Chapter 110 Untitled Chapter
HANS MORGAN
If I had a thousand hearts, all of them would have shattered into pieces. I was confused, shocked, and devastated when I saw Amelia on the floor, crying like a little pup whose candy was snatched from him.
Ever since I moved into this pack, I have never seen Amelia crying this way before. Something indeed must have happened, and it must be something huge, or else Amelia wouldn't be like that.
What shocked me the most was when she started yelling at me, calling me a betrayer, a cheater, and a heartbreaker. I have never once done things that would make her accuse me that way.
I have always been careful not to break her heart, but here we are. Sighs.
I must have done something that could have warranted that.
“Oh my goodness! This is bad!” Kael, my wolf, said, standing straight. Our eyes were fixed on Amelia as she ran down the stairs, crying and waving her hands.
I followed her, calling her to come back. However, she ignored me.
But what really excited me at that moment was when she pushed Matilda out of her way. To be honest, that was the best moment of my life.
Matilda thought I was going to help her get up from the floor, but she made a mistake.
“Please, Alpha Hans, help me,” she cried out, holding her waist.
I scoffed at her and turned my back on her. That was a slight push, and I am certain that nothing had happened to her. She was only putting up an act so I would stay behind to make Amelia more provoked.
“Didn't I warn you to stop calling my name?” I glared at her before following Amelia.
“Amelia, please wait,” I called out, hurrying towards the parking lot. However, she got into the car, shut the door so hard that my heart nearly burst out of my chest, and the next thing, I was knocked down by the car.
It shocked me and made me wonder if she made the driver do that on purpose or if it was an accident. If it were an accident, the driver would have stopped and gotten out of the car. But since they didn't come out, I was 100% sure that it was on purpose.
The moment the car drove out of the company, I gathered myself, got up, and returned inside the company.
“That was so painful.” Kael groaned. “Yes. And I don't think I can feel my left hand.” I sighed deeply, holding my hand.
“What has happened to Amelia?” I asked Kael; perhaps he would know why she was acting that way. If he could communicate with Amy the same way they always did, then he would be able to figure out why she did that.
“Amy has been blocking communication with me these days, Hans. I have no idea what happened or how to get to her again.”
Wow! This is serious.
If Amy could block communication with Kael, then there must be something I am not being told.
As I was entering the reception, I walked into Matilda. As soon as our bodies brushed, anger swelled up in my heart.
“Watch where you are going, demon!” I snapped at her, and she bowed her head, apologizing.
“Please do not yell at me, Alpha Hans. I am sorry. I am already shocked enough seeing Alpha Amelia that way.”
“Just get out of my sight. I don't want to see you, demon!”
However, as I turned my back on her and stepped inside, she grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me out of the reception.
How did she do that all of a sudden? Well, I knew she was a demon. As weak as she looked, she had internal strength. It is only Amelia who doesn't believe it. If only Amelia were here to see what Matilda had just done.
“Listen to me, Hans. I have something important to tell you.”
Hans? I knew a day like this would come.
“I am listening.” I snapped at her, dropping my hands inside my pocket. “And make it quick,” I added.
She looked from left to right as if making sure that no one was on-site to eavesdrop on us.
“Listen attentively,” she said, her voice above a whisper. “What Amelia must have seen inside the company was what turned her that way. Trust me, Amelia is hallucinating.”
I was such a fool to have listened to her.
“If you have nothing important to say, I am out of here,” I thought. She had something important to say, perhaps what caused Amelia to be acting that way.
“No, I am not done.”
“Just ignore her, Hans. Matilda is trying to buy time with you so that when Amelia sees you guys together, she will have the wrong impression.” Kael was absolutely correct.
“This should be the last time you are doing this shit with me!” I snapped my finger on her face, glaring at her.
The moment I turned to leave, she wrapped her hands around my waist and placed her head on my back.
“Are you nuts!” I shook her off me, and she fell on the ground. She hits her waist on the brick this time, and it makes me so happy. Didn't she pretend earlier on to be in pain? Now she has gotten a real one to nurse.
She got up from the ground like nothing ever happened to her. Surprisingly, she covered her face and started sobbing.
“What stupid act are you playing right now?” I yelled at her, my hands flying in the air. If she didn't stop that, I was going to slap her and beat the hell out of her. But before my hands could descend on her, I heard Amelia's voice and turned around.
She threw a fog on Matilda, making her fall back on the ground. I was so confused that I ran to Matilda instead of running to stop Amelia from doing what she was doing.
“You are hurting the innocent!” Seriously, I wasn't going to say that, but it slipped off my tongue, and now I regret it.
Before I could explain to her that I didn't mean it, a loud bang came from the gate. A huge fog zoomed towards Amelia and hit her on the face.
“Amelia!”
I screamed, the veins in my neck and arms popping out. I gathered her in my arms and ran towards the parking lot.
