Chapter 40 Forty
 I really did not enjoy the sweets but the moment I realized Brenda was enjoying them I found myself eating them comfortably like I actually liked them.
 "This is delicious, I love it," Brenda said to me with a bright smile on her face.
 "I have always loved strawberry cakes, I never thought I would actually taste them someday."
 "If you like the cakes so much, I'll take you to a better dessert store in Marge island," I said to her immediately. Brenda widened her eyes in disbelief.
 These were the thoughts I had to suppress in my mind. I could not tell her.
 "Thank you." She said with a smile before she finally put a chunk of strawberry in her mouth.
 "I feel honored to have a dessert with you." I noticed the cake crumbs were at the side of her mouth, so I decided to help her wipe them away.
 I mistakenly touched her soft lips.
 I could not feel it the way I wanted. I noticed Brenda blushed at the sight of this. When I noticed this I felt my heart racing a little.
 I suddenly felt roared inside my body, it felt like this awakened me again.
 When we finished the cake, we both walked out of the dessert shop.
 Brenda handed the brunch of roses to me and told me to wait for her.
 Mr. Taylor, I want to get you a gift too." This was the first time I hoped and waited patiently for someone.
 It took a long time before she finally came back. I wonder why I did not feel irritated at all.
 "I am back, this is what I got for you." She said with a smile while she handed the bag to me.
 I collected it from her with a smile. Just when I was about to check what was inside the bag, she stopped me.
 "You cannot open such a gift outside, you can check what is inside when we get back."
 "Why can I not take a look at it?" I asked out of curiosity. I looked down and smiled shyly.
 "It is underwear....." I was blushing so much that my face turned red, then she put her hand on her head and scratched it.
 "It's because I tore your underwear last night. So I thought it will be right for me to get you a new one.
 I was startled, not knowing what to do next. This is the first gift Brenda is giving to me. Why will she even think of giving me underwear? Just then I realized I have been wandering around the street without underwear.
 With Brenda beside me, I felt what I have never felt before. It made me want to go crazy. I was so confused.
 Mr. Taylor, you don't like the gift I got you?" She asks in a sad tone.
 "I was just thinking of a way to surprise you, I am sorry if you don't like it.
 Did she just call it a surprise? Was she really sure of what a surprise meant, but I could not watch her look so sad so I had to pretend to be fine with the underwear gift.
 "You don't have to apologize. I love your gift, it's an unforgettable one." I forced a slime out. But truly it's an unforgettable gift.
 "I am happy you like it." She said with a smile.
 As I stared at her beautiful face, I was startled not knowing what to say.
 I may never forget the surprise I received on this day, Valentine's Day.

Brenda's POV:
 Valentine's Day is today, and it's the first valentine I really enjoyed. I spent the whole day walking around the street with Prince Thomas.
 He got me roses and prepared my favorite strawberry cake. It's been a while since I felt this happy.
 I gave him underwear in return for what he gave to me. He looked surprised when I told him what I got for him.
 In return, I gifted the prince new underwear. Though he was shocked and surprised he still thanked me.
 When it was evening, we fell back to our cabin in the forest. Just yesterday we faced a deadly group of vampires, there were so many in this particular area. It was now obvious that things are not as simple as they looked earlier.
 Just to make sure the vampires don't cause any unnecessary troubles again, we both decided to go back to the area to inspect carefully.
 As werewolves, the vampires were our worst enemies. Just to be sure of our fellow wolves we have to be very cautious.
 When I got back to the cabin, I sat down on the sofa and stretched out my arms.
 "Would you like to try out the underwear?" I asked Thomas with a weird smile.
 "Why do you like to remind me about underwear every time?" He was blushing so much that his face turned pink immediately.
 "I am just worried because I think I bought the wrong size, " I said to him with a rather aggrieved tone this time.
 "And this is the first time I am giving you something." Upon hearing this Thomas walked to the room holding a shopping bag.
 I was surprised he really wanted to go try the underwear on.
 I could not hold in the laughter anymore. I wasn't expecting to see the almighty proud prince would have a very soft side.
 After sitting and waiting excitedly for him, he finally came out with a frown on his face. He was obviously shy.
 "How did you even think this would fit me?" He said while throwing a tag he removed the underwear. I couldn't stop the smile.
 "I am sorry, I didn't know your size."
 "You should know it now." Thomas immediately put one of his hands on the backrest of the sofa I was sitting on and bent over me
 His voice was gentle and low almost on a whisper, his magnetic charm pulled me closer to him.
 I shifted a little in a nervous way. We were so close to each other, that I could sight every pore on his body.
 Who is this? This is definitely not the same prince I used to know. I could feel my heart beating very fast, I was scared my heart would explode from beating too fast.
 "I need to go out for a little walk," I jumped up immediately and rushed out of the cabin as if someone chased me out.
 "Where are you going to?" He stood disappointed while asking me.
 "I want to walk around the area, you don't have to worry, I'll definitely protect myself. I hope you'll allow me to practice alone
 I walked out of the cabin and started calming myself down because my heart was already racing too fast.
 " Make sure you are careful. When you are in danger, call me for help immediately." I heard Thomas's voice from inside the cabin. I turned around and nodded at him.
 He stood in the cabin and did not bother to follow me. I sighed with relief when I noticed. I wonder what he was thinking about.
 These days he has been making my heart race faster and I don't know why it always happens like that.
 When I got out of the cabin, I looked the whole way, not wanting to fall behind, not even for a second.
 After a while, I used the fan with me to calm my face which was already too hot because of the hot sun.
 Since last night's intimacy at the cave, we have been acting strange towards each other. His attitude towards me has changed a lot.
 Though I continued to remind myself that we can never be together so I decided to resist his charm no matter what it takes.
 Although I kept reminding myself that he and I could never have a future together, I still couldn't resist his charm.
 Every time I recalled how he had taken a silver bullet for me, I couldn't calm down.
 Why am I still not attracted to a man who took a bullet just to save me? I kept asking myself in my mind, while I looked around carefully.
 I suddenly sighted a beautiful natural warm spring not too distant from me. The pool was steaming hot.
 I never thought I would see such hot water in such a place.
 I moved closer to it to take a closer look at it and feel its temperature with my hand. It appeared to be very warm when I touched it
 There is no hot water in the cabin, so I have been thinking of how I can take a shower. Finally, I have found where to get warm water from.
 After seeing it, I decided to go in and take a warm shower before leaving.
 I looked around and noticed nothing strange. After looking around I took off my clothes and went into the pool. I dived into the pool which made the water cover my whole body. And I washed away all the fatigue thoroughly.
 When I felt totally comfortable in the water I started to play with it as a child would. It's been a while since I felt this way.
 While I was enjoying myself in the water I began to hear a song I sang in my mind.
