Thomas POV:
When I returned to the cabin, Brenda decided to inspect the area carefully.
I was not comfortable letting her go out all alone, but she was saying the truth when she talked about practice.
Though I believed in her abilities. She would grow stronger if she practiced a lot.
After Brenda left the cabin, I started thinking about how she blushed when I moved closer to her. The thought of it made me smile with my mouth moved aside.
She looked so cute when she blushed, I smiled again.
I sighted the roses on the table, it made me remember how happy she looked when I handed the flowers to her as we walked on the street.
The thought of it made me smile.
Why has she not returned from her stroll? Did the Vampires attack her and injure her?
How did I even let her go alone, this forest is very dangerous. I began to regret why I let her go alone.
After taking a look at my watch I realized she has been out for a while already. These days whenever there is something wrong with Brenda I cannot be calm.
I used to be so calm whenever I had to handle something. But when it has to do with Brenda I am never calm again.
I started pacing faster each time I think something bad might happen to her.
I followed her scent that lingered in the air, so I just moved with it.
Soon I got to the spring pool, where I heard a sound coming from the pool.
When I looked inside I saw Brenda taking her bath in the water, I was breath taken when I saw her in the pool.
Brenda was in the hot spring pool taking a warm shower. Her skin was so bright and her face was a bit red because of the warm water.
She looked like a fallen angel, she did not notice I was there watching her, and she continued to enjoy her warm bath.
I did not bother to disturb her, nor did I want to keep staring at her in the water, so I decided to leave.
As long as Brenda was fine it's okay with me. After taking a few steps, the scene continued to flash through my mind.
Since I was younger I have never picked any interest in a she-wolf.
I still cannot understand why I am so interested in Brenda.
I didn't understand why I was so attracted to Brenda.
This time an unusual smell came to me. It smelled like a werewolf.
Is it possible for us to Smell a Vampire? I stopped walking at once and stood to carefully listen.
I heard footsteps of something or people coming toward me in a rush. These footsteps were getting very close to us.
From the sound I was hearing, I realized they were vampires and they are even more deadly than the ones we came across yesterday.
I have not fully recovered from the silver bullet.
Obviously, we are going to be defeated by the number of Vampires coming toward us.
I really wanted to bring Brenda out of the water, but she was still naked, so it felt unreal for me to drag her out of the water.
The footsteps were rushing closer as every second went by. I cannot afford to put Brenda in danger.
Obviously, we were no match for them.
The only way to get away from this is to hide somewhere and die sometimes, because of the urgency at hand.
After breathing down, I walked into the spring pool.
I walked slowly so I didn't attract the attention of the enemies.
"What is wrong with you?"I heard that voice of my wolf, Chad scolding me, "Your mate is in the hospital and you're flirting with other girls? Are you out of your mind?"
I leaned back on the couch with a sigh, "I wasn't flirting or anything like that, complimenting a pretty girl doesn't make me a cheater."
I could feel Chad turning inside me with tension, "I didn't like the way you looked at her at all, you need to be careful there's something off-putting about her aura,"
Chad can be so sensitive.
"You're overdoing it really Chad, "I said, "Am I? imagine Brenda talking to some guy the way you were talking to that girl?"
I felt my fist subconsciously clench when the undesired picture flashed across my mind.
"Not so nice when the tables are turned like that right?"
"Just shut up, Chad."
"You don't understand, Thomas, you are really vulnerable right now because-"
I said shutting him out of my mind so I could think better, he could nag like an old woman at times.
But we wouldn't be able to get anywhere if we kept going at the vampires like this, they would just keep coming up like flies, and now they were already armed with silver ammunition that was another problem.
I had taken the blow of a silver bullet because of me being a Lycan of a royal bloodline, but a regular wolf could have died on the spot like that.
A sigh escaped my lips as I shifted on the couch, I had to make some moves while Brenda recovered.
Those basterds actually had the audacity to hurt my mate, I was going to make sure they paid with their life, I said with my blood boiling.
As I was lost in my thoughts two wolves burst into the cabin dragging a familiar figure who was kicking against them.
"Will you jerks let go of me already?!"She was yelling and kicking but trying to hold the flowers in her hand till her eyes met mine.
"Thomas?"
She called me her eyes wide with shock.
"Maya?"I called her back my tone filled with surprise.
"Prince do you know this woman?"One of my guard wolve's said.
I nodded, signaling them to let go of her and they did not I could hear them muttering something to each other and I barked at them.
"Didn't I just tell both of you to keep go of her?"
"But Prince, this girl was lurking around the cabin, we think that she is a spy an-"
"Are both of you deaf? Get your filthy hands off her!"
They immediately shrunk away like pups to my growl, they apologized and quickly ran out of the cabin back to their original post and I took Maya to sit on the couch and got her hot chocolate to drink.
"Thank you, I wish that your men were just a bit polite like you,"She said as she sipped the coffee.
"I was looking around for some herbs, I'm not a spy or stalker or whatever like that..."
Maya said waving her hand with the flowers that were already in them.
"I heard that I would find some here, and just when I spotted it I was grabbed,"
I can't believe myself but she actually looked prettier than when I last saw her, her clothes had been rumpled up and her head was mangled up but it gave her this sort of ruffled beauty which I couldn't take my eyes off her and it seems that she noticed.
"Is there something on my face?"She asked as she touched her smooth face with a look of surprise.
What is wrong with me? I have a mate!
We might be like most mates but that didn't mean I could just act like this-besides I need to think about how this could affect my mother.
Her health was already bad enough, I couldn't do anything to make it worst.
So I took my eyes to the roof and kept them there filling my mind with thoughts of Brenda, which was another torture on its own as I ached to hear her voice and inhale her intoxicating scent.
"I guess you have a journey to get going back to, right?"I asked hoping that from the bottom of my heart that she would just say-
"No, not actually...I still have a few more herbs to look for in this area,"
"You do?"He all but cried.
He noticed that had voice had fallen when next she spoke again, "Oh, I can leave if I am inconveniencing you right no-"
"No!"He yelled and his hand shot out to grab hers as if she was his lifeline.
"I was just curious, and it's already going to be quite hectic looking for those herbs alone."
"You'll help me?!"She asked with such glittering eyes that I couldn't even dream of saying.
So in a few minutes, a royal Lycan had his back bent picking grass and getting himself dirty.
I kept my eyes open for any vampire that may be lurking in the corners constantly checking up on my guest, but it seems like they are laying low for a bit since their last attack.I couldn't stay in this cabin forever and at this rate, we would never win against the vampires.
"Hah, finally found it!"Maya gasped running toward me like an excited pup with a piece of shrubbery in her hand.
"Thomas I fou-"She was about to complete her sentence when she tripped and would have fallen flat you the ground if I hadn't reached out to grab her.
Her soft chest pressed against me and I was filled with warmth as I felt a familiar swelling in my pants. I quickly but carefully pulled her away.
"Oh that's great, let's get going."
What exactly was wrong with me? I'm acting like I've never felt the touch of a female my entire life. A moment more and I would have just taken her without any thoughts.
Well, she had gotten her herbs or whatever so she will definitely be leaving no-
Suddenly the soft pelting of rain on my head and I grabbed Maya's hand, pulling her back into the cabin.
Of all times, why did it have to rain now? I asked myself as I closed the door with a groan and then I thoughtlessly turned around for something that I wasn't prepared to see at all in the least
Maya, she dressed soaked and everything under it exposed, at this point, I thought I could hold myself back no more.
I would take her tonight.
