just like most humans are not bad. Then we had to go on to explain about made and born vampires, I was trying to stay focused, but this was all stuff I knew and didn’t really find relevant in helping us with this war. Finally, the questions I wanted to talk about was brought up and Nicole asked us to let her know when we came up with a plan. She even offered to house people in her hotel, but we already had a bunker all prepared. We just didn’t get to use it this time since the staff failed to spot the large spaceship coming to land.
It was decided that Nicole would take everyone’s numbers before they left so that when we contact her, she can let everyone know where to go. I liked the plan, it meant that we only had to deal with one person to pass on the information. John told her he was hoping to have more information to her within a month. Nicole seemed happy with that and led us down a hall to show us our rooms. Finally, I was going to get to me alone with Jess, well Romeo was going to be in the room as well, but I was not worried about him.
As soon as the door closed behind us Jess started to remove her clothes, and my eyes were glued to her body. She made her way to the shower with an open invitation to join her.
