Chapter 74 Loose Mouth
Chapter Seventy Five
Vera’s eyes widened at that statement.
“You!…” Before she could utter another word, however, three burly men walked into the private room, followed by the manger.
He pointed at Vera and Kurt,“Get them out of here!” He said harshly.
The men immediately took hold of the arms of Vera and Kurt, pushing them towards the door, while they struggled to free themselves.
“Let go!” Kurt yelled, trying frantically to get his hands free but the grip of the security guards were too tight, “Lucian Graves, are you really sure about this? Do you think the Graves family will go scot free after this?!”
“Let go! Do you know who I am?!” Vera yelled at her own guard, kicking his shin. The security guards hissed in pain, then retaliated by squeezing her arms behind her tighter.
She let out a scream of pain and Kurt was enraged.
“How dare you do that to a woman?!” He barked, “Let go of her, this instance!”
“Get them both out of here!” Aria yelled above the din, “Why are you taking so long to get rid of two people? Anymore delay will cost you your jobs, you hear me?!”
“Yes ma’am!”
The busy guards replied and in a second, they whisked Kurt and Vera out of the room.
Before they were shoved out of the door, however, Aria caught the hateful look which Vera was giving to her.
“You!…I’ll make sure you regret this!”
Aria gave her a cruel smile in return.
“Why so worked up, Vera?” She thought, “This is only just the beginning. Infact, this does not even count. I’ll make sure you feel every humiliation and pain you both put my family through!”
“Aria?” Lucian called out to her, touching her arm gently.
Aria hummed and blinked rapidly, realizing that she’d zoned out for a bit back there.
Lucian frowned lightly, “Are you okay?” He uttered softly, “You must have been surprised by their crudeness. Hmph!” His eyes turned dark with disgust, “Kurt Eugene was never the brightest bulb. How could he think of bringing his disgusting self before my presence?!”
He’d spoken with so much venom, that Aria could not help but look at him in surprise.
“Do you have an issue with him?” She asked him carefully.
Lucian swallowed, realizing that he’d given away too much of his hatred for Kurt Eugene.
He could not stand the man, neither could he shake off the feeling that he definitely had a hand in Elara’s death.
He’d deliberately said those words earlier to see how Kurt would react, and Kurt had acted like a man who was already at the gallows.
Guilt was written all over his face.
“The bastard,” he thought darkly to himself, “If you’re indeed the one who hurt Elara, I swear to make you pay a hundredfold!”
He sighed, “It’s nothing for you to worry about.” He answered, “Come, finish your shopping. Let’s go back home so you can rest.”
“I am done.” Aria answered him, giving him a light smiles she sighed, “You’re right. Those idiots actually ruined my day with their disgusting mug.”
There was disgust in her tone and hatred in her eyes as she said those words, and Lucian arched an eyebrow at her as well.
“You seem…to have an even bigger problem with them.” He uttered, then frowned slightly, “How do you know them?”
From what he knew, Aria had never been to the city after been taken to the country eighteen years ago.
Even if she came to the city once in a while, she had no business with the likes of Kurt Eugene and Vera Hale and their cycle.
The Beaumont family were not that affluent to reach such heights. And even if they were, they would never allow Aria be in such events.
It would always be Selena going in her stead.
Aria blinked, then coughed to hide her nervousness.
“Uhh…their vibe was just not giving.” She replied, “They seemed exactly like people I absolutely detest. People who go about causing trouble in public places and act like they own the world when they’re not worth shit, is really not worth my time.”
Lucian nodded thoughtfully, “Well, I guess you could say that,” he answered, “They are indeed not worth our time. If you ever come across them in the future, just boot them aside. They can’t do anything to you, either way.” He raised her hand to his lips and kissed them tenderly, “Not when you’re my wife.”
The manager came back into the private changing room then and he bowed at them, looking very contrite.
“Sir. Madam. I am very sorry for what happened earlier.” He uttered apologetically, “we have taken strict measures to ensure that Mr Kurt and Miss Vera never return to this shopping mall or any other ones that belong to us in this city. Please, do have mercy on us and be lenient.”
Lucian indicated the clothes which Aria had tried in, “Get those ready. We are leaving.” He uttered, then led Aria out of the private room.
As they passed the manager who was still bowing, he uttered coldly with it looking at the man, “Make sure you keep your promise. If I ever find Kurt Eugene and Vera Hale close to any of our establishments, causing trouble, you’d be paying with your life.”
The manager quickly bowed, trembling in fear, “Yea sir. I’m so sorry sir.” He said in a shaky voice, “I’ll definitely keep my promise. Kurt Eugene and Vera Hale will never trouble you as long as I’m here, sir!”
When Lucian and Aria got to their parked car, they found Zach waiting for them with the driver.
“Took you guys long enough.” He grumbled as he stretched his long limbs, “What on earth were you doing in there for so long? Didn’t you just want to get a few clothes?”
“Why are you here, Zach?” Lucian interrupted.
“Tch! Always grumpy as always.” Zach hissed, “Why do you think? Weren’t you the one who asked me to get more information on Elara Vaughn’s death?”
