Jess’s POV
Hayley reached me and the men were still in there. “Hey, where did Kieran and John go? What is in the building?”
“Relax Jess. They are going in there to get the women’s clothes and then they are coming back here and then my family are going to finish off the aliens. With you been the sniper look out of course. Now go back and watch your man to make sure that he gets out. I am going to take these women back to camp and feed them”
“Ok” I turned back to watch the building that Kieran and John had entered just in time to see them emerge with huge back packs on their backs. I watched them as they managed to get out of the camp and started up the mountain. They got to me without another alien been seen. This seemed too easy for me. I kept watching even when I heard Kieran come up behind me.
“Something is not right” I spoke to Kieran and John without turning around. “That was too easy. They knew what we were doing”
“But Jess sweetheart you killed all of the ones that saw us before they had a chance to report in” John chuckled
“Fuck” I whispered
“What” John was looking at me with what looked like fear in his eyes
“There fucking telepathic. They used fucking telepathy to let Delica or whoever is in charge that we were there. Go back to camp and talk to the humans that we freed and find out as much as you can from them. I am going to stay here and shoot anything that tries to leave that camp”
“I will go and get another rifle and come and join you. I do not like the thought of you been out here on your own”
Romeo growled at Kieran.
“That’s right you tell him Romeo your mum won’t be on her own you will be with me”
“Yes, but it will be better to have Kieran with you. What if they come in an army? Two shooters are better than one” John told me
“Ok boss point taken”
They left me and went back to camp. I turned back to the camp and saw that there was a group of the aliens around the cage where the woman had been held. The next thing I knew Delica was in my head
“Where are the women Jess? I know that you are out there as I was upset that we did not capture you. You would have made a great breeder”
“I will make a great mother too. To a human baby. Thanks for the complement thought”
“Where are the humans?”
“Well, you see I don’t really want to tell you that now do I?”
“Some of them are already pregnant Jess we need to be there at the birth. You are not skilled to perform childbirth”
“I am a quick leaner I am sure that I can work it out. Also, it’s not just me here. Come on you must have guessed that you’re not stupid creatures”
“No, your right we gathered that you were working with someone, but we cannot figure out who”
“Did your dead buddies, not give you a description?”
“They did but I cannot see how you would work with who the description matches since he broke your heart and abandoned you”
I was worried about how they knew he left me, she left before Kieran did “You’re wrong. He was following orders. Now we are as good as new” Just then Kieran came back with a rifle and looked at me oddly.
“Delica is communicating with me telepathically” I answered to the look
“Shit she knows your here”
“Yes. She gathered that I was part of the rescue crew when she noticed that I had not been caught. She was upset she wanted to breed me. Sick or what?”
“I don’t know I would love you breed with you” He nuzzled my neck as he spoke.
I pushed him away giving him a cheeky smile and tuned back in to Delica.
“Sorry where were we?”
“Very funny. We want the women back” Just then the vampires ran into the camp with their fangs out Delica managed to ask “What?” Before her throat was ripped out. Kieran and I watched with amazement. The vampires were so quick. All the aliens that had been in the clearing, were now dead.
“My god we won” I gasped
“I would not say that yet?”
“What?”
“Another ship had just landed. I think that this one is here to take away the women”
“So? We kill them too”
“No this is a battleship Jess this one has come to take the woman and by the looks of it destroy earth”
I turned back to look at the scene below. The vampires were draining the blood from the already dead aliens. My guess was that the blood tasted good. I saw Hayley and shot near her head to get her attention and hope that she would take the hint and return to camp. Lucky for me she did. Before I even had chance to get to my feet all the vampires were in front of me.
“I will let Kieran update you as he has seen it and I haven’t” As Kieran started to fill them in, I packed up my rifle. When he had finished, we all walked back to camp together. Romeo kept looking up at me and whining. I gave him a scratch behind the ears as I walked but he still whined. When we got back to camp everyone was sat waiting for us including the humans. I sat down next to John. Kieran sat down next to me. There was no room for Romeo so fit between, so he climbed on to my lap. I placed my rifle down in front of me. I wanted it close in case I needed it.
“Good shooting” John whispered into my ear and then he stood up to address the group.
“Ok well most of the people have seen the ship that arrived on the other side of the mountain and now I am going to ask for everyone to split into two groups. The first group is for people who want to try and fight this thing. I am not sure of our chances. But I know that I do not want to go down without a fight. The other group is for those who do not want to fight. There was a lot of mumbling between the people.
