Chapter 98 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 98 Untitled Chapter
At this moment, I don't care if Amy goes into hibernation. It would be much better if she went. And then, I will have all the peace I need in my life. Does she even have to remind me of the mistake I made earlier?

“Is she giving you a hard time again?” Hans asked, holding my hand. I was so angry that everyone of them must have realized I was communicating with Amy and she provoked me.

“I am tired of her, Hans. Amy is possessed. She says anything that comes to her mouth without a filter. I might see the healer on her case before things get out of hand. If she is possessed, then she needs to undergo a ritual, and if she is acting this way on her own, I will need to deliver her from it.”

It isn't funny, but Hans chuckled. “I doubt she is possessed. You know how these wolves can behave sometimes.”

I hope so too because I see no reason Amy will be possessed when she is an Alpha wolf.

“Here they are, Alpha Amelia. What are we going to do about them now? We need to save their lives before they die.”

Their sight is indeed so horrible. A lot of them were passing out blood from their mouths, others were injured on their limbs, and others just lay there, eyes snapped wide as if terrified.

I need to save them as fast as possible because I cannot watch them die. But how?

“Amelia? Didn't you say you could control demons now?” Hans asked, eyes fixed on me in eagerness. “Yes,”

“That is it. If you can control them, then you can also heal what they destroyed.”

“Are you kidding me? I didnt say I possess any magic to…”

“Try it, Amelia. Who knows? Your power must harbor the antidote to heal the toxins.”

Okay, I hope it does.

“Can you guys step back?”

I waved my hands, and they all stepped far away from me in case anything went wrong.

I snapped my fingers, inhaled deeply, exhaled, and shut my eyes. “Moon goddess, guide me.”

The moment I opened my eyes, blue light burst out, enveloping all the victims in a fog. They started screaming and wriggling on the bed, and others slumped from the bed and fell on the floor.

Their voices echoed in the emergency unit like howls, scaring the patients in the rooms. In a few minutes, the emergency unit was filled with patients, the healers from the seniors down to the juniors, and the janitors too.

Even though their whisperings were distracting me from concentrating on what I was doing, I tried as much as I could to block my ears from hearing them. But that didn't work, and if I halt to talk to them, everything will be out of place.

“I will shut them!” Amy screamed, flapping her ears. “They are distracting us, Amelia!”

Shutting them means she will either kill them or make them lose consciousness, but not on my watch. I cannot allow her to make any mistake that will make my pack members turn against me.

The fog became so heavy as I was losing focus, but I held onto it with all my strength. If only they knew what I was going through, they would have stopped the nonsense they were doing.

“Can you guys please keep it shut? You guys are distracting her.” Hans snapped at them, and they went mute.

Thank goodness he knew about it. Unfortunately, my energy was exhausted while trying to hold onto the power with my strength, and when I tried to concentrate more, it slipped off my hand, and I fell on my knees panting heavily.

“Amelia?” Hans ran towards me, holding my hand. “Get me water, please,” I said, my voice between a whisper and heavy breathing.

As Hans hurried away to get me water, the healers started checking the victims.

“Good gracious!” the chief exclaimed. “Their injuries are closing up, Alpha Amelia.”

“These ones aren’t bleeding anymore.”

“They are standing up.”

“Thank you, moon goddess; thank you for everything.” I sighed in relief, lowering my head. However, my joy was interrupted when the healer spoke again.

“These ones aren’t moving; they are dead.”

My heart stopped beating for a few seconds, and I couldn't help but wonder how that happened. When I released the power, it landed on all of them; not even one was left out. How is that even possible?

“Amy?” I called angrily. “What did you do? You blocked the antidote from getting to them, right? How dare you!”

“Stop yelling at me!” She snapped, standing on her paws, her eyes as red as a burning flame. “It wasn’t me who did it; it was your pack members. Weren't they whispering and distracting us from healing the victims? The antidote couldn’t get to them because we lost concentration and ran out of strength.”

Oh, great!

“Why did they die when others have regained their health?”

Whispers broke out again.

“Isn’t Alpha Amelia strong enough to release the antidote at once?”

“I doubt she is strong. She fell as soon as she released it.”

So they have no fear of gossiping about me right in front of me? I wonder where they got their audacity from.

“See? They will keep disrespecting you if you don’t allow me to teach them a lesson.” Amy scoffed. “Just hear the things they are saying. They aren't even grateful that you healed many of them.”

I managed to stand on my feet, breathing out smoke. How could they be ingrates? Shouldn't they be at least grateful that the majority of the victims were healed and back alive?

“Was it my fault that those who were destined to die died?” I thundered, startling them. “Answer me, you ingrates! The ones who died died because of you idiots. You kept chirping like birds, making me lose concentration. And now you want to push the blame on me?”

“Let me at them!” Amy snarled between clenched teeth, stamping her right front paw. “They will never disrespect you again if you allow me to teach them manners!”

“Do whatever you want, Amy!” I bite my lower lip and spread my arms to let Amy take control of me.

She let out an evil laugh, stretched her paws to jump forward and take control,

“Stop!” Hans yelled, throwing the bottle of water at me.
