Jess’s POV
“For god’s sake Jess, you know you love him too so stop been a bitch and give him another chance” Mum took my bowl off me and walked away again.
“If you ever hurt me again, I will cut of your balls as you sleep”
“I will want you to” He pulled me into him arms and kissed me. In that instant I knew that I had made the right decision I was meant to be with Kieran.
“I love you. I never stopped. The hatred just took over for a bit to hide the pain” I confessed
“I know I hurt you. I was a fool to follow the order. I missed you so much”
“I missed you too. Come on we better get back to camp everyone will be starting to worry” I took his hand, and we walked back to camp together with Romeo walking at my side.
“Well about bloody time” Justin cheered “You could have cut the atmosphere between you two with a knife”
“Sorry guys we just had some sorting out to do. But we are all good now” To improvise the point I gave Kieran a big hug.
“Well look at that, the love birds are back together”
“My god Hayley you’re here” I left Kieran’s side and ran into her open arms “I was so worried” Amber and Christina came over for a group hug.
“Are you girls hungry? Sorry Hayley, I am not sure what we can do about the blood” I mumbled
“That’s ok I can use animal blood”
“Ok so do you all want some stew?” mum asked them
“That would be great thank you Mrs Jones”
Mum walked away to turn the stew on and the rest of us sat down in a circle. John and Kieran came and joined us as did dad and Justin. We all sat in silence until mum came and joined us.
“Ok we have a lot to discuss and a short time frame to do it in. We need to start acting and save the woman that the aliens have captured”
“What about all the men? What have the aliens done to them?” Justin asked
“Good question Justin and I have no idea. They did not come here to kill they came here to stop their species from becoming extinct, so I am guessing that they have the males imprisoned” John told him
“Do we have any idea where they are um performing the um”
“Are you trying to ask where they are raping the women Christina?” I asked with a smirk
“Yes, sorry Jess I am not as straight up as you”
“No worries you’re too sweet to be straight up. It’s the way that we all love you”
“Ok girls enough with the ‘we love you speech’ Before we left Kieran and I noticed strange activity happening on the other side of this mountain. It was one of the reasons that we were so glad that this was where Jess had brought her family”
“You mean the whole time that we have been sitting on this side of the mountain that they were just on the other side from us?”
“We did not tell you straight away as we knew that you would go running after them and we needed to wait for all of us to arrive so that we would have a better chance of winning this thing” John me in his don’t fuck with me voice.
“I guess that makes sense, but I would still have liked to know”
“Sorry I guess that I am good at keeping things from you sorry. I guess that I am not much of a mentor” he grumbled looking like a wounded puppy.
“Ok, now you are being stupid. You are a great mentor, and you made me who I am today and for that I thank you. But back to the matter at hand. When do we attack the shit heads”
“Jess language please” my mum yelled
“Sorry mum”
“I was thinking that we have lunch and plan our attack. I do not want us to go in unprepared. We will send a few of us out after lunch to check out the situation and see a way that we can get in and take them out somehow” John continued
“When we had Delica held prisoner did, we find out how to kill them?” I asked
“Yes, they are just like us in that matter. If we shoot them in the head, then they die instantly. We will need you in the firing squad Jess as you are the best shot here. We will set you up as a sniper. You can kill them so that we can get in”
“Sounds good to me”
“Ok witches. What can you do?” he asked
“I am good at healing people and protecting people. I could use a spell to protect the people going in there. That will be limited though but as long as you get back to me alive, I can heal you up to be good at new”
“That’s great thank you Christina What about you Amber?”
“I am a fighting witch. I use my powers to protect”
“What like you can shoot fire balls and shit?” Justin asked
“Um no Justin I use physic power to create pain”
“Will it work on them though? I don’t want you going into the war zone and getting hurt?” I asked
“My god Jess if it doesn’t work, I am also a kick arse fighter. I will be fine”
“You better be or I will go down there and kick your arse”
“Now. Hayley, I would like you down there with us also. You are faster than them and a lot harder to kill”
“Not to mention I am a hell of a lot stronger than them and you for that matter”
“My point exactly. So will you fight with us?” John asked
“As if I would miss out on this. I have also invited some of my family to come and fight with us”
“Wow Hayley that’s great” I leaned over and hugged her
“Yeah, they love you and want to help you. I hate that your charm even works on my kind”
“Yeah, but you still love me”
“How many are you expecting to come?” John was starting to look excited
“About 20 maybe 30 give or take”
“Wow there is that many vampires out there?”
“Justin, my sheltered big brother. There are thousands of vampires out there”
“Shit. They are not going to like drink my blood as I sleep are they”
“Justin. Have some manners” Mum snapped
“It’s ok Mrs. Jones he has a right to be worried. No, we will be living off animal blood though some of them want to try alien blood”
“Ok that’s sick. But funny at the same time” I chuckled
“Jess. My gosh I cannot believe my children” my mum gasped as my dad put his arm around her but stayed silent
“Are you ok dad? You have not said a word about any of this” I asked realising we had all been talking while he sat quietly observing.
