Chapter 42 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 42 Untitled Chapter
I can't believe Hams would hide a wanted murderer in his Pack. How could he? And he doesn't seem regretful of his actions.

“Rowan escaped from this Pack, Hams. He attacked Amelia’s Pack. How could you keep him in our Pack? I want him out of there as soon as possible!”

“But I can't let him go; he needs my help. Also, the Arkonix Pack belongs to me; I am the only Alpha there. Right from the moment you moved out with Amelia, you ceased being an Alpha there, so you have no say in it, and you have no right to tell me what to do with my Pack!”

Omg! Hams has lost it! What is wrong with him?

“You have to send him away so we can capture him. Rowan and Axel killed a lot of members in this Pack, and we cannot let them go. What they deserve is death, too, Hams. Do not be like this.”

I tried to talk to him calmly so he would understand the gravity of the situation, but Hams was strong-headed.

“I can't!” he growled. “He has given me what I need to protect my Pack.”

What in the name of the Moon Goddess is that?

“Rowan is a rogue; all his Pack members are. They were exiled from the kingdom a long time ago, and they formed their own Pack. If this gets to the king, you know you will be in trouble. Do not let the Arkonix Pack be wiped out in history. Your parents, Alpha Morgan, and Luna Elaine raised it from how your forefathers left it.”

What I said was enough for him to understand, but he didn't want to listen. And it annoyed me that I wasted my time trying to make him understand and save his Pack before things got out of hand.

“I will shift!” Amy screamed, but I warned her not to.

This fight is mine, and I must do it alone. Last time he came, I hadn't realized my magic yet, but now, it is time to deal with Hams. After all, I still want to take my revenge for how he embarrassed me that day.

“Hams, I will say this for the last time: let Rowan and Axel go, and if you are keeping all the members from the Valtorium Pack, let them go too. According to the law, they now belong to my Pack as slaves.”

“The law said they can only be yours if you kill their Alpha, who attacked you; however, Rowan isn't dead; he is still alive and healthy.”

I shut my eyes, summoning my power; even the goddess knows that I have tried my best to make him comprehend the seriousness of everything.

I snapped my eyes wide, flickering with blue light, jumped on the desk, and threw myself at him. Unfortunately, I missed him and landed on my legs.

I was stunned that Hams shoved aside before I could land on him. I was so fast like the wind, and I knew Hams was never quick on the draw. Even if an object were thrown in his direction, it would hit him before he reacted.

“What was that light in your eyes?” He gasped, his eyes widening in shock. “Are you a witch?”

A witch? That is the most dreadful word to use on an Alpha; he knew that, yet he broke the rules.

“You wanna see what a witch does? Then you are welcome!” I wriggled my fingers, summoning the power. A ball of mist flew out and floated, and my eyes glimmered in blue light again.

From the side of my eyes, I caught a glimpse of Hans signaling for me to stop, but I cared not. Hams has pushed me to the limit, and it is time he learned his lesson.

I snapped my fingers, and the mist hit Hams on the chest. This time, he couldn't dodge it because he didn't see it coming. As soon as he fell on his back, I floated and stamped on him, my leg pressing his chest.

“Get it out of me!” he screamed, scraping his chest.

“What did you call me?” My thunderous voice echoed like a speaker, shooting in the walls like an arrow. Even the ceiling fan and the furniture in the office shook and fell. “Nobody calls me a witch! I am an Alpha, and I deserve to be respected!”

Mist floated above my fingers, and as I was about to toss it on him, Ham's face freckled into mischief, and without warning, a black wind rose, knocking me down.

My eyes snapped wide, and my heart pounded, seeing Hams floating in a black wind. It is the same thing I have been seeing in my dream for a week now, and when he raised his hand, I knew what he would do next.

Quickly, I shoved aside, and the black mist landed on the tiles, shattering the spot into pieces. My heartbeat increased, and anxiety overshadowed me.

I saw that in my dream, but I never knew it was a warning to me about what would come to me. I only saw a black cloth floating in the wind, and not a face. So it was Hams, and he is the same wind that took Axel out of this Pack.

“Do not joke with me, kitty!” He laughed, sounding like a speaker in the wind. “I am more powerful than you, and I can turn this Pack and all that is in it upside down!”

He disappeared into thin air, chuckling.

“Did you see that?” Hans asked, shocked.

“Yes, Hams is…”

“He is the one who took Axel away.”

How is this possible? When did Hams possess that kind of magic? It is dark, and dark magic is forbidden in this kingdom. Also, only Rogues could possess it.

“That magic doesn't belong to Hams; he isn't a Rogue,” Hanse said, and he was sure about it. He helped me get on my feet, and I quickly sat in the chair.

“Do you think he has turned into a rogue?”

“Hell no, that can never happen. But one thing is sure,” he paused, staring aghast.

Rowan transferred it to him!
