Max walked into Adrian's office, his face depicts exhaustion. He looked like he hadn't slept a wink.
"You look terrible man," Adrian commented.
Max sighed.
"Training has been going real hard. They might be a rogue attack sooner than we expect," Max responded
Adrian groaned in frustration.
"When will these rogues learn? I am so tired of trying to scare them off the pack," Adrian complained.
"If only there was something else we could do aside from fighting," Max said.
"It's getting old already. We always beat them but they don't seem to get the message," he agreed.
"What do we do?" Max asked.
"We have to find someone stronger who would clear the rogues once and for all," he replied.
"Who do we use for something like this?" Max questioned
"I don't know," he replied, feeling drained.
Adrian had given Max the task of training their male pack members who were willing to fight the rogues. The rogues had been attacking them lately and Adrian knew it was time to make the pack stronger so those rogues would fear them.
"I'm sure we'll think of something," Max said and turned around.
"Where are you going?" he asked.
"I have to catch some sleep. I haven't been able to sleep for the past few days," Max replied, walking out.
Adrian sighed. He could relate to not getting enough sleep. Even though he had woken up at noon, he still felt he didn't get enough sleep for what Mila made him go through at night. Just as he was still thinking, he heard a knock at the door. He frowned as he thought it was Felicia. Since she came to the palace, she had been clinging on to him. He might have found that cute some years back, but now, it felt suffocating. He sighed and cleared his throat.
"Come in," he ordered and the door slowly opened, revealing a brunette.
She walked in and Adrian smirked. She had her hair tied in a bun and had red lipstick smeared on her lips. Her wife's hips and heavy bosom swayed as she walked easily toward him.
"I thought I told you not to come by my office. You could have just waited for me in the other room," he said to her, watching her intently as she walked up to him.
"I couldn't wait," she replied and slept on his lap.
Adrian groped her ass and buried his head in her blossom. He hadn't seen her for quite some time and now that she was sitting here, on his lap he felt his erection.
The brunette chuckled as she felt his erection pressing against her butt cheeks.
"You like that, don't you?" she teased.
"Strip," he demanded.
She did as she was told, and without hesitation, Adrian placed her on the table and plunged into her. She screamed but soon got accustomed to his thrusting. She wiggled her hips and arched toward him to allow him to plow deeper into her. She moaned loudly as he groped her blossom and squeezed them.
Adrian was almost reaching an orgasm when the door suddenly burst open. He realized he didn't lock the door as Mila strode in with a smile.
Mila paused. Adrian's manhood was still buried deep in the brunette and the brunette was still whining her waist against him and moaning, either ignorant or ignoring her presence.
Adrian stared at Mila expressionlessly and frowned.
"Don't you know how to knock?" he said, withdrawing out of her, her wetness dripping down to the floor and all over his dick.
Mila felt a pang in her chest but couldn't utter a word. Her mouth spread open as she watched the scene in front of her with a shocked gaze. When the brunette finally stared at Mila, she scoffed and walked into the bathroom with her clothes in hand.
"Sorry. I guess I must have walked into the wrong office," Mila said and turned around.
"It better be. You may leave," he said and turned around to finish what he was doing with the brunette in the bathroom.
Mila's POV
Once I was out of the office, I felt my throat dry up and my body temperature drop. I couldn't focus on anything and almost bumped into a maid. I couldn't believe my eyes. I thought we were getting along just fine. I thought our intimate moments had meant something to him.
I had challenged Felicia to try and seduce Adrian if she could as she tried to slap me. I had heard rumors about Adrian having a lot of women in his life with whom he has intimate moments, but never had I ever imagined that I would be one of the numerous women. That meant all those times we had sex, had meant nothing to him. I was the one reading the meaning of all the petty things he'd done with me.
How about when he took care of me? Was it just because I was in his pack and he was the Alpha and it was his duty to take care of me?
How would I face Felicia now, knowing I mean nothing to Adrian? This would be so humiliating. Well, I couldn't show any sign of weakness in front of Felicia, otherwise, she would trample all over me.
I slowly opened the door to the bedroom and sat on the couch. Should I probably leave this room for him? I guess I shouldn't. Being on my own at midnight will be risky. I would stay here, but I should probably just keep my distance.
Why was I even reading too much into this? He had told you right from the start. He isn't going to acknowledge me as his mate, neither will he claim me. So there was no need for me to be like this. I should probably just think of this as my new life. I was just a breeder. Get it together girl. You are just a breeder and nothing more.
I felt the first drop of tears roll down my cheeks. I couldn't help it anymore. I let the tears roll down freely. This was the real Adrian. This was who he was, and there was nothing I could do about that. I probably shouldn't be feeling hurt but I couldn't help it.
I didn't know for how long I had cried because when I opened my eyes, the only thing that illuminated through the curtains was darkness. I guess I must have slept off while crying my heart out.
I looked around the room and sniffed. Something smelled nice. My eyes landed on the tray by the bedside. I guess it was my dinner. I opened it and the first woman of the food hit me, making me salivate. I gobbled it down, forgetting why I was crying for a second. Just as I was about to talk another bite, the door opened and Adrain walked in. The food lost its taste as it felt like I was eating dust. I picked up the glass of water and drank, ignoring the man that just walked in.
He walked straight into his closet and changed into a towel. I felt him pause for a moment and then head to the bathroom. I sighed and picked up the tray. I needed something that would get my mind off all these. I needed to clear my head.
I walked out the door and took the tray down to the kitchen. Once I was done there, I walked into the yard. It was quiet and eerie. I walked further down into the forest as I felt a growing anger in my chest. The farther I walked into what looked like a forest, the more angrier I felt. I needed to unleash my anger on someone. I felt pain jolting throughout my body and screamed. When the pain ended, I felt angry at everything around me. From afar, I felt someone coming into the forest. I had this strange urge to kill. I ran toward the person and jumped on his or her body. I didn't care. I wanted to inflict unjust on them. Just as I was about to dig my fangs up their throat, I heard someone yell.
"Mila, stop," he or she yelled.
I felt my body go limp as the growing anger reduced and the last thing I saw was the person I had attacked, get up and reach for me.
