Chapter 111 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 111 Untitled Chapter
“This is getting out of hand!” Healer Matt said, hastening towards the emergency cubicle, that Amelia was being attended to by the doctors.

“What do you mean?” I asked him, hurrying after him.

However, healer Matt didn't say a word. He kept on going until he arrived and parted the curtains. Amelia was on the bed; her condition had become so much worse, and it moved me to tears seeing her that way.

“Excuse me, please,” healer Matt said, waving his hand to the doctors.

They bowed their heads and hurried away. The moment they were gone, he gestured to me to close the curtains. I did as he had signaled, and I stepped closer to the bed Amelia was lying on.

“Get away from me!” Amelia screamed, turning her head from side to side, kicking her legs as if she were fighting with invisible forces. Healer Matt shook his head, his hands resting on his waist.

“What caused this, Alpha Hans?” He asks, staring deeply at Amelia in pity. “I have no idea. Just do what you want to do so that Amelia will come back to her normal self.”

I thought he was going to do something about her condition when he sent the doctors away, but here he was, wasting time.

May the moon goddess forbid it, but what if Amelia gave up the ghost as he was still deliberating on what to do when?

“Relax, Alpha Hans. Allow me to concentrate so that everything will be good.”

I stepped back, praying to the moon goddess to spare Amelia's life.

“Did you by any chance inform Amelia of what we discussed a few days ago?”

What is he talking about? Wasn't he the one who told me never to let Amelia know?

“No, I didn't. Just do something already; Amelia is losing it.”

I was scared to the bone, and my heart was quivering inside my rib cage, sending an intense pain to my sternum.

“Amelia is an alpha, a powerful one at that. Nothing will happen to her. Just tell me what caused her to lose consciousness.”

“She was trying to attack Matilda. Coincidentally, a loud bang came from the gate, and a huge dog knocked her down.”

Healer Matt nodded his head; a glint of a smile curved beside his lips.

“That isn’t something to be worried about; those were demons. And just as I've told you before, they sensed that Matilda was in trouble, so they came to save her.”

Oh my goodness! If only Amelia were conscious to hear what the healer had said.

“But isn't it time for Amelia to know who Matilda really is?”

I asked him, but he shook his head. “Not yet, Alpha Hans. I want Amelia to find it out by herself.”

“This is bullshit!” I snapped at him, “Amelia's life is in danger if she doesn't realize who Matilda is now. Also, the demons have been attacking the innocent in this pack. I think you are just ignorant and don't care for the lives of those who are being killed.”

“Hell, no, Alpha Hanss. I am so sorry if what I said provoked you. But it is for Amelia's own good. You have been trying to make her understand that Matilda is a demon; however, she doesn't want to believe you. So, we have to let her realize it by herself because we have no evidence to show her that Matilda is what she is. Alpha Amelia will be mad at us for trying to frame Matilda for who she isn't. So, please, understand where I am heading.”

I can't believe it has come to this. If only Amelia could believe us so that we could bring an end to this as soon as possible.

“Hans?” Kael called. “Why didn't you push Matilda to the limit?”

“But how?” I asked him, “You will know how to do that; you can press the bad one’s button. Make her angry in a way that she wouldn't have any choice but to unleash her power. But before you do that, you must set up a camera to capture everything so that you can show Amelia later.”

OMG! That was a brilliant idea.

However, it will put me at risk. I have no power to save myself if Matilda decides to harm me.

“Do not worry about that because you also have a hidden magic that even you don't know.”

Is Kaell so serious right now? I bet he is only saying that so that I would have full confidence to push myself into danger.

“No, I pass. I cannot endanger my precious life. Do not forget I have got a lot of things I want to do in the future.”

“It is Amelia we are talking about, Hans!” Kael snapped at me. “Amelia needs our help. If we can expose Matilda to her, then she won't be so stressed again. Her wish of seeing peace in this pack will come true.”

Sighs. Now I am hooked.

“No, you are not hooked yet. You will only get into that phase if you don't do the right thing now.”

Hmmmm.

“Tell me when you are ready to do it so I can guide you. Come on, dude. You have a smart wolf here, so utilize this opportunity before I change my mind.”

“Why don't you use the smartness to fight alone?” Pfft. “Demons? Count me out.”

“Alpha Hans? I have an idea,” healer Matt said, turning to me.

Surprisingly, Amelia wasn't attended to by him. She was still battling in her state.

“Why do you keep wasting our time, Healer Matt? Do you have any idea that Amelia’s life is in danger?”

“Calm down. I am the healer here, and I know what's best. Now listen to me, Alpha Hans.”

“You will make Matilda show her true self to Amelia.”

Like, seriously?

“Oh, we shall see if you will do it or not.” Kael cracked up, rolling on my mind.

“Why don’t you do it?” I asked him, “Amelia will listen to you more as the oracle from the goddess.”

“She won't. Everything is in your hands now.”
