Chapter 43 Untitled Chapter
My heart beat anxiously as I paced around the room, thinking of a way to remove Rowan from the Arkonix Pack without causing chaos in the Pack, or Hams finding out.
I have to kill him. I must. And it must be fast. There are many of them I want to bring down in a span of one year, and Rowan can not be the obstacle in my way.
“Why don't we attack the Pack?” Amy suggested, but I can never do that.
The Arkonix Pack belongs to Hans, and attacking it because I was to take out Rowan isn't the right thing to do. Hans will hate me, and we don't want that to happen.
“No, Amy, we can't strike. Let's come up with another idea, a good one.”
She bobbed her head, then shut her eyes.
“I think this will do,” Hans said, getting up from the bed. And as he walked towards me, I hoped whatever he had to say would be sensible.
“What if we involve Hams in this?”
Hams? How
“Explain,” I sat down, staring at him in eagerness.
“I know Hams, and I know his weaknesses. What if we tell him Rowan was part of those who killed our parents?”
Uhn? Will that work?
“Hams won't believe that, Hans, I don't think he will.”
“That's where you come in, girl. Use your magic, control his mind, and make him do whatever you want.”
Wait, I can do that?
“Of course, you can. You are a lady, and you have tried controlling Hams’ mind before, and it worked. This time, it will be like taking over his mind to do what you want.”
Jeez! I don't want to remember that day.
“But how?”
“It's simple, shut your eyes and wish for anything and see it come true. Have you forgotten what the healer said?”
I seriously need to practice this magic so well that I will master it. Sometimes, it troubles me that Amy was always the one coming up with the things I should have thought about.
“So, how do you want us to go about it? Should we go to the Pack and have a meeting with him? Or invite him over here?”
Hans hesitated for a while, then he nodded his head.
“We will invite him here.”
“Okay, I hope it works.”
Inviting Hams to the Lunskye Pack wasn't easy at all. It was as though he knew what we were going to do to him when he stepped his foot into the Pack.
But ultimately, he accepted the invitation when I told him there was something important I wanted to discuss with him.
When he stepped out of the car, he looked around with a smirk, then turned to Hans and me, who were looking at him with a smile all over our faces, a fake smile just to get what we wanted.
“I see someone has finally come back to her senses,” he scoffed, stepping away from the car, and the bodyguard closed it.
“Welcome, Hams. Shall we go inside?”
I asked, extending my hand to him.
Hams stared at my hand for a few seconds, probably contemplating whether he should take my hand or not.
“Come on, the meal is getting cold. I had the chefs prepare your favorite,”
I winked at him, then took his hand.
Hams was stunned, but he didn't pull his hand from me. He glanced at Hans, whose expression had darkened, and a devilish smile appeared on his face.
“You are so nice, Amelia, dear.”
He kissed the back of my hand, eyes fixed on Hans.
That was disgusting, but I had to pretend because we needed something from him.
We went inside the Packhouse, ushered him onto the sofa, and had the servants bring him a drink.
“While you enjoy your meal, excuse me, please., I will soon be back.”
I signalled to Hans and he followed me to the room.
“It was so easy, wasn't it? Now what?”
He scoffed, grumbled, and walked away.
“What was that, Amelia? You let that scumbag kiss your hand, and you were even giggling as if you liked it.”
Whoa! Did I just press someone's jealous button?
“Come on, Hans, this is no time for it. Also, I am doing this because of us.” sighs, “I think we should go back, okay?”
Hans chuckled, “Then stop smooching all over him, Hams is a perv!”
“I get it, okay? Relax.”
As we stepped down the stairs, the subtle cry of a lady echoed in my ears. Hans and I exchanged glances because he heard it too, even though it wasn't audible.
“What was that?” Hans asked, but before I could say anything, Amy took my attention.
“It’s Hams, he is trying to harass a girl, that punk!” she snarled.
My eyes widened in shock, and we hurried down the stairs. And it was indeed true, Hams was trying to take advantage of one of the servants. He even had her sit on his thigh, and he was forcefully touching her all over.
“What are you doing?” Hans snapped, thumping forward. He grabbed the lady’s hand and pulled her away from him.
“What was that nonsense, Hams? This isn't the Arkonix Pack, where you take advantage of the servants in the Packhouse. Are you nuts!”
Jeez! I can't let Hans ruin the whole thing for us; we must get to business before Hams decides to leave.
Even though I was annoyed by what he did, I still had to control myself and step in.
“It’s okay, Hans,”
I winked at him, and luckily, he understood what I meant.
“Go back to your quarters,” I waved the servants off, and she hurried away, sobbing.
Ahh, what a pity, Hams is a monster.
“Is this how you guys welcome a guest here? I thought that lady was sent to bring me a meal and also to keep me company.”
He is indeed nuts.
“We aren't fools, dude, we don't do that here. Now we shall get to the point.” I snapped, but that angered him, and he leapt to his feet.
“You can not tell me what to do, young lady. You know what? I am out of here!”
