Chapter 41 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 41 Untitled Chapter
If not for Hans, who interrupted me by clearing his throat, I would have informed the General that I possessed magic, something I want to keep a secret.

“Alright, Alpha, we shall do as you've said.”

A few minutes after the general had gone, I engaged Hans in a conversation about going to the healer's place. He might be back from his trip.

“I need to know about that wind I have seen in real life two times and the constant dream I am having about it.”

He bobbed his head, got up from the sofa, and approached me. Hans put one hand on the chair where I sat and the other on the desk, enclosing me between his hands.

“Are you scared, Amelia?” He teased, then winked at me.

Me, scared? Pfft. Has he forgotten I am an Alpha? And Alphas don't get scared of anything?

“Come on, Hans, you know I'm not scared of anything. It's just that I am having constant dreams about it, and it…”

A subtle knock from the door interrupted me, and we both veered towards the door at the same time. When I called out to whoever was in there to come in, Hams Morgan did.

“You guys play love in the middle of chaos?” He scoffed, closing the door behind him.

What nonsense chaos is he talking about? Oh, wait, is my pack under attack again? My heart skipped a beat, but I quickly ignored it because the general would have barged in here.

“What are you doing here, Hams?”

Hans snapped, stepping away from me. Seeing how angry Hans looked, he stepped back, waving his hands. “Whoa, bro, calm down. I'm not here to fight; I have come to make peace.”

Hams, make peace? That is impossible. He hasn't even done all the things he said he would do to us, and now he wants to make peace? He thinks we are fools to believe him.

“After the attack, I have been willing to come greet you guys and to extend my disappointment in the Valtorium Pack for what they did,” he sighed, but even a pup would know that was fake. “Well, it is over now, and I am sure Rowan will never try any shit with your Pack.”

“Hams, you are not needed here, and we don't need your stupid condolence. We know you a lot; you aren't this way; you are a …”

“Oh, Amelia, dear,” he sighed. “You and I weren't like this before. We loved each other so much and were supposed to get married until someone came in between us.” He glared at Hans. “I don't know what he might have told you about me that made you leave me, but I can assure you that I never meant any harm.”

“Cut the crap, Hams!” I snapped at him, getting up from the chair. Hams cannot fool me; he is only pretending, and I know what he is here for: to mock us.

“Cut to the chase, dude; we aren't pups here. Just tell us you are here to ridicule us over what Rowan did.”

He glanced at Hams, who was so upset and was ready to pounce on him, then he veered towards me.

“Okay, guys, you caught me. Arrgh,” he scoffed, rolling his eyes.

I knew it! Hams?

“Yes, I came to ridicule you guys for being attacked. You have an Alpha here… oh, two Alphas, yet you couldn't take Rowan down. Shame on you!”

“Are you kidding me? I killed that bastard!”

“How can someone who died come back to life? Rowan isn't dead, girl; you guys already know that. And you,” he smirked at Hans. “You have a mighty wolf who can take down your brother, but cannot take down Rowan? Jeez! I am so disappointed in you.”

“Amelia?” Amy called, breathing smoke, “Allow me to tear this guy into pieces. He cannot come into our pack and scorn us. Who is he, your father?” She snarled through clenched teeth.

“Leave him with me, Amy. I can deal with him. But if he keeps getting on our nerves, you shall have him to yourself.”

She calmed down, went down on her paws, and grumbled.

“Kindly leave and never set foot here, Hams. I think I warned you about this before.” Hans barked, pointing towards the door.

“But I didn't step foot in the Pack; I drove here and stepped out of the car on my paws.” He cracked up like a maniac.

To be honest, that made my blood rage, and I felt like jumping on him and yanking his throat. How dare he make a fool out of my love?

“Amelia?” Amy called again, shaking her paws.

“Give me a few minutes; he hasn't pressed the button yet.”

Hans inhaled deeply, tapped his temple, and exhaled. We were both doing our best not to pounce on the blabbermouth.

“You know you and your wolf are cowards, right? So, I will give you one last chance to leave,” I said, forcing a smile. But Hams didn't move a step; he sat down in the chair facing the desk and crossed one leg on top of the other.

“We aren't cowards, and hey, I'm not done here. There is something important I came to let you guys know.” He glanced at Hans.

“Spit it out and be on your way, dud; your cowardice reeks. And you are polluting the oxygen my mate and I breathe in. Also, we don't want you to contaminate our pack members with it.”

He felt offended; however, his eyes glinted in mischief.

“It is about Rowan, and you guys are eager to know where he is, correct?”

Uhn?

“I know where he is.”

I sprang up again, and so did Hans.

“You know where he is?”

But how did he know? I wanted to ask him, but I felt that wasn't necessary. The most important thing is knowing where Rowan is.

“Of course, kitty, Rowan is in…” He looked at Hans with a smirk.

“Spit it out, bastard!” my voice thundered like a lightning strike.

“He is in the Arkonix Pack.’

The Arkonix Pack? Which Arkonix Pack? Oh, wait a second, his Pack!

What!

Hans and I exclaimed shockingly.
