Chapter 103 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 103 Untitled Chapter
And here we go again. This stupid girl is manipulative. Let’s see how Amelia will react to this now.

“Can you step away from her and come here so you and I can have a word?” I crossed my arms, looking at Amelia. “No, Hans. You are embarrassing me,” she tapped her forehead. “Stop doing this, please. If you like Matilda, say it instead of making her look like a bad person in front of me, and then behind me, you go ahead to flirt with her.”

May the moon goddess forbid that. Flirting with Matilda is one of the major sins I could ever commit in my life. A demon? I will rather stay single for the rest of my life if Matilda is the one I flirt with.

“Alpha Hans?” Matilda called in her hypocritical tone.

I veered towards her direction and gave her a deadly glare. “One more word from you,” I warned, “and get the hell out of here!”

I don't know if that was a pretense or if she really got scared, but the hypocrite fled.

“That was…”

“Oh, spare me the details, Amelia,” I snapped at her, cutting her short. “If you have decided to turn a blind eye to what that girl is doing, I won't. Also, I am not cut out for any drama right now. I came to inform you that we shall be going to the healer’s house now. So, get your butt to the car!”

I stormed out, my heart pounding so hard in my ears. With each step I took on the stairs, I felt like grabbing Matilda by the neck and yanking off her head from her body.

How dare a demon step into the wolves' den and try to manipulate an Alpha?

She was standing by the car when I stepped out of the apartment, and seeing her made my blood boil with rage. If only I were gifted with magic, I would have put it to good use by destroying that girl.

“If I ever see and hear you lie against me again,” I pointed my finger at her, my eyes fierce red. “I will chop off your head and send it back to your realm. And if you think I can't do that, dare me!”

She smirked, rolled her eyes rudely, and when she parted her lips to speak, her expression suddenly changed to that of an innocent, weak one who was being bullied. No one needed to tell me that she had seen Amelia heading towards us.

“Out of here! And for the whole of today, I don't want to set my eyes on you. If you do,”

“Matilda? Stay in the packhouse, okay?” She placed her hand on Matilda’s shoulder and spoke to her calmly. “I will talk to him.”

“Please, do. I don't want to…”

“Go!” The veins in my neck popped up as I yelled at her for the last time. Mattilda took to her pace and disappeared inside the building.

The glare I gave Amelia before entering the car was enough to let her know I was so upset to listen to her lecture me about Matilda. So, throughout the drive, she didn't say a word to me, and I didn't say anything either.

I kept sulking, biting my fingers, and spitting them out when the anger hit a wrong spot.

To be honest, I can tolerate whatever nonsense from anyone else except Matilda, whose ambition is to sabotage my relationship with the woman I love. If Amelia doesn't want to see her as a threat, then she can't stop me.

A few minutes at the healer’s house, she wanted to engage me in a conversation again, as healer Matt was taking too long to come out, but I still ignored her because I wanted her to get the message that I was upset with her for everything about Matilda.

“You can't keep on ignoring me,” she frowned. “I know you are doing this so that I won't scold you for treating her that way again.”

Like seriously? Is she still on the bad guy’s side? Well, that is fine.

“You are doing a good job, Has,” Kael remarked, chuckling. “Do not say a word to her until she realizes that she was wrong to talk to you that way because of Matilda.”

As that is what I will do. If Amelia doesn't realize her mistake, we will keep doing a breathing competition.

“Alpha Amelia? Alpha Hans?” healer Matt bowed his head lightly, beaming in delight. “Since you returned from the dark shadows sect, you and I haven't met.” He took a seat in his old recliner. “Welcome back, Alha Amelia, our pride and our hero. May the moon goddess keep blessing you. And may she elevate your power to the highest rank, where no creature in this kingdom will be able to defeat you.”

What a good prayer.

“Thank you, healer Matt.” She chuckled softly, slouching on the sofa.

“And Alpha Hans? I hope you are enjoying your stay in this pack. I know by now, you should be attached to us because we are…”

Blah, blah, blah! Arrrgh.

Can't he at least allow us to say a word too? These old folks.

“Yes, thank you.” I forced a smile and leaned on the sofa.

“That is great. So, what brought you guys here today? But before that, can you tell me why you both look so boring? You guys are acting like a couple who were forced to mate. Are you two having a misunderstanding?”

Okay, now he has got the hint.

“Normally, you and Alpha Amelia always cling to each other whenever you come visiting.”

“We aren't fighting, healer Matt.” Amelia smiled. “We are only here for something important.” As if he didn't believe Amelia, he looked at me, and I forced a smile. “Okay. I can see,” he nodded his head.

“So what brought us here is Amelia has been perceiving demon odor since she returned from the dark shadows sect. And you know about the demon attack a few days ago, so there's no need to go into details. Can you tell us what is happening? Also, everything started when she returned with a lady.”

Amelia sighed and crossed her arms. She seemed uninterested in the conversation. And surprisingly, she didn't try to defend Matilda this time. Maybe it is because we are in front of the healer, or because I have been ignoring her, or because she was tired of defending herself.

“This is serious.” He shook his head, staring at the crystal ball on the table in front of him. “Alpha Hans? Can we have a word, please? Without Alpha Amelia.”

“Excuse me?” Amelia frowned at him. “It is I who am going through this, and it is I whom you should be talking to alone. Why, Hans?”

“Because you aren't going to believe it if he tells you that Matilda is a demon.”
