I
Daffodil has been assisted by the Chief maid going to the guestroom of the packhouse. The clothes, shoes, and other personal things that Lexus asked one of the omega maids to buy in the shopping mall have been all neatly hung inside the cabinet in the guestroom. Daffodil suddenly missed Lexus. She wanted to be with him, but rules inside this packhouse prevented them from being together.
When the Chief maid left her inside the guest room, Daffodil laid her back on the soft bed and closed her eyes. She tried to mind-link Lexus and luckily, she was able to reach him.
“Lexus, where are you?” she asked him.
At that moment, Lexus was on his bed too, trying to relax his body and mind. When he heard Daffodil’s voice, he opened his mind and let her voice come without any obstruction. “Sweetheart, Daf, I’m sorry, I was not able to pass by your room. I am here in our own house. I went home and spoke to my father. How are you there? Are you okay? Have you seen your things that I asked the Omega maid to buy for you?”
“Yes, Lex, and thank you. I am fine here but I am missing you already.”
Lexus heart swell with happiness when he heard what Daffodil had said. “I missed you too Sweetheart. I will be there tomorrow, I promised. I love you.”
“I love you too Lexus. Promised me, you will not give me up to Drew.”
“Of course, Sweetheart, I won’t give you up to Drew. I will die first before they can take you away from me. I love you so much Daff.”
Daffodil suddenly felt tears freely flow from her eyes. She is a strong woman but after she found out how much she loves Lexus, she became a crying baby. If this is the effect of their marking and mating, she could not comprehend it.
“Sweetheart, are you crying? Don’t. I don’t want to see you crying Daff. Don’t be sad. Don’t worry, everything will just turn out fine these coming days. Believe me.” Lexus said, mind linking Daffodil again.
“I hope so Lexus. I earnestly hope so.” Daffodil replied to Lexus’ mind linking and felt lightened up in a way after she was able to speak with Lexus.
When Lexus bade goodbye and said I love you again to her, Daffodil, wiped her tears that never stopped from flowing from her eyes until Lexus and her finished talking.

The next day, Lexus came to the packhouse as he promised to Daffodil last night. He walked towards the guest room but was not surprised to see Drew walking towards there too with a tray of breakfast in his hand.
Jealousy suddenly hit Lexus’ heart. Drew is starting to show to Daffodil his love and affection by serving her personally. He wanted to run and enter Daffodil’s room ahead of Drew but he controlled himself. He should be calm and never do anything that will harm her and Daffodil.
He turned his back but made sure to mind link Daffodil.
“Sweetheart, I am here now at the Packhouse. I was about to come to your room but I saw Drew coming over with a tray of breakfast in his hand, most probably for you. I will come after he left your room. Enjoy your breakfast. I am sorry, I was late to bring you your breakfast.” Lexus said to Daffodil through mindlink, which Daffodil was able to catch.
Daffodil smiled upon hearing Lexus' voice inside her head. She replied to him happily. “Hello, Sweetheart. I am happy that you are here now. It’s okay that you were not able to bring me first my breakfast, I understand. I am hungry so I will be eating the breakfast that Drew will be bringing, alright?”
Lexus smiled with Daffodil’s words. “Of course Sweetheart; you can eat that. Sniff your food first and make sure that he did not put anything on it. Okay? Love you. I will go to the Alpha’s office first. I will be with you in a while.”
“Alright, Drew is here now.”
“Okay. Don’t look at his handsome face Sweetheart, I will get jealous.” Lexus replied that made Daffodil laugh.
“I won’t Lex. You are the most handsome man I have ever met.” She giggled as her mind linked these words to Lexus.
“Are you talking to someone, Daffodil?” It was Drew who was already inside her room. Daffodil was surprised.
“Oh, hello Drew. Nope. I just remembered something.”
“I brought you your breakfast,” Drew said as he put the tray on top of the side table.
“Thank you, Drew. I am indeed hungry.”
“Then eat my love as I watch you.” Then Drew sat on the bed near Daffodil and looked at her tenderly.
Daffodil felt astounded then awkward. Drew was so close to her that she wanted to move away.
